  • emirates doesnt have the largest fleet in the world,,,,get your facts straight,,,its not even in the top 10!!!!

  • To all of those who said that this was not an emergency flight landing -- that was my sister in that flight. She was severely sick and taken to the nearest hospital, mind you. She was pronounced DOA by the physicians, and did not make it. Today marks her third passing anniversary. Do not take a passing person's name in vain; no one appreciates it. Please remember her in your prayers.

  • I think such large aircrafts should have a doctor on board!!! Cruise ships do...! And yes, we are all reained in first aid, but are not doctors!

    Safe flying!

  • its not possobile for them to take an emergency landing no one has ever been sick if the person was there a whole box of medicine in the secret comparment where airhostess keep their luggage

  • you liar., theres not even a landing never mind an emrgency landing in this video, dont waste our time get a life dont publish your rubbish to youtube when reals tories are being published you are a fake

  • as a frequent flying doctor, we always are 1 or 2 and sometimes we are 5 or 10, so the problem is, who ist the best doctor for the condition ? medication on board is the essentials, but you can always "save" the patient to a) relief treatment or (b) diversion landing. finally, pls admit that airlines are really like charities for taking such loads of sick people with complicated medical conditions who shall not fly any place, except on board a hospital plane with own or rented physician ....

  • that is one beauty!!!

  • lol, my sister got serious ill during a 14-hour long non stop flight from karachi to toronto. we were very lucky because we were still somewhere in europe if the plane was over the ocean then......

but anywayy they treated her like a VIP the pilot came down to hospital to see if she was ok. after 3-hours of delay we took off again!

  • @HolyAngemon007 lolx wat airlines? hahax... interesting story. Everyone had to wait for 3 hrs more. So when u guys took off she's fine already?

  • @kaching555 it was PIA boeing 777-200lr. and yes she was fine and then she flew with us after 3 hrs of delay..xD

  • @HolyAngemon007 oo thats good. ^^

  • what bullshit is this mother f....cker...

  • @Burjjad1 I love the ICE! Flown yesterday 2 6 hours flights with the emirates 777's, last one had 16:9 widescreens. Really gotta love the ICE!

  • ohhhhhh finally i found this video because i was on that plane!!!!!!!!!! it was an emergency landing and had to we land in Munich because of a young girl that got really ill, while we waited in we were all treated well with drinks and snacks being passed and the ICE entertainment passed the time.. we then headed back to new york after a few hours..

  • @Burjjad1 so interesting! Snacks and drinks.. hahax.

  • Im doctor ( intensive care and emergency, and HEMS)

I'm hoping that some air carrier crew plunged into a doctor for long flights.

I will like to work on it.

  • @diegomail Good idea. nxt time they shld have doctors on looong flights

  • Emergency landing means

    1- evacuation on the runway

2- bunch of fire fighting vehicles

    3- slides been opened

    4- airport security everywhere

AND I SAW NON OF THAT so change the video title

  • @699449 yeah, it was not an emergency at all. it was just a 9-year-old girl that was dying -.-

Isn't it enough for an emergency landing? -.-

  • @699449 hey a girl tat is sick. u cant let her just stay there. It would be very contagious u noe... Some others may get her viruses. So this is counted as emergency landing.

  • A 9 year old girl, who reportedly had vomitted several times and then became unconscious, was brought to hospital by a helicopter.

The airplane took off again after about 2.5 hours on the ground and was estimated to arrive in New York with a delay of 4 hours.

...Doctors could not help anymore after arrival at the clinic, the girl was pronounced dead a few hours later.

  • nice video, didn't know you would be allowed a camera on the tarmac... I often see one of these planes at sydney. I love em...

  • i was on this flight. it was so scary. will never fly on an airbus again, only boeing

  • @rodthepimp lol. the medical emergency had nothing to do with the aircraft manufacturer.

  • @rodthepimp you are a moron. Full story is everywhere on the web. It was a medical emergency, crew and company informed passengers and took the decision immediatly to land on munich. It's standard procedure. By the way, Emirates just ordered 32 more A380 for a total of $12bil.

