  • Can you, please, give me the tabs ? Please.

  • TABS? o.o please ..

  • JP 100% :)

  • @chimpo74

    Bach...always recognizable music...great music. "I love it".

    --Van

  • can you give me the tabs pls... thx.. of cannon rock in d

  • @nasaiah20

I don't have the tabs but look for a ""tutorial" of this song I will be doing within the next few days. Thank you.

    --vaqn

  • i really like this, i especially like the mistakes. I dont think people understand music completely until they learn to appreciate people trying but making mistakes

  • @digsydave69

Yes the "mistakes" kind of makes it my own. "I love this song" mistakes and all. I'm re-working this one (this one is 3 years old). I may even do an easy "tutorial" (chord version) of this song for the holidays...look for it in the next few days.

    --Van

  • i thought this was joe satch before i went onto this page and noe i know it is satch cas his playing is top notch

  • @AlexM1175 \

Yes "Satch", great player...I have a lot of catching up to do. Thanks for watching.

    --van

  • It is so relaxing.

  • I like voice of your guitar. it is very deep and colorfull.

    what this guitar is?

  • @DelkaSable

A "Garcia" guitar, it does indeed have a deep rich tone, althought the "action" on it is not as good as my Takamine guitar. I may be working on this one again...stay tuned. Thanks.

  • I'm 15 and I'm Better than you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @abuevachristian12

    that's great. Thanks.

    --Van

  • any tips how I can start to play as good as you?

  • @jellofast

A couple of lessons from a good guitar teacher to put you on the right track and always use a metronome and ask lots of questions. Good luck and Thanks.

  • LOOOOOOL

  • @Owz600 thought this was satch ha ;)

  • @Owz600

    Yes "satch" is great. thanks.

  • long time did't play it huh? I LOVE THAT SONG TOO !~

  • The guitar is not tuned!

  • Very nice!

  • beautiful

  • Thanks.

    --Van

  • your guitar suck !!

  • Nice! I love this tune!

  • dont listen to some online wannabees who sends you to wait 10 years. I uploaded a video in which i play that version of Jason also, and I know that its not as simple as it sounds and it DOES require alot of practicing, especially if you want to memorize it like you and I did.

you did a great job and its really awesome!

  • Thank you--yes there is some "practice" involved...and then some--ha ha

    --van

  • Put sunglasses and you're our new satriani ;)

    great play !!

  • Been told that before--ha ha

  • Is it Valencia (model)?

  • Garcia.

  • Sounds great, but, time for a new guitar? Seems you have outgrown that one.

  • great job,

the best acoustics ive ever heard

  • Thanks my friend. It's okay but I think I can do better--- Wow over 56,000 views--even I'm impressed.

    --Van

  • Beautiful, I am a 16 year old man trying this song out, i have been playing guitar for almost two years and i have this song almost memorized. well played, nice guitar good rhythm and sound.

  • I'd love to hear it when your ready--please send it. thanks for the good words.

    --Van

  • Men could you send me the pertiture of the song, please? I cant found it anywhere. Ill be apriciated that

  • Great job! i can't seem to find the tabs for the arrangement. it's the best so far for classical

    to me

  • Please buy the book Jason Waldron"s "Fingerpicking the Classics" vol 1 and 2, comes with CDs. You won't regret it. And Thanks.

    --Van

  • Good job man, you played it very well with few flaws. But it still sounds good.

  • Agreed, a few flaws but still good. I will give this another attempt sometime.

    Thanks.

    --Van

  • I know classical is hard to play I tried fur elise and it was hard. It was also nice to see someone put emotion into there playing it shows that you enjoy playing. Well done.

  • Good job.

And good for you for posting it, warts and all. So it isn't perfect, it's still a damn sight better than I or, probably, most of the people posting negative comments could do and I'd say it looks very far from simple.

You don't happen to have a link to the tab do you?

