WHat workout are you talking about here? Mainly after a pre heavy weight lifting work out your main source of nutrition should mos def come from proteine, but also carbo as you say. When doing cardio or aerobics I would agree, but specify plz!
good info, best thing i can think of directly after a workout is a recovery drink like Insu-Pro by empyrean. i've been doing p90x and this helps immensely with blasting the nutrients into your muscles as well as next day soreness. yuri, you look like you have very very little body fat, great job!

Hey Yuri, since I'm new to all this, I've been told to eat simple carbs WITH protein. I try and eat an apple or banana WITH a whey protein drink that also has carbs in it as well. I use the GNC Wheybolic Extreme 60, though, I only use 2 scoops instead of 3 (40 grams of protein) since I've been told there's only so much protein your body can absorb at one time and it discards the rest. Any thoughts on this? =)
@New2Fitness I don't think you the supplements are necessary. If you want to have protein with your fruit then try a almond or organic peanut butter. Or nuts and seeds.
