What most people don't know about First Blood is that it's based on a book, a book much better and much darker than the film. I love the movie but it seriously underwent the Hollywood treatment when you compare it to the novel.

i understand why BFX was canceled, the show, despite it's success, was loosing steam. this was (and i'm just guessing) probably due to a lack of new and inovative ideas that had not yet been touched upon by the show. it also may be due to the fact that the creators wanted to move on in their careers, and do what they had been showing us how to do for years and that's make movies. thumbs up if you agree.
