  • price?

  • Great Amp but i think they should have turned the control panel upside down so you can actually read the words from the front of the amp not the back.I usually don,t adjust the knobs while standing behind my amp.

  • Is the head an actual speaker too? Could you run it by itself if you need to have a quiet environment?

  • @Vartex nope, the head is NOT a combo, it's just the amplifier. You need to hook some sort of speaker to it to be able to hear it.

  • @homelessperson Kay thanks for the response, Just thought it might have been a double speaker sort of deal because it looks like it has a speaker grill.

  • Craftsmanship, quality control and child labor laws ect.

  • Johnny Demarco! He's like the best guitarist I've ever seen!

  • It's to bad this shit is made in China.

  • @Highvoltageism

Thats the reason you can afford it.

Too bad its demo'd by cheesy americans.

  • @Highvoltageism Why do you assume that things built in china are not as good as things built in the USA or Europe? What do you have that they do not have?

  • Umm, if Zoe and Wash from Firefly had a child, would he come out looking like this guy?

  • Total noob question, what kind of music can I play with a Telecaster and this Amp?

  • @mcarrera77 u can have vintage sound like country-blues-rockabilly-rock'n roll, but not metal(thrash or blabla shitty music). And i hope your not a metal player with a telecaster, that would be a shame.

  • @Veritasilio LOL, nope I like blues, Clapton and Hendrix, 60s-70s rock. I own an Epiphone LP, I love it but somehow it doesn't seem to fit my musical taste. Next step however is to get a tube amp, then I'll think about a guitar. Thanks for the reply!

  • @mcarrera77 than you should get a amp like this or cub10 laney, which onee do you like. Also try blackstar ht1r but i dont think thats good enough this amp, enjoy

  • Oh god, Jonny Demarco.... this man is hilarious

  • They actually managed to make a half-decent rig sound boxy and harsh. Nice work Vox USA.

  • STEVE THE PIRATE!

  • I always wondered if you could play metal with this amp?

  • how much does the 12" cab cost?

  • @Zepp3849 Closer to $200 im pretty sure

  • so this or the lil night train?

  • Garth Elgar just found his lost cousin.

  • I'm confused, was this a demo of the mini or the 12" cab?

I think he pulled the 'ol switcharoo, lol

  • TO HELL WITH ALL OF YOU JOHNNY DEMARCO HATERS. HE IS AMAZING AND TOTALLY SLAYS. PLEASE LOOK UP MORE ROLAND/BOSS RELATED VIDEOS AND LEARN SOME GODDAMN RESPECT.

  • @sloanstewart That's his brother, Frank DeMarco.

  • I just ordered a new AC4TVMini from Musician's friend for $120 with free shipping! If it sounds good, I'll buy a second for stereo effects like chorus to really show its chime sweetness. I've got Nady SCM900s (condensers) to record it.

This guy has some cool chops.

  • you can hate on his hair, but the guy's got chops.

  • @reioko

Wow, I just said almost the exact same thing about his chops before I read your comment. I don't' care about his hair, this dude can play so many styles.

  • my review check it out

    youtube.com/watch?v=t6ByynW9_4c&NR=1

  • whats up with your mouth 3:11 ?

  • If I get a head and a cab it will be louder then combo?

  • @MZuCraze It all depends! More speakers will make it louder so if you have a 1x12 combo and put it up against a head with the same amount of watts as the combo and pair it with a 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet then it will definitely be louder. An 80 watt 2x12 combo will probably be louder than a 20 watt head with a 4x12 cabinet though. Watts don't matter as much as many think though. A 100 watt amp is only twice as loud as a 10 watt amp in dB, though your ears will perceive it as much louder.

  • @bbnatedogg It depends on the specific speakers. Some 10s are actually louder (more efficient) than some 12s.

  • to all the people that have this do you think the combo version would be easily loud enough for a band situation when running it with a 4x12 cabinet?

  • @ledzepnirvanaramones nahh at practice you will be drowned out... these beauty's are loud but not THAT loud

  • @NazgulOfRussia

So you telling me that if I were to pop this thing onto a marshal cab, it wouldn't be loud enough to compete with the drummer?

  • @dancingwithcalvin its irrelevant. Although the Cab should be plenty loud... the power amp doesn't produce enough power to drive the cab to its potential.. you'd want at least 30-50 watts to drive than cab.

  • @NazgulOfRussia so what if i paired the combo with a less powerful cab like a Night Train 2x12? and I'm pretty sure the Marshall thing mentioned would work fine considering I've played with a drummer using only my Vt30 combo and it worked out okay

  • @tatertot205 yeah i could imagine that working fine... would sound interesting.

i guess it also depends on the drummer... because when i played with my Vt50 i was drowned at at full volume, attunuator and all.

If all eles fails though, you could always mike it and not have any problems with volume.

