In the Constitution a Nation cannot be brought into the Union.

1) Texas is among the small portion of states that hasn't been utterly decimated by the recession, unlike California having to hand out I.O.U's since they are severly in debt. That says something about Texas' economic strength.

Texas is the only state that can leave the union. It was an independant Republic when statehood was granted...no other state was, they were territories. Any other state seriously threatning to leave the union would immediately be invaded and occupied by the Yankee military again to be kept in line.