  • @7Kronos airbus's are still flying death traps

  • @rodthepimp your air force decided to order 179 Airbus KC-30, seems you are the man they need to open their eyes...

  • @7Kronos DEATH TRAPS!

  • @rodthepimp U were not on that flight

  • Airbus socks ,

  • how many a 380 s in the world?

  • @01dudik10

if you go to airbus website there is a list

of those in service - more than you think!

  • @01dudik10

At this time, 10 June 2010, there are currently 31 Airbus A380's in service:

    10 = Singapore Airlines; 4 = Air France; 6 = Qantas; 10 = Emirates and1 = Lufthansa.

I myself love these monsters and so far embarked on 3 tours around the a380 factory and later this as a little treat for me and my good lady we are taking advantage of the London - Paris - London offer currently available to go for a meal in Paris for our anniversary. It just makes it that little bit more special!

  • idont know why icant see the beauty of this wahle shaped massive box if it aint boeing iaint going :)

  • @Michaelnagui

The emergency landing wasn't due to a medical cause. I've heard the pilots talking about a Boeing got sucked into one of the engines and the Airbus crew wasn't sure about safely getting it out while in flight.

  • @Michaelnagui Then maybe boeing should come up with something that does not look like a 747 something that baffle's the imagination would be a start.

  • OMFG I ALWAYS GET MIXED UP WITH THER Boeing 747-400 lol

  • My best planes are Qatar Airways and Emirates but i love Qatar airways more idk why :) I love qatar airways firstclass business and economy they are all relaxing but emirates the only class is relaxing is first and others are not i tried them :) so dont rate down :(

  • Read the description

    Medical emergency

    _______

  • yeah

  • No A380 had an emergency landing befor, you must be joking.

  • he said due to a medical emergency onboard ya plank

  • lol i recenty bought tickets to a a380-400 emirates and going to canada to dubai

  • you mean a380-800

  • A380-800 ;)

  • with an A380?

  • im going to dubai

  • iam also going on emirates in just a few days

  • dont scare me bout emirates emergency landing. im goin der at da 20th jan 2010.

  • where are you going?

  • Every crew member is trained in first aid. Be it EK or any other airline.

In addition, every EK crew member is trained on Tempus IC telemedicine system on board every EK aircraft.

  • Yes this just a diversion.Emirates female crew members are not trolley dolleys and every crew member is trained in first aid.Are you sure you work for ek ! I do and I doubt that you do mr Mechanic

  • 1st, this is not an emergency landing, it is a diversion. 2nd, Emirates is one of the biggest airlines in the world and have a number of A380s in their fleet so unfortunately medical emergencies are an inevitability, this is not the same aircraft that was diverted into Perth. 3rd, Mr Emirates mechanic, there are not at least 4 'trolley dolleys' trained in first aid but each and every crew member on board has gone through extensive first aid training with state of the art equipment.

  • Not sure if they have a number of A380s. Considering Airbus was more than a year behind schedule with delivery. To my knowlege Quantas, Singapore, Emirates and Air France (?) only have one each. Next delivery goes to Cathy Pacific.

  • Actually, Cathay Pacific has not even ordered A380. 25 A380 are in airline service today, of which Emirates owns 8. Singapore has 10, Quantas 6, Air France 1. The next airline to receive one is Lufthansa in late summer, whereas previous mentioned airlines will receive additional aircraft until then.

  • thx for updating my info. hard to believe CP hasn't ordered any. their vancouver-hong kong route could really need one. guess the 747 or A340 does just fine. I had no idea that there were so many A380s in srv. they were struggling to get the first one out ... wow

  • Nice spelling, naisi. "qUantas"????

  • @naisi

    uhmmm france has 2 :P:P

  • @Bondiblu2

nope next delivery would go to lufthansa then kore then malaysia then china etc

  • @smcm20 Owned

  • @smcm20 this is very true :)

but might i say if it was very sever maybe the guys blood flow stopped

maybe heart attack and he needed operation

maybe he was on his way to new york for a heart transplant

we have to consider everything as its all possible

  • @smcm20 Including CPR

  • @smcm20 I know man they have 12 adn orderd 90! Crazy Man :J

  • @smcm20 It was an emergency for the poor sod with the heart attack. Methinks you need to get out more.

