This is so bizarre. I also wondered why Dale was the only guard there, that seems a little odd to me, it looked a like a big plant, so why was he alone? Also, how'd the burglar get into the plant?
Dale would be 74 yo today if he is still alive. it's likely he might be deceased after vanishing for 24 years. I bet if he did commit this theft, he must be having the goood life.
Also, why would there be one security guard in that plant? I mean, dale can't do all the hard work.
That reenactment of the footage is creepy. Cause I mean one way you look at it, it seems he looking like he is involved, then another way you look he seems like he's a victim. Makes you think what to believe.
One more thing, how the heck did the masked intruder get inside the building after hours? Was he hiding somewhere then came out during Dale's shift? I think that's what happened....how did he get inside???
I don't think Dale would leave his family.I think he was killed and buried nearby somewhere in the town where he lived.I think an employee stole the platinum.It must of been someone who worked at the plant, how else would they know how to get the equipment to steal the platinum.
@edithlovee In case the perpetrators are paying close attention to the media and public broadcasting of the crime. If they showed the actual footage, it could cause the bad guys to panic, making it harder for the police to find them.
i grew up in olean ny which strattles the pa,ny line,and i would go over to bradford with my cousin all the time,and she once told me about a guy many years before stealing a mess load of platnum from the plant we'd drive by many times.i never took what she told me to heart until 1 year ago when i saw this episode.crazy,my cousin even has friends who knew the man and his family all thier lives.

I've noticed that they never show original footage from surveillance video's on UM, instead they do recreations.