  • thanks bro.. i wanna learn this canon.. but it's too hard.

  • i like that song since i was a child and you did it pretty well

  • wait ten years bfore you try to play clasical

  • Ha Ha--If I waited 10 years nothing would get posted. Plus the point of playing is to have FUN. And I had fun playing it, "I love that song"--so sorry if you did not have fun listening to it. Thanks.

  • hahaha! me too, i love that song

  • Thank you my friend..

    --Van

  • true dedoyzki

  • simple ..

  • Hardly..."simple". Believe it or not, it took much practice. I had fun learning it. Thanks for watching.

    Regards,

    --Van

  • yah right.. too hard... too much practice and focus to it. but it's nice and good to heard. loved it.

  • Wey no pistees si vas a tcar se oye gacho jajaja

  • It's not the best in the world but I enjoyed it :)

  • yo, at least, hairsdtyle fits, add alien-type-sunglasses and work as a double!

  • Good idea (putting on some alien shades) for one of my upcoming videos.

    --Van

  • lol, i thought it's joe satriani video playing acoustic..

    you look like him sir..:D

  • I mentioned your comment to my friend Ed and he agreed . He said, "Come to think of it, you do look like Joe Satriani". Maybe I sould send Joe Satriani this video--ha ha. Thanks for watching and your comment.

    --Van

  • awful... pfff

  • hmm you play rarely heh?

  • ......ahhh you can't shift between cords good.

  • holly shit!!! sick man!

  • very nice this version of canon! =)

  • It's pretty good not the best

It's kinda sad cuz for classical guitar, it sounds easy but rly hard. So my friend will tell me "wow that's easy u can easily play that" and of course, I can't play. It's actually harder than those fast solos

  • hey do you have the sheet music to this?

  • dude awesome, im only 16 but i dream of playing this for my daughters wedding someday im really trying hard to learn it right now i have a fender acoustic and a cort acoustic they dont sound great but they work but i really like playin my brothers martin will u plz give me the tabs i will really appreciate it

  • Lmao that was pretty good...

I can't play it on da guitar T.T

I made my own cover for da piano tho

and an accompaniment for da drums

  • It was "pretty good", but I think if I work at it some more, I could really "nail" it. Thanks for the good word. Oscar, put up your piano "cover", good or bad I think it would be fun. Send me a notice if you do. My friend Marty did a couple of piano intros on my "van1976" site -ck 'em out--I thought they were pretty good.

    --Van

  • Yeah, I've been planning to for a few weeks now,

but i need a good camera... which im still working on getting. Cool, I'll check em out

  • cannon in someone else's ear, i guess

  • u suck

  • Thanks "Comrade". I can't argue your point--I learned a long time ago not to reason with ignorance. BTW, comments of the like are usually from some untalented, non-guitar playing 14 year old kid from France--how old are you anyway? Thanks for watching (and your comment too), I appreciate it--I really do,

Side note: I was listening to "Black Sabbath" back in 1970 (my brother owned the album). I've seen them too.

    --Van

  • I forgot to mention "blacksabbathgnr098", I have (all the band members) SIGNED copy of Black Sabbath's "Reunion" CD too.

  • haha i was just kidding, you're pretty good. that's pretty sweet about the Reunion CD tho, i wish i had mine signed

  • like u can do better

  • i actually can

  • wonderful version of this beautiful song!

u was very well and is in my favorites!

get my compliments, greetings from Brazil!

continue in this way! brilliant work!

and their cries at the end XDDDD AMAZING!

  • Thank you and greetings from Boston, Massachusetts. My downstairs neighbors are from Brazil--small world.

    --Van

  • nice, very nice. I'm learning the song now, and using your vid for reference! :)

  • @THAIGERTROY Hope you are still learning/ have learned this song. I'm posting an easy Chord version of this song...good one to know for the hoiidays. If you have any questions, just ask. good luck.

