@MCPOSJ117films I presume he's refering to the album cover, which is just silhouette. So hair colour doesnt matter. I only added that to make sure you didnt have the names mixed up.
Fact: Weird Al does all of the following: Parodies, Original songs, Polkas. The first and the last being nearly impossible to do at once, due to the lack of mainstream polkas.
Fact: this is not a parody.
Fact: I enjoy this song about as much as the original, which I love. (note that "this song is about as awesome/[place adjective here] as the original" would be an opinion, however, it is, indeed, a fact that what I said is my opinion)
I actually think that this is more of a different song than a parody because the tone is completely changed. It's a lot less depressing. I don't see why people get so upset over this song. It's great! You can choose which you like more.
@subcribingmachine Chill out, it's a song. We all agree Freddie was a great singer and Bohemian Rhapsody was an amazing song. Now get over your stuck up self and have a sense of humor.
Al did this as a tribute to Freddie Mercury, who had recently died. Each Weird Al album includes a polka medley song of random popular songs that have plagued the airwaves since his last album, but for this one he dedicated it all to one great song.
@MentalMeander If you are a genuine Queen fan (i.e. not just someone who owns the 3 greatest hits albums and calls themselves a Queen fan) then you should LOVE this because it's genuinely funny and not disrespectful to Queen's music at all. It's just good fun. Five covering "We Will Rock You"....now THAT is offensive.
OMG... so long since I have heard this. AND I don't think I ever listened all the way to the end. Just assumed funny.. but entire thing same as beginning. You have GOT to listen all the way to the ending.. big showbiz buildup .. accoridan polka style then HEY!! GENIUS!
I actually heard this song before the Queen version. I know that's weird, but it really helped me not hate this version. Obviously I like the original better, but like this version, too.
From what I understand, this was done as a tribute to Freddie Mercury.

I love this song because Bohemian Rapsody annoys me. Al Yankovich can make anything fun.

Freddie would have a much better sense of humor about it than you would give him credit for.
That man had a great sense of humor and very likely would have liked this.
