True, I wonder, why do you think Scriabin titled this piece "Poeme Tragique?" I definitely sense pathos and struggle in this piece but I don't see it as being tragic. I actually see it as a piece about resiliency in the face of turmoil. Ultimately, it leaves me feeling inspired.
Sofronitsky eat your heart out:) Truecrypt, with this and many of your other recordings it is necessary to raise the volume on one's system. Clearly you are recording at a lesser gain than we hear in your uploads of the well-known Russian (and other) pianists. That puts you damn close to being Sofronitsky.
bravo! inspired by this and sofronitzky's recordings im trying to learn this piece. just wondering how you play the right hand arpeggios on the 2nd last page - i currently take the bottom note with the left hand but not sure if this will work at speed, thanks!
Wonderful playing ! I listened a bit of your recordings, and all have this quality, you have this quality, amongst many others, of playing with your ears, your heart first, and then with your fingers. (Unlike many famous young pianists nowadays) Your sound is not at all tense, nervous, but rich, mellow and singing. How old are you ? You have a strong taste.
Fantastic interpretation... played with the heart and spirit of the great Maestros of an era now past sadly enough... you truly inspired me... my deep awe and sincerest thanks... (next time a better piano and a recording and you would EASILY rival the very best recordings out there of this piece)
Great work! I'm hearing this piece for the first time and it is wonderful, Scriabin's sonorities are unbeatable and you really bring them out... lots of color.
It's interesting how you capture joy and ecstasy from a piece called Poeme Tragique! I like how you accelerate the ribattuti chords when there is no theme above them.. that's very Scriabin! Your interpretation is phenomenal to say the least and please forgive me if I prefer it to God-Sofronitzky's!
Incredible that you belong to this epoch, which in my opinion is devoid of spirit.
the only thing I can criticize about your recordings is the recording itself. I would have liked to hear a piano with more fundamental tone and a rounder attack (too metallic). I think it's a shame because it would bring-out even more of your playing.. in my opinion
I LOVE this playing! Captures every bit of the wildness and passion of Scriabin with all the still slightly pent up incredible daring that was to come. Congratulations!! Real artist!
...also, since Sofronitsky is right there in the sidebar I couldn't resist going back and forth a couple of times. I much prefer Mr. Truecrypt to Mr. Sofronitsky on this piece. Too bad you weren't able to give him some suggestions...;)
Truecrypt, this is just TOP RATE in every manner. Really superb. I may have to start risking my soul and visiting the odd chapel here and there, in hopes of happening upon something like this :)
Bravo! And thanks for much for these latests posts....it gets better and better!
Fantastic :) Big grin when I saw you uploaded a video :) Im bad at explaining how I feel so ill just say I loved it :) I hope to hear more of your playing soon
Truecrypt, when was it recorded? It's difficult to put into words my feelings while listening to it. Well, to start, it's one of my favorite pieces by Scriabin. And i just love the freedom you take in the tempo: not too much but just enough freedom to make the drama come out. For me, it's PERFECT! Wish i could play it like you do! I believe you are a pro, disguised... hahaha. Congratulations!
I think that this is Richter under a pseudonym.

I completely agree with you! This piece is rather *catharsis* than "ordinary tragedy".
Cleansing fire - everything starts and ends with it!

I find the same joy in expression as I can find in Sofornitzkys interpretations....
on a background of perfect technique and understanding of structure.

Sorry, for the misspelling , maybe because the more tender aspects of Scriabins music sometimes do suggest me the italian word "beatidudine".

Very good Truecrypt! Very controlled playing, but still with a Scriabinesque feel to it! Are you, like trms83br said, a pro? Reveal yourself! :)

It was recorded on Jan. 26th (5 days ago) in a little Chapel... I played 4 times and 3 out of 4 were really lousy!