    --Van

  • Very nice.. I'm sure by now you've almost got those "rough spots" perfected..

    But overall 5 stars!

  • Thanks. I kind of forgot how this song goes. I'll work on it again for 2009--it's "I love this song" kind of song.

    --Van

  • hmmm i would necerily do it on a steel string for a sharper sound but otherwise great playing

  • Thanks, a steel string has it's plus, smaller neck and minuses, smaller neck--ha ha. The "classical" guitar has a deeper bass sound, which I like--I'll try this one again sometime.

    --Van

  • pretty bad? a bit slow? it is what it is a great masterpiece beauty is in the eye of the beholder

  • Thanks for commenting on my video. It is a "masterpiece"--the song, not my playing--ha ha. But "I Love the Song".

    --Van

  • maybe a bit slow, but im sure pachelbel intended it to be that way, nice job =p

  • Thanks for watching. Happy New Year!

    --Van

  • Very, very nice performance... Recommended to me by another guitar friend.. Shall we ever be that good?? - Marcus1661

  • "Thanks", and tell your friend "Thanks" too--Happy New Year!

    --Van

  • very beatiful version and good playing

  • SHINY HEAD!!!!

    Great playing

    5 stars!!

  • Grass never grows on busy streets.

  • *giggles* It does on my sidewalk...

  • ROFLMAO *****

  • ugh. so sweet

  • i love this!

  • any tabs

  • That was pretty bad but better that I'd do.

  • lol I love how you said "I love that song" at the end. So do I.

    That was amazing guitar playing!

  • nice work=)

  • That's great! Subcribed! Do you mind checking out my version of this song? I am new on youtube. Thanks!

  • The codes combintaiton is good(left hand), especially bass. But your right hand need to play it more naturally. Your right hand moves too much, which can slow down your right hand. You can practice fingerstyle arpegios My version is not yet good. :)

  • Thank you for your comment and observation. I appreciate it.

    --Van

  • not bad, however do you realise that this little shunga chupa chup jung plays it better than anyone???

  • so what!? this guy rocks anyways...

  • did i say that he doesnt? you're off the point

  • did i say that he doesn't? you're off the point

  • nice song man ^^ love it

  • Thanks. "Not perfect", but I like just the same, too. Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it.

    --Van

  • change with bone headfret, and why so many chains on the back?...this guitar is strange

  • ???? Hey, thanks for watching and commenting.

    Regards,

    --Van

  • would you have any idea where to get the tabs because3 i have searched every where and i can not find them any where!!! its like there hiding -.-

  • :| well dont use a pick it will sound better

  • very melodic!!!! i love it!!!

but i guess some notes sounded a bit off....

  • Thanks "mallick". I agree there were a couple notes that were "off". It's not a 5 star job but definitely a 4 star. (BTW, I am my own biggest critic). I've been meaning to re-do this one, it's one of my favorite songs of all time. Good of you to comment.

    --Van

  • you really good guy

    :D

  • I liked your performance because as I see mostly you play for yourselves and you enjoy it - as also I do myself at home.

I think I'll try to learn this piece

    Best regards: Robert

  • Thanks "Robi", I just listened to it again and I need to get the book out and re-learn it myself, ... I forgot how it goes--ha ha.

"Try to learn this piece" (your words), Waldron-Classical Guitar vol 2, give it a try, you can do it, (my words). It's a tough one, but a little at a time. Good luck.

    --Van

  • should have set your guitar in tune before playing ;-)

  • Thanks for watching and your comment too, but seriously, "Paa-leeze"! (show me the way)! No videos of your own I see. 'Nuff said.

  • nice, your really good, and by the way nice hair doo (haha shiny) xp

  • Thank you.

  • Guitar Skills 4.5 stars.

    Video Editing 2.5 stars.

    Net Score: 3.5.

I rounded up to a four because that song is very hard. There's a really nice sweep around 1:10-1:19 that I liked. Recommend editing the video so we don't see you go sit down at the beginning, just starting to play.