  • this is interesting... I wonder if it should be mandatory to have a doctor on board and even some medical stuff when there are so many people on board. Rather like ships? I know, ships carry far more, nevertheless... but then again I suppose the airfares would go up too... ah well... only a thought. Could that person have been saved up there with a doc and medication on board?

  • they'll put one on board when the cost of medical diversions is greater than the cost of a doctor on each flight.

  • I work for EMIRATES as Mechanic, the A380 has more than 60 oxygen bottle and more than 40 first aid kit + the most advanced medical kit that's able to communicate to a doctor on ground threw the satellites + at least 4 of the trolley dolly's have gone threw a first aid course, till now emirates has spent hundred of millions till it became the best in safety .

  • DXBJ4: I'm sure you're right, thx for the information. It only made me think, I am not an expert in these matters and just gave it some thought and shared what i felt might be a useful comment to think about.

  • if u were a real emirates mechanic, then u probably would have spelled through right

  • ENGLISH is not my first language. i can read and talk in a good accent but i do some spelling mistakes sometimes.

AND I DON'T NEED U TO BELIEVE ME, ITS NOT GOING 2 CHANGE A THING

  • There was almost certainly a doctor amongst the passengers, It may have been the facility lacking rather than medical personnel.

  • @trident3b yes obviosly medical things crew are trained in first aid no doctor unless a passenger

  • @trident3b

mostly there is someone who is a doc, I was once on a B747 AF Boston to Paris and a gentleman collapsed, and 3 doctors were on board from the passengers :)

he was given all the care that was needed in the air and he was fine... but ofcourse made me sleepless and restless all my flight :)

  • @trident3b too higher costs and not worth it. Some airlines have 100's of planes in their fleet however you don't get many medical emergences (as a per centage of all flights flown). Also more cabin crew potentially less passenger room.

  • @trident3b

Making things madatory translates into laws, and more expenses. People should be allowd to die more often

  • @trident3b thats why the Cabin Crew are there

  • @Aviationnation10 my comment is a year old now, but still, cabin crew are service personnel trained to provide meals comfort and received a little training on how to encourage people to jump out onto the slides if necessary, they have no medical training what so ever, or? Anyway, whatever...

  • @trident3b Nope very very wrong the bulk of the course is on saftey Cpr,Child birth,Dealing with wounds etc the last few days are on service depending on the carrier of course but its mainly saftey

  • @Aviationnation10 hmm...ok. not what I heard. Well that makes things look better then if so..

  • @trident3b 99% of it is saftey

  • I do not expect that there is any emergency during the flight

May be this type of aircraft the first time obtained by the United Arab Emirates and landed in Dubai airport

  • wait..wtf happened????? someone tell me please haha

  • a women died durin flight i think

  • i heard the woman has given birth to a twin so they had to divert it to Germany because the grand pa as there on business trip'

  • nooooov i dont think soo i think some1 died :(

  • A little gril became very sick during the flight and required medical treatment fast. After 2 hours getting treated at the hospital, she passed away.

Extreamly generous from Emirates to land at hamburg

    5/5

  • Airlines are forced to land at the nearest airport when a medical emergency its been held on board meaning somone's life is in danger. Whilw descending crew will contact medical staff waiting on the airport to report all vital sings and any changes - of course they will not divert the aircraft for a headache - cabin crew members are trained give a first diagnosys and according to that contact ground and follow any indications :)

  • Ohh...ok...good to know that! :)

  • a women or a girl got kint of an heart attack or a blood vessel burst in the brain

  • Simple Answer Those help us relax from comfined spaces such like an aeroplane.

It is same question like why does cruise have casino and swimming pool.

  • To: andou7

    Thank you for your answers.

Just have an additional question. Why does inflight meals so interesting and special?

  • 1 ) for those who can afford it, feeling fresh and clean at 42000 ft can be priceless. For those who are more adventures, there's something called mile high club

    2) because it's got the space, and the lust

    3) or you'd rather stare at a 15" CRT in the alley of a 737?

