I bought a navman s50i last week and I'm absolutely regretting it. I too wasted 2 hours trying to configure the bluetooth to my phone and gave up. The only thing I like is the large screen :(
If you need help with you Navman try calling them on the phone. I wasted 2 hours and gave up. If you watch the the video you can see how bad the touch screen really is, The letter w is press ,but the navman says R. LOL
The pictures are a good idea, it's just a shame the unit is second rate and very overpriced. Found the Garmin GPS units much better in all areas.
Speech to Text did not work, and some touch buttons needed to be pressed over and over again to work, it was real pain to use. Please remember some people are paid to say good things about this unit
Some people might be, MrSuperFatCat. I'm not one of them.
I hope Navman took your comments on board. I did not have those issues, but it's good for people looking for information to read different perspectives.
I now have bought navman S90i. What a big mistake.1: There is no charger for mains power with this unit.2:When the USB connection is used from your computer to charge the GPS S90i,the screen on the s90i is inactive,so no changes can be made.3: Software supplied just did not want to work on windows XP.4 Navigation is very slow, found much better units at half the price; it even sent me down a dead end street and request I drive through some ones house, this is with the latest maps installed.
this unit is realy "" buggy""2
the camera/navpix feature wont work for long
the bluetooth is real hard to connect to your phone
you may have to press the same thing again and again before it works or takes you to were you want to be in the menu options
good ideas that dont work are no good to anyone
good ideas that reliably work are great.
this navman gets 3 stars out of a maximum of 5.
navman need to work on the reliability for a higher rating.

Does anyone know if the s50 has a multimedia player where videos stored on the SD card can be seen?