  • Too bad where I come from you have to sell your fucking soul in order to buy a 4w tube amp, or any gear, really. I hate this place :D. Btw this dude looks like Robert Plant lol

  • I didnt know Sammy Hagar did guitar amp demos.

  • let me get this straight; so if i buy this amp, i will be that happy when i play

  • THATS ONE GOOD SLIDE PLAYER!!!!

  • this dude fuckin sucks

  • @UmpFromRs I guess everybody should subscribe to your channel in anticipation of when you stop playing video games and finally prove you can own this guy.

  • Glad to see Johnny DeMarco's toned it down a bit.

  • These one trick pony amps are as gay looking as the hairdoo.

  • @journeyquest1 One trick pony amps? … All of the best amps in the history of the world have been small Class A tube amps, like the Fender Champ, the vintage version of this amp, old Supro amps, and others like them.

Anyone who prefers good tone over garbage effects will agree. An amp that does one thing really well is worth 10 times the money than an amp that does 10 or 100 things poorly.

  • No reverb? I will look elsewhere.

  • @journeyquest1 ever heard of pedals before?

  • @journeyquest1 reverb pedal kid. pedals give better reverb than most amps do anyway

  • 2:37 was one of the highlights of the video.

  • couldn't hear anything...was mesmerized by his cascading, golden locks

  • This guy can surely rip. But just another generic studio guitar player.

  • @taila1976 Well, he probably makes a good living with his playing anyway, so I don't see how that's bad.

  • Great amp. If you want to hear it live go to my page

  • this guy could make anything sound great! wish mine would sound this good!!

  • I'll bet 99% of the people talking shit about this guy couldn't play half as well as he is here. I swear on all these amp and effect demos most of the comments are making fun of the guys in the vids, or how they sound like Jack Black (Gearmanndude, anyone?) This amp sounds pretty damn cool!

  • @LaphroaigPhan The guy playing is the only interesting part. The review isn't all that spectacular, its okay, but nothing amazing, so that leaves us with trying to enjoy the personality. And that's what we're doing. I certainly can't play leads like he does, but if I played like he does, then I would sound like every other SRV worshipper on YouTube.

Plus, that hair… I mean, come on. Are you trying to say that his appearance doesn't make you giggle a little?

  • Robert Plant called, and wants his hair back.

  • @tombuttner lol!!!!!!! best comment on here!!!!!

  • @tombuttner Jimmy Page called, and wants his skills back.

  • @tombuttner good one!

  • It looks like somebody dumped a pot of Ramen noodles on this guy's head!

  • @kelljm

LOL. Just coughed in my bowl of ramen noodles.

  • I have one of these amps! They have the best clean lead tone I've ever heard!

  • 2:37-2:39 Pedobear

  • isn't this the guy from all those Boss pedal videos?

  • @Ramones1234100

Why not save the negative shit for people who deserve it; like the 45 of you.

    What assholes.

  • i got 100w marshall and apain to go to carry when i am jamming at around with friends! this may b a nice amp to have for small shit like that!!

  • who cares about the playing he plays however the fuck he wants and you could do too if you got this amp.. not everyone are the same

  • he is having way to much fun with this amp

  • What do you think? AC4TVH + cab or AC15VR? Mostly for U2, clean sounds, and sometimes bank rehearsals? HELP!

  • Did the guy from Roland got fatter??

  • A Vox guitar through some Vox Satriani pedals into a Vox amp....

  • Looks like we've got a lot of jealous guitar players...haha.

  • @notyz123 I wouldn't say 4 wats is just as loud as 100, but you got the right idea. Tubes are drastically louder than solid state amps. When you shop amps just be sure to check out where it peaks in decibels. I had the same dilemma for a while.

  • Now that you have youtube you can say what ever you never had the balls to say to anyone offline. BTW this is what your gf was saying to her friends about you when you weren't there to witness it. LOL

  • Nothing major about his playing, really... I think it's more about his attitude and that may have transposed into his playing style as well. I guess some guys have that natural charm and some guys don't.

A scene about a commercial from Kate and Leopold springs to mind, but if the guy would become more at ease with himself I'm sure we would change our ideas about him.

  • can you put an 412 cab to the head amp?

  • this guys not getting his dick sucked , but he's acting like he is

  • Cant understand your critics. This is about the music device. He only tries to serve many different tastes out there. If you go for good lookingguys instead of amp presentations go to the Backstreet Boys homepage and let real musicians their playground.

  • @cyreander Well said. And if any of the critics think they can play even half as well as this guy,in as many different genres of music, then please post up so you can enlighten us all w your review.

  • yea, cuz im gunna get hired to play a gig when i audition with a 4 watt amp, i wud get laughed at sooooo hard

  • @klocke Why's that? Just cuz his style?

