Abd-Allaah ibn Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The daff is haraam, stringed instruments are haraam, drums are haraam and flutes are haraam. Narrated by al-Bayhaqi, 10/222
ur also haram, chill out man, the people of medina greeted the propophet with the daff and the prophet said nothing, who is more reliable the prophet or abd allah ibn abbas (may allah be pleased with them all)
Plus, our ummah has much, MUCH more pressing issues to debate than the haramness of little petty things such as music, or length of a beard, or what is the proper method of wudu.
We have brothers and sisters that are not getting the spiritual support. We need to improve our iman as a collective community, realize that ultimately, all matters rest in the hands of Allah, and the improvement of one's individual self.
These are more important issues than worrying about the "little harams".
By the same token, having a girlfriend is generally agreed upon to be haram. Does this mean that men and women are not to speak or interact with eachother? If yes, then what kind of communication would such a community have? If a relationship between a man and a woman is done in such a way that it does not lead to an absolute haram, then there should not be a problem with it.
Music would fall under category number 2. If the music calls onto the worship of Allah, or other Islamically reccomended activities, then how can it be haram, since music is not amongst the absolute forbidden acts?
See there are two main categories of what is considered haram. 1) Absolutely forbidden (such as zina, alcohol, shirk) and 2) Using something in the wrong way such that it may lead to an absolute haram (having a girlfriend in the western sense, going to parties where alcohol is present, attending a satan worshiping temple)
if he is, he seems to have no respect for the principles of islam.
Tala Al Badru Alayna is an ISLAMIC nasheed and you have made it in to a song for your own entertainment.
Its a shame cos u have a nice voice and many people would appreciate this nasheed more if you did it without guitar or even just sang a non islamic song.
Music and musical instruments are harram in Islam. so we have no right to change Harram and Hallal even though we like it or we dont like it. just like a traffic red signal, even though we don't like it but we have to stop there.
we just obey and change our wishes under the light of Holy Quran
music is not haram it is sin, if u listen to music for a moment, iz ok, but if u make it ur hobby, u will go deep into music u will get addicted to music, as we call in urdu GHAFLAt, then it is sin because it will make the person senseless and take him in fantasies and beer is also haram only because it makes a man senseless and take him into fantasies.
naaa i dnt believe its haram...i knw there are hadith tht prove tht sum music may be haram...bt there are also hadith 2 prove tht music isn't haram...n at the end of the day...it's up2 allah whether e forgives our sins or nt....n allah knws our intention...

for those who said that "this is haraam" and "That is haraam", they are claiming them self as the Al HAkeem...because only Allah knows halaal and haraam, and u said music is haramm,u dont have any love in ur heart, cant u hear what he is singing with his guitar...its one of the way to ask people to go to Allah! better than those who claims them self as a moeslem, but cutting people's head off, like they're the most righteous one. which is better? Allah knows best.
its a very great misconception that people look through Islam as something to be afraid off.Allah is a very loving God.he loves all of us no matter what religion we have - Muslims, Jews, and Christians ; we all worship ONE GOD as it is written in the Qur'an Surah Al-AnKabut.Assalamu alaikum to all!
alhamdulillah!this dude right here is using his talent for the glory of Allah!=)this is how we should reach out to those unpenetrable hearts of people.through music,we can share to them whom Allah really is.
Thats like saying traveling by anything other than foot, horse, donkey, camel, or mule is not allowed in Islam. One sided duff is also a musical instrument. It produces vibration sounds which is music. It was the instrument of choice at the time of Prophet (PBUH), does not mean the rest are haraam.
salam mslimumah, i know there's hadith say any instrument with string or something like that is forbidden or not allowed.. but did u know what event that bring the hadith out?at the age of the Prophet (PBUH), usually when there's travellers come playing string instrument (heard music playing), it means maksiat is coming (prostitute and anything like that).. so now, we use this musical instrument for good, it's still forbidden???
3rd: Your ass listens to music everyday, on TV(news, weather report, everything)
the sound of birds is music, so what do u say?
Also the reason Muhammed (SPBUH)hated(more liek disliked) music is because people at the time were having parties and dancing, etc...with music all around and shit.
But this dude right here is different, he's playing a good song and there are no girls dancing around him.
MUHAMMAD PBUH did not say that he hate music, MUHAMMAD PBUH never ordered anything for his own personal purpose, MUHAMMAD PBUH conveyed ALLAH's messages and it was also ALLAH's message... If iblees or dajjal can bring people on wrong path, then cant they invent music??? in other words,... they can compell a man to sing and to listen to music. and if u listen to music, dont u will to dance??? that is why music is related to dancing and u urself said that dancing is sin.......
Since when did Iblees have the power to invent something?
Go look up what the Zabur was composed of? WIND PIPE INSTRUMENTS WERE USED BY HAZRAT DAWOOD to accompany the Zabur. OH MY..What are you trying to say... and there is SAHIH Hadiths that allow the Daf (drum). Are you saying that it is made by Iblees?
mansha allah brother this is a wonderful version of dala al badru calayna and i really enjoyed it, only those who have love for the prophet can feel this greatness, but others wouldn't because they have generated to much hate of the prophet and cannot hear good thinks being told about the prophet. so brother again thank you very much for this wonderful nasheed.

ASSALAMUALAIKUM
everything we use can use in two ways ,
firstly to use it in a positive way
second.. to use it in negative way
eg
wine is negative in case it is drunk for pleasure
and positive wen taken as amedicine
similarly
music is nt forbidden to praise ALLAH
while it is forbidden to praise worldly matters

music is just as haram as a man not having a beard, men and women shaking hands, or not praying sunnah.
It's not mentioned in the quran, but a recommendation made in some ahadith.
It's like trying to say that witr prayer is fard, when in fact it is sunnah, yet recommended.
May Allah guide us all, even those of us who may think we are. Ameen.
Peace to everyone.
