If abortion would have never become legal there's a 90%+ chance I would have grown up in an orphanage. Well, I never knew that Roe vs Wade created a surplus of adoption interest; why is that? Many women that get abortions would be great mothers, not that it's easy, but there is tons of help available. I personally know 4 friends /family close enough to me to admit they had abortions. All regret it and would never have another. One resented me because she wished she had made my choice.

I have a beautiful child out of wedlock. I had a choice. I made a the hardest, yet simplest and most rewarding choice. It is EXTREMELY hard because you are setting aside YOUR LIFE PLAN for a new life plan that changes everything with a baby. Doctor's will tell you the most important term in pregnancy is the first twelve weeks of life when the baby's brain development is formed. Christians have been clinging to the Republican party because of this one issue. Since Roe vs. Wade, 5 of 7 Presidents have been pro-life Republicans and haven't outlawed it yet. If Giuliani is nominated next year, christians need to abandon ship and support Democrats who support Jesus' teachings more on every other moral issue.

There is no debate on abortion. The facts are as follows. Abortion goes against the rights of life and liberty as guaranteed to us by the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. The murdering scum that run this planet REVEL in destroying good and purity. Margaret Sanger (founder of Planned Parenthood) was given awards by Hitler and also wrote in her own papers what her real goals were. Everyone should look up Bohemian Grove. It will give you an idea why they love abortion.

philipmontag: I don't really have a problem with EC but let me make this very clear. Bush isn't pro-life and he isn't a Christian. They planned all this. They put him in, he gets hated, he gives Conservatism a bad name, then an anti-gun, anti-freedom, pro-abortion Democrat like Hillary is elected.

I agree, I think EC actually prevents abortions. I'm a Democrat and a christian and I think there's definately something very wrong with partial-birth abortions. The first trimester is the only time it should even be considered legal, even then it's a small tradgedy.

Huge tragedy for the fetus! I never realized how torturous abortion is until recently. Have you ever read up on what a medical abortion entails for an instance. The pill they give you cuts off the hormone progestagen which sends a signal from the mother to stop feeding the baby. The two days they send you home is when the baby is literally slowly starving to death.

Many abortionists have stated that they believe babies can feel pain as early as eight to twelve weeks because the react to being poked for an instance. Doctor's will tell you the most important term in pregnancy is the first twelve weeks of life when the baby's brain development is formed. If this is the most precautionary phase of a baby's development-even for our own human life, then why is the first 3 months of life viewed as insignificant??? EVEN IN THE FIRST TERM, IT'S STILL WRONG.

Abortion is a choice, just like sex. If you choose to have sex and you get pregnant, then you should have to pay for an abortion. Having to pay for abortions is an incentive to be careful next time you have sex. I am for abortion, but public funds should never be used to pay for abortion.

A right is something inherent and does not -EVER- impose a cost on someone else. That's why there's no such thing as a "right to healthcare"

A right is an inherent prerogative to be left alone when doing certain things. That means that I can prevent someone from interfering, but doesn't mean I can force them to act in a way that makes the exercise of my rights easier
I have the right to bear arms, but not to be given a gun. If I am too poor to buy a gun, this doesn't mean my right to bear arms is being violated.

The real problem isn't about abortion; its about men and women accepting the consequences of having sex. If a particular culture we to not allow birth control, say catholicism, it then makes the idea of abortion allowable. If the point of abortion is to allow women to choose, then every baby would have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
