All of you naysayers here are so full of shit, if you were on the friggin' moon, people could smell you here on Earth. This man's playing is top notch, he's doing a great job, more than I could say if I TRIED IT. He's getting a unique sound too, and that's a good thing. And above all, he loves Johnny Winter. More power to him!
Damm, once you got goin',you tore that up! 1:51 , , , Holy Sheddin' Sheepdogs! Wow . . They say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery. I bet Johnny would blush.
Basically you get the song but you still have to master Johnny's solos. I see and hear you playing your own thing during the solo parts and not at all what Johnny is doing.
What part of: "Been a while since I played this so just enjoying jamming with a guitar hero from way back" do you not understand? "Jamming" is playing your own thing during the solo parts and what music is truly all about.
@caberius yeah man well said this guy obviously doesnt play guitar jimi hendrix didnt play one of his songs the exact same,.... think about that for a second
Johnny couldnt play it twice the same way if he wanted to either. And honestly, who would want to cop a solo like that note for note? Few solos are worthy of that kind of effort or even that important. Johnny has always been a jammer. The important and hard part here is getting the chords and changes down, which he did, well. Check out Carolyn Wonderland's versions of this tune, her band does it best IMHO.
You're insulting one of the world's finest blues guitarists and talking shit. The chords of this tune are the easier part, connecting them and filling the gaps -in tempo- is what makes this version extremely difficult to play, that's why caberius calls his version 'jamming with a guitar hero'. If all guitarists think the way you do we'd be ending up just hitting plain E strings and call it music.
You are AWESOME!! I've seen JW many, many times and he does it no better than you. How about teaching us this song? Thanks man. Really great. Took me back 30 years.
Decent Caberius! Easy to copy anyone! However, knowing you can emulate other people I would love to hear Caberius! Originals!!! They fkng rip to be sure I bet! Please do all originals! A fan
