@AngusShanks no my bench press is 335 for 1. but on a power iso decline machine its 360 for 15, 405 for 8-12 depending on what I've done the previous day. I can also do 120 lb db incline (45 degree incline) for 8 after 4 sets, decline for more (obviously easier).
@WellsTraining Well, those are excellent numbers, especially for your age and size, but if your form is as bad as what you demonstrated in your leg press video then I would suggest you back off the poundages and use proper form. The guys in your video racked it for you and you did a half rep at best. The incline was too high as well. You aren't accomplishing much that way. You are still strong but are only fooling yourself. Trust me, I'm 42 and bad form has killed my knees.
@WellsTraining .......although I always used full ROMS on my exercises I didn't always control the weight and feel it. Now I'm sitting at home waiting for knee surgery so hopefully I can train legs heavy again. My best leg press (full ROM) was 1,125 lbs x 10 a couple of years ago. No wraps. Scale back your weight and use proper form. If you continue to try PRs with that type of form you won't be lifting anything by my age. Lighten it up , use better form and lift for life. @AngusShanks guys didn't "rack" it for me just take precautions with that much weight since i am only "158" technically doing 1250 (now). I have a sliced open right knee from football which the wraps help for. And I'll show you a side view because the knees touch my chest and I go deeper, as for the incline on the machine, I can do it on that and 30degrees (more declined) as are the only two settings for that machine. Now I do 1200 for 6 reps after a full leg day, if I was fresh at least 8 ROMS
@AngusShanks as for my knees thats why I have the wraps, I've been trained professionaly by many different people. As I am in top 10 in NY State for most of my lifts I think i'm doing fine, on a seperate note thanks for looking out on the knees but I'll be fine. And only truley bad form I've done is on that deadlift, I did 500 clean great form, but wanted to test 525 and with the camera rolling wanted to just get it up (luckily nothing happened).
I'd lose the wraps if you've had an injury. All they do is mask the existing damabe and create more long term damage. You should put up better vids man. Top 10 is pretty impressive but that leg press video was very misleading.