  • Thanks. I do, rather like this song (haven't played it in awhile). I think it's a 4 star

too--given the difficulty. A lot of other good versions out there also. Thanks for ths "score". Very fair.

    --Van

  • Ooh!! Good job!!!

  • very good,

  • Nicely done, like you said at the end, it's true that you seem to like it and that's what it takes! I'm a classical guitar player myself, and I think you play the tune pretty good and like the other guy said, it's true that you deserve a better guitar :P

  • i like this one.

  • Thanks. (It's from Jason Waldron's "Fingerpicking Classics" vol 2 book)

    --Van

  • Nice!

would sound better on a better guitar though

    Still great though

  • Thanks. Good ear, the guitar I used is an inexpensive ($300 used) "Garcia". It's okay, but I could use an upgrade. I have a Takamine cut away classical guitar, I may try this tune again on that guitar. (Needs a little smoothing out anyway). Thanks for listening and your comment too.

    --Van

  • wow thts really amazing!

my cousin's having a wedding next summer and i want to play her tht song when she gets married! do you think i'll learn it in time? and once again awesome job!

  • Thanks. It's from Jason Waldron's "Fingerpicking Classics" vol 2 book--song #20. The book is worth getting--comes with CD. If the wedding is this summer start practicing now. Good Luck and have fun at the wedding.

  • nice job i love it! can you give me the tabs?

  • Thanks. It's from Jason Waldron's "Fingerpicking Classics" vol 2 book--song #20. This book is worth getting--comes with CD.

  • can you gimme the tabs?

  • In case I didn't respond to you earlier, Thanks. (It's from Jason Waldron's "Fingerpicking Classics" vol 2 book--song #20)

  • freakin beutiful thanks man

  • Thanks! You are very kind.

    --Van

  • I love that song too. Good job.

  • Hey, Thanks man! Side note to "Cadwaladr": You do great woodworking! Being less than 10 miles from Concord, MA I've been to Walden Pond many many times and stood in Thoreau's original cabin foundation--it is quite small. Great place to visit, although the it's changed a bit since I was a teenager-30 years ago--much nicer then!

    --Van

  • Well done it was great !!

  • Thanks.

  • not bad! :)

  • It's the end of the year--didn't want to forget to say THANKS!

    --Van

  • bravissimo

  • Oh Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    --Van

  • grande chitarrista uno dei migliori!!!

  • Danke, merci becoup, domo arigato, gracias, Thank you.

    --Van

  • beer bottle on bottom left screen, he's playing drunk, but sounds nice

  • very good. nice playin

  • very beautyfull done, please look my version watch?v=_9X7pjipvh8 ^^

  • Sounds really good

  • i need the tabs please i love it

  • Thanks. Tabs: Jason Waldron's "Fingerpicking the Classics" Volume 2 (last-song--#20) from Koala publications. It will take some work. I learned it "one part" at a time and then played it over and over and over again over several months. Also it is in a drop "D" (6th string in "D") tuning. Good Luck.

    --Van

P.S. The last 2 chords (D-chord shape) @13th and 14th fret were my own additions.

  • Bravo!

  • Bravo, Van!

  • Bravo sir! I tried to learn this tune once but didn't have the patience at the time. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

  • it makes it a little easier if you play it in C instead of D, and the easier it is to play, the more you can do with it(if you see what i mean).

    try it in C..... C G Am Em F C F G (melody = C major Scale)

  • I'll give "Canon" a try in "C", my friend plays it that way too. Yes "C" would be easier but the song is Canon in "D", plus the transcription I have (Jason Waldron) is in "D". So I go with what I have. I plan on posting this song again, less some of the "rough" spots. Thanks for the "C" Chord sequence.

  • why don't you use a capo?? place it in the second fret, then you can play it in a C there but the tune is in D.. you get what i mean??