  • that face at 2:35. Oh yeah.

  • DeMarco Kicks serious ass!!

  • I don't hate this guy's playing, just his cheesy way of talking. His fingerpicking stuff is actually pretty cool.

  • OMG if u dont laugh when he shakes at the same speed as the slide u must be dead

  • this guy really need a hair cut

  • Would this be giggable?

  • @Trippedfellanddied I own one and yes if you have a hard-hitting drummer that is tryin to break the snare than you will need to mic it, (lol) or put a cab underneath but jus elevating it makes the sound project greaaaat! Plenty for band practice and clubs.

  • @Trippedfellanddied definately =) i´ve owned the combo, and now im looking into buying the cab/head.. you get a lot more out of the 12" speaker, just mike it up on the gig, and youre good to go!

  • imagine growing up in the dimarco household.......gwaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrr...!

  • Oh yes mister...that 10 on the amp really sounds great. Even with that ugly BUZZ!!! Genius Guitar player...

How can a guitar player make an amp sound so bad?

  • @thehornypuppy this guy is a great player idk y every1 talks crapp on him?! N this amp sounds siiick in real life. Its hard to make ne amp sound good on these vids unless they are bass heavy amps or hi gain. a/b'd with the fender super champ xd, marshall class 5, epi valve jr and bugera v5, it blows them all away (unless u want that fender clean obviously). The marshall is too muddy for one.

  • @masharms13 The Fender VibroChamp XD is THE amp for practice and home studios. You don't need to crank it up all the way to make is sound good. Why is it so hard to mix audio from and amp and from the voice in this kind of videos? One thing i'm sick of is reviews talking about "CLASSIC" "VINTAGE" "TONE" and "MODERN"...it's all bullshits...and this guy playing YES...it's awful...

  • @thehornypuppy its all preferance man. The vibrochamp has more options im just into simplicity. And it just seems like these vids sound worse with most smaller/med sized amps. and no homeboy jams on the guitar.

  • i HIGHLY reccomend putting in a 12at7 tube in if you play clean, cause it goes to distortion really early. dont get me wrong, it sounds PHENOMENAL!! but it does need a bit of modding for your personal taiste, mine is beatles music, and it was easilly tweaked for that ac30 sound, hope this helps guys!

  • his hair...

  • Thats where the Greatest American Hero guy went!?!?! He works for Vox!

  • @Ramones1234100 well he's Johnny DeMarco's (from Boss US) brother.

  • that dude is so cool!

  • This guy looks like a buff'd up Johnny Demarco!

  • @MitchRulzWorld he's his brother

  • @Ramones1234100 Why??? he's a anoying fucker for sure but he can play no doubt.

  • Are these still made in england?

  • @2:37 : lololololollpolololo

  • Beautifull Amp!

Just Wondering Is it Worth Upgrading from my Vox Da5 (Small 5 Watt Practice Amp)

Or Will The Quality Be The Same

(besides the additional speaker of this new amp)

  • this guy really sounds like owen wilson lmao

  • does the stack give more volume than the combo?

  • @reaLJustiFied yes obv

  • @Miteour17 Why's it louder? same speaker

  • @Noseheros there's head to get more volume

its like putting to cd players togther and playing the same song at the same time its going to make it louder but u need to mic this amp at gigs

  • Should've gotten this amp...together with its cabinet...man :(

  • why would you take a low watt amp to a gig?

  • @TheEthanhausler Because you are most likely going to mic the thing up anyway.

  • @TheEthanhausler small gig?

  • @Miteour17 still like to be loud....

  • @TheEthanhausler u'd need to use a mic but for a large venue no its not loud enough get the night train by vox there a little more but theres more u get with it

  • @Miteour17

You can still hook the AC4TV up to a small cab and it's plenty load for a gig!

  • his name's Freddy Demarco.

Johnny Demarco's brother. And it's not a joke. Check the demo video list on Vox's website.

  • Don't know which one to buy, the combo or the head and cab

  • @UlisesBerrueco head an cab cuz then u can use any cab or any head combo

  • @UlisesBerrueco The Head and cab sound is bigger and better...

  • Am I the only one that likes this guy?

  • @TheHornet79 yeah:P

  • @TheHornet79 I think so :P

  • i have this amp, it's quite good sounding.

  • i think he plays pretty damn well you guys are fucked

  • he`s not a very good player..also his review always sound bad and dirty...(no wonder with just one mic )

but the review is pretty ok

I wouldn´t buy this amp if I just heard it on this vid...

therefor I had to watch the review from georgesMusic

  • @Ramones1234100 haha me too! it wouldnt hurt to play some simple power chords

  • @Ramones1234100 it would be nice to have a reviewer who lays down chord progressions so we can hear the tone.

