  • fantastic performance :)

  • Better than Perlman himself!

  • Que hermosa interpretación.

  • Oh my gosh! This interpretation is simply amaaaaazzzzzing. At last! I found you. Who is the musical director? This is exactly I was always hearing in my mind. Pearlman's interpretation is nothing compared to this! Where can we get the full CD??? Great violinist but also quite an amazing maestro. Bravo!

  • John Williams is just brilliant!

  • I know that it is highly unlikely that you have anything to offer when you are in hate about the Jews. When you live in that state of lack of grace, you have very little, if anything, to offer this world.

  • Yeah, you don't want to talk to him anymore because his mind is far to sharp for yours. You have no chance.

So, you did the smart thing. You threw in the towel. At least you know when your brain is inferior. Good boy!

  • "Peace to ya. Oh yeah, I still don't like jews!! lol"

Wow yeah, you really mean for peace, hey? Shit stirrer. Who cares what you do or don't like, huh? You are nothing. An absolute nothing. Zero, zip, ziltch..nothing to offer the world but hatred. You offer nothing.

  • passionate and eloquent violin playing leaves this viewer wanting to see more than a minute's worth of Julia Sakharova!

  • such a great expression...better than Itzak entry on the same title...

  • very good sound!

  • John Williams! A God fearing man of humility and absolute musical genius! Julia"s performance astounding!

  • Many Russians and others were killed in those same camps, whether Jewish or not. This argument is ridiculous. I lost relative/ancestors during that time in some of those camps. Bloodline gone forever for them. They would barely be holding on to life at this time, at their age...but I'd bet they would have wished they could have. I applaud anyone, no matter their background, who can play this music with feeling, they do not have to be Jewish or Russian or German. JMO

  • I honestly don't care who or what you like or dislike. You obviously can't articulate why you like or dislike something, which probably means you cannot even sort it out in your own head. So you are motivated more by feeling and sentiment than by logical, rational thought. You really aren't worth talking to anymore since you can't make a point.

  • Yup -- I thought so. It is best to think before speaking/writing. Peace.

  • People move between identities all the time -- identities are actually fairly flexible unless someone is trying to make a point and adopts some rigid nationalist position: Russian nationalism, Zionism, Nazism, Phoenicianism (in Lebanon), et al. But that is really so self-conscious and artificial and does not say much about who people really are, just what they think they want to be.

I don't understand your point, really.

  • What distinctive features are we talking about? Yes, there are different cultures/religions. Yes, there are gene pools. But so what? I've met so many Russians I thought were Jewish and they weren't. What do you mean by Jewish? Do you refer to an identification with the Jewish faith? Or to some ethnic idea of being Jewish? And anyway, who cares? Why does it bother you that a Russian should play a "Jewish" song (composed by a man with the non-Jewish name of "Williams," no less)?

  • I'm afraid I do not understand your point. Many Russians are Jews. Many Jews are Russians. People can't live together for so long without sharing culture and genetic material.

What do you mean by Jewish anyway? The religion? An ethnic group? Do you really believe, in the 21st century, that there is a "pure" gene pool? If there is, it must be from marrying cousins for centuries. Put these weird thoughts from your mind.

  • To Akyla0177