    4) I'm sure you're not the only who would can endure 14 hours with cold sandwiches, but most of us would prefer something a little nicer.

  • you rock

  • The more people enclosed in a jumbo jet, the better chance of a medical emergency.

    A probability fact.

  • The more people enclosed on board, the better chance someone will suffer from a medical condition

  • Maybe they restock oxygen or patrol?

  • There was also a Qantas A380 that a medical emergency onboard as well

  • what is the emergency?..

  • medical emergency on board

  • i agree.

  • just cuz ur a fan of boeing .. a380 is amazing

  • thanks :D

  • How many houers is dubai to munich?

  • it's like 6 hours

  • Not even since the flight from Munich to New York is 8-9 hours. More like 3-5 hours.

  • about 5 ish

  • 5-6 hours. i went from Riyadh - Heathrow and it was 6 hours.

  • the ill girl died.

  • what was the medical emergency?

  • an Ill girl which died..

  • How do you know?

  • news, and ppl on youtube, commented this video, writing that she is dead :)

  • How old was she and how did she die? :(

  • I don't know :)

  • its the world's biggest passenger jet!

  • the Worlds biggest Jet is the Antonov AN225. They should soo turn that beast into a PAX Variant

  • LOL, i thought that, but i learnt it would be WAY too noisy, and also it's very turbulent

  • Turbulent.. okay.. Ill give you that. The Wingtip Voticies are pretty great. But noisy? Ive heard the AN225. It lands here in Winnipeg (CYWG) Every like.. 2 to 4 weeks. And that bird comes in soo quiet that you wouldnt even know its there.

  • Because it's russian, lol.

  • what is? lol.

  • note, he did say passenger

  • ya right

  • Imagine if one of the ground stewards wasn't looking and it rolled over his foot

  • LOL - ouch

  • he would get sucked in before that wheel got anywhere near him

  • not if the nose wheel rolled over him

  • I reckon one of those tires would do more damage then crush a foot, possibly squash ya flat.

  • With 400-500 people on board a plane, 1ppl is all it take to land it.

  • just like any other plane?!

  • certainly higher chance with more ppl on board.

  • yes obviously, but thats not the A380's problem is it

  • Yes, because Emirates has a say on if a person has a medical emergency......

  • ohh... the chick had an emergency - the plane wasn't dodge. sorry, i didn't watch the whole video

  • it's ok :)

  • A children had a health problem. Thats why it diverted. Sadly the children died.

  • oh. thats not too good then

  • the had no glitch...there was this sick girl...i think she's dead...not sure

  • What airlines have to do with a medical emergency???

  • Emirates is safe, it's just the poor little girl was ill before boarding.

My condolences to her family and friends

    R.I.P

  • WHo WAt when where i didnt see shit where is the girl?

  • So sad . . . Rest in Peace.

  • :( RIP

  • poor girl may her soul rest in peace

  • did she get ill in the plane ,or she was ill b4?

  • She was ill before. But medical personal declared her stable before the flight. Sadly they got it wrong.

  • poor girl god bless her and, my condolences 2 the family,i wish they had A doctor in flight,i meant alwys on large planes!

  • Rest In Peace

  • when does this happen? anyway R.I.P

  • so sad.RIP

the word "huge" is not enough for A380's

  • what was the medical emergency? awesome plane btw good vid :D

  • a 9 year old girl named tayyabah had a lot of problems with her stomach...an she was very

    dehydrated

@munich airport she has been flown to a hospital in munich (schwabing)

@hospital the doctors tried to save her live and to rescue her but they had no chance...

the little girl died 5 hours after the emergency landing

    my condolences to the family

  • oooh RIP!

  • but we were told in the plance that her condition was stable... I mean when we were preparing to take off the captain said she seems to be responding to the treatment.. i dind't know she died.. i still remember that green color dressed young girl..R.I.P

  • oh my goodness , thats so sad, i feel sad for her and the family

  • oh my gosh, the poor little girl

my condolences also to her family, that would ave been difficult for them to deal with.

    R.I.P

  • Better safe than sorry.

    Great work.
