  • Just to let you all know. My name is Annie Hughes, I am Mrs. T in this. This was also back in the day in high school. We did it twice, once when I was a soph and again when I was a sr. There was WAY too many kids in our program and we tried to make it all work. Yes, it's a HS production, and yes, we were off at times, but we packed houses of 600 ppl each night and had a blast. That is all that matters. The turntable we used was cranked by hand by some of our football players, who needed art cre

  • @ellishadow I happened to think you were great! I'm auditioning for Mme. T in my school production, only I'm having song choice troubles. I was just wondering if you could tell me what song you used to audition?

  • The one thing I've seen in this version that makes more sense than even some of the professional versions is that Monsieur Thenardier and Madam Thenardier do more pickpocketing while they're singing/talking about it. The only slight thing I saw that might be off is Madam Thenardier's accent. I know she doesn't have to be English for it to work, but it almost sounds like an accent that wouldn't have existed in the 1800s.

  • i think this is a fabulous version! a lot of high schools can't get away with this caliber of a musical but you guys did ^_^

Seriously though, its bad theatre etiquette to say "my school does it better" or "Our *insert character here* is better than your *insert character here*" if any of you plan on pursuing a theatre career in college... you might want to learn some manners.

  • You did a fantastic job! :D

  • I CAN'T GET OVER THE GUY IN THE BEGINNING!!!! <3

  • I just did this with a group of 9-19 year olds and it was SUCH an amazing experience, this group is REALLY amazing! Love the beginning btw!

  • Great!!!!!!!Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!Congratulations to the director!!!

  • This is very very good :D

  • Fun! You all look like your'e having a great time up there:-)

  • great job this is bettuh than bway! The Thernardiers r the bestest

  • THIS IS THE FUNNIEST VERSION I'VE EVER SEEN YET!!! and I'll admit, it's better than our's. (I just hope no one sees this or I'm dead on our next show)

  • This blocking is FANTASTIC. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

  • Hillarious!

  • this is greeaat!

  • this play is so STUNNING!!!

Ita brilliant work for HS... congrats...

  • Yay! finally a HS production with the perfect tempo and placement. Chris did a fantastic job...well done! i am spoiled by the tenth anniversary edition concert and the cockney rolling r's, and this is excellent. love it!

  • Wow,both Mme. Thernardier and Thernardier did an EXCELLENT job!

  • wasnt Thernardier a teaxher at nipomo?

  • funny

  • this was amazing.

  • awsome!

  • Good job! I loved the acting. Seemed more of like a fantacy story than the serious/more down to earth attitude of "Les Miserables". I think that even the comedic relief is still supposed to be more believable, and not so outrageous. I loved it though. It fit in with the rest of your school's production! I laughed a lot! You guys have extraordinary talent!

  • woah hes good!!!!!!!

  • The guy was amazing:)

  • this is amazaing! the end is amazing!!! i loved it.

  • i dont think its possible to do this song badly

i think that guy rocked and rolled

  • Frenchwoods?

  • Excellent production! I'm impressed at the quality of singing and acting talent here.

  • good version, they look drunk which works lol

  • its ok... not rly robinson's Master Of The House is better though

  • nicely done! i wore that exact costume just yesterday when i closed as thenardier

  • Your Thenardiers are great. Both of them, seriously.

Someone in the chorus is singing really loudly and trying to harmonize... Oh, dang.. It sounds bad.

  • Oh lol, Thénardier looks like a lady with that hair. The overacting is soooooo hilarious. Ouch my cheeks hurt.

  • wOW :d

  • Best High School Version I've seen, although the Chorus is a bit off-tune.

  • the courus souns a bit out of tune.

  • lol. this is funny. but the courus sounds a bit out of toon.

  • i played this in the marywood honors band

  • pity you didnt have more on stage.

  • it's hard to get alot on that stage, it's really really small. And if you put to many on it looks too crammed and its hard to move around at all

  • am doing it in my school! i hope our madame theariadier is that gd she brill!

  • speak up a bit lad

  • yet again amazin. this high school must hav a great eprforming arts dept.

  • Those two are excellent!

  • oh my god!

this is better than the one i saw on broadway.

  • no it is not !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i done this in the theatre last night (well a small scene) and i just loved it! it was a shortened version of course, since it was a mixture of musicals tied together - we're going to be doing the whole musical next year! CANT WAIT!

  • This is the best High School version of Les Mis I've ever seen, so much that it doesn't deserve the connotations of a "High School" production. Amazing work guys...truly brilliant acting and musicianship.

  • wow that thenardier is amazing! he shouldn't take anything from anyone, especially since this is a high school production. great job.

  • heehee, I like the percussion in the chorus =D It made me dance... and scare my brother out the room

  • Lmao! I like the High School version better than the other ones I've seen xD

  • aww, don't listen to that cocky poo down there

Your thenardier doesn't look gay, he's really funny and really plays the part well =D xx

  • just ignore that lad he is a total moron. im playin madam thenardier in my drama schools production and i wish my thenardier was as good. u seriously were good and i wish you the best of luck for the future. stephanie lomas

  • So great :D The guy who plays Thenardier makes the show

  • GO M. AND MME. THENARDIER!!!

Seriously, this was awesome!! High school students?! Ahhhh!

    Thenardier was HYSTERICAL!

  • I'm trying to get our principal to let us do this, its so cool, and you guys are great.

  • great job.

    madame cracked me up

  • Our play is way better than this, especially our Mrs.Thenardier, and the thenardier. Our school did a first, a middle school version.

  • well good for you. and i'm sure it is.

  • youre wierd. You have commented on every single one of these videos and said yours was better. wierdo

  • Wtf? Who cares? This is amazing!

  • Then come on... bring it on... lets see what you've got instead of just hearing about it time and time.... and time again!!!

You guys are really great. Well done.

  • @singinggrl234 riiiight...

  • @singinggrl234 I think they did a fanatasic job! les miserables is hard to do to begin with and any highschool thats as good as this desrves credit! JOB WELL DONE!!

  • @singinggrl234 how the hell can yer school compare with this, mate? this is BRILLIANT

  • the chorus is a little lousy though, but otherwise... *faints*

  • whoever played Thernadier, i wanna marry you<3

  • that was a very good highschool version....i just was in the show that closed last weekend i was madam thernardier... i think this ones really funny the only thing i have to say is i think u guys forgot that ur thieves.... i think u needed to makeyour characters a little more sketchy but very good

  • The chorus could have been a little more rowdy but other wise this is great!

  • our high skool did better but this is ok

  • oh...thanks...?

  • good trombone and alto sax.

  • OMG! That was the best High School version I have ever seen! I hope I can be that good! I ADORED the guy who play Thenardier!

  • i wish we had good video equipment...ALAS!!! XD by the way, the ther. was reaally good.

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang

    (but the harmonies were weird.)

  • My goodness...props to the Thernardiers!

  • that was great! My god! I hope I'm that good...

  • WOW! THIS IS GREAT! SO FAR I HAVE NOT SEEN BETTER! i love this song!

  • Daaaang, that was really good.

  • I agree! The actor who played Thenardier did a marvellous job, as did the actress playing his wife. Bravo to them!

  • you guys are the best high school to perform Les Mis on youtube!

  • Do you sing by yourself or is it a cd? Its brilliant!

  • nice, thats I think the only good school production i've heard.

  • thenardier! well done i have to say. both of you. Chorus....um....work on precision, some of your harmonies were off of the score

  • This was so amazing!

    The staging was brilliant.

    And so were the Thenardiers!

  • Nice Orchastration, and The Guy Playing Thenardier (Sp?) Is Awesome.