  • fuck you Johnny demarco your so awesome, but i hate everything about you, especially that pesky voice

  • stop playing country

  • Can you plug this amp into a regular speaker to make it louder? I just didn't know because I have seen stuff like that online and didn't know if they were using their speaker or the amp was off to the side.

  • @FrosredZiggy yes you can plug it into a 4x12 and just turn the volume all the way up

  • is the cabinet tube?

  • @shoekstra1419 the tubes are in the amp, not the cabinet. The cab just houses a speaker

  • The cabinet just has a speaker in it. The head is where the electronics (and tubes) are...

  • Is the AC4TV a tube?

  • Yes an all tube amp

  • @joeypaint yes it is a tube amp. thats why it sounds great

  • love the amp, hate the guy

no seriously this dude is such a prick

  • @curdisszero - why do say this about the guy?

Seems alright, to me...just doing his thing.

  • @curdisszero Is that Johnny DeMarco from BOSS?

  • @zabimaru1000 no its his brother freddy demarco

  • @YerAnnoyingNeighbors I gotta say... that looks incredibly like him, and even sounds like him and acts like him too.

  • @zabimaru1000 johnnys larger and a little bit more "crazy"

  • Bought this Amp today dont expect a wimpy amp this is one loud crunchy amp ,even on the lowest setting it is super loud , Love it though.

  • @mandanna09 How loud may i ask o have an ac15 but now that i have child thinking of geting one of these hope its still pretty loud though.

  • i have a vox valve tronix solid state 15 watt amp as well i love it too .The AC 4 tv is everybit as loud .I play a Fender Strat through it and usually on the four watt setting I turn the amp volume to Maximum and the guitar volume to Two any louder and my wife freaks. It is not as versatile as the Valvetronix but it has a great tone.Peace

  • @mandanna09 Thanks man. I hear ya i hate hearing turn it down.lol plus i can buy more pedals cause this thing is cheap.peace

  • wow you just look, play and talk like your brother! are you twins?

  • combo or head & cab? I can't decide !

  • what do you need it for?

recording ,practice, small rehearsal, audition... then combo

either AC4TV or AC4TV8 ( which is the one I've got for it's wider range)

for jam and small gigs you need a cab anyway, so the combo has the out put for it too.might as well get the combo and have your sound everywhere you go.

  • @erandolapedorra don't buy the cab, get an epi valve junior 112 or something other than the cheap particle board cab that "goes" with this head. ive got the ac4tvh and it sounds awesome with my epi valve junior cab. plus its cheaper and all birch plywood.

  • does it cost $199 just for the head or for both the head and the cab?

  • Now, the head is $199 and the cabinet is $170. The combo is $250 but if you get the combo and the cabinet you're spending more but getting more options, like the ability to just pick up the combo and play somewhere else, not having to lug around a head and cabinet if you don't need to.

  • 180 for combo

    but 190 for head only

  • i love the tone it has with the satchurator. i own a satchurator but it sounds crap on my solid state fender! im buying this amp asap!!!!

  • Pretty nice Sovtek tubes(1x12ax7, 1xEL84) -Any brand-suggestions swapping for the better?

  • they say JJs are better, it make it clearer but louder too, . that's the reason I didn't touch a thing on it.

  • Comment removed

  • the riff with the stomboxes sounded very satch-like my compliments

  • Probably because one of the stompboxes is a Satriani Vox Saturator distortion pedal. That isn'tthe exact name but i know he's using a satriani signature made pedal lol.

  • Is this guy related to Larry and Johnny Demarco?

  • @Ilovemyfender2 - yeah. He loks and sounds like Johnny ey??

  • i am wondering if this mini stack (AC4TV and the V112TV extension cab) it's loud enough for rehearsals?? anyone knows??

  • yes. i brought it out to play with a very powerful drummer the other day, and it was clear and present and... the drummer said the tone was awesome, too. so... this amp is amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • okay buddy calm yourself down first of all and stop cursing me out because i made a comment on youtube where you are free to express whatever you wouldlike to say. i never said this guy cant play, and actually i think hes the best demo guy for gear, hes incredible. and secondly i never said i was that good, because im not. just a comment. i was just saying he makes stupid faces when he plays, so what.

  • doubt it

  • I want to either buy the night train or the ac4. Do both amps sound very similar tone wise? Also, is the ac4 loud enough to...for example, annoy the neighbors if i lived in an apartment. I was wondering if i needed the 15 watts....So is the night train worth it?

  • It's called getting into it, asshole.

  • how the hell can u play live er even jam with it,,, mic it? now u gota geta mic and pa to jam

  • @FingerLickinGravy67 4 watts with a 2/12 or 4/12 will play louder then a drummer ...

  • you can use it live, but its gotta be mic'ed, and you aren't going to have a clean sound for anything. Youre gonna need at 20 watts or at least something with dual channels to do that.
