  • Thanks for helping those who are cautious that they have counterfeit software. 3 other ways is if the pictures are blurry, spelling mistakes and different font in book or on CD.

  • @MrTechNews123 Thanks for the comment and info. :)

  • thanks for posting...i got ripped off on ebay too with vista software a couple of years ago....My advise would be NEVER buy software from ebay....there is way too much counterfeit stuff on there. I have even been scammed on perfume....bought so Juicy Couture, and it was fake.......besides, most of the people on their bid stuff to far up....very few good deals to be had.

  • @Rodes27 Yeah, a lot of them are fake, and I don't buy any computer stuff there any more...

  • Same thing happened to me (i've just uploaded a vid myself about it). In my case, the seller hasn't been online and i couldn't track him down, but i contacted Microsoft and they seemed pretty happy to chase him up.

  • @RezaCHUNWOOKIEE Thanks for your comment. I don't think MS would do anything, but I hope they would do something...

I would recommend you to contact eBay customer service. They can find the seller, and help you out little bit. Never give up on getting money back!!!

Also, you can get genuine product from MS cheaper for this kind of case. Search for Get Genuine Online Kit.

  • Thanks for making this!

  • Thanks for making this!

  • @1337exegamer Thank you for your support. If you could, please share this video with your friends to spread this. Thanks! :)

  • Niiiiiiice! I LIKE THIS

  • @schoolbaby11 Thanks! :)

  • why would you post it if there is another person post it because the people that make the counterfeit and fix all the things?!

  • @kevinwang05 Well, I just wanted to help people, so they won't be fooled by people who make these couterfeit copies. I know those fake ones are getting more like real ones, but people will know where not to buy from. I always recommend people to buy Windows from authorized seller.

  • That's my monitor!

  • @DOT0157 Really!? Cool! I love this monitor!! :)

  • There's a video here (8:34), "FAKE WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATES ON EBAY", posted by thechef73 ( v=2iX9T5xOATc ) and it provides a very good explanation ; but the difference in the outer cardboard boxes of authentic and counterfeit packages is not quite clear. I noticed more gray, as opposed to black, in the video of this page from TT01RCDrift. My box shows a very slight lightening of black, but barely.

Iow, counterfeits are not all the same. They differ. But they're all counterfeits.

    Thanks for the vid

  • @mikecorbeil Thanks for your comments, seems like you figured out your copy was counterfeit. All disks are made in Puerto Rico or Singapore.

I have a question for you. Where did you get your Windows 7 and how much was it?

  • @TT01RCDrift All of the disks being made in only Puerto Rico and Singapore for all distribution of authentic Win 7 is very suprising. Even in the USA, buyers there, would have Win 7 CD or DVD from Puerto Rico, if not Signapore, and Microsoft is based in the USA ?

That's strange, imo. Some stupid game is being played by Microsoft, but that wouldn't be unusual of MS, either.

  • I have no peelable plastic on the DVDs, as two videos show many counterfeits have; including the video in this page and posted by TT01RCDrift. And I can't peel off the tiny and shiny things, whatever they're called, on the blue and white label on the top of the plastic box. They look sort of like holographic, I guess, but are tiny things. The ones on my blue and white label do not peel off at all ; just like there's no peelable or removable plastic on the dvd(s). It's still counterfeit though

  • That the dvd that I have has reflection like the authentic dvd, nothing like the counterfeit shown in this video clip, doesn't mean that I don't have counterfeit. I viewed three other videos at Youtube about this last week and know from them to have counterfeit, definitely. But as is said in one of those videos, counterfeits are sometimes very difficult to distinguish from authentic win7 ultimate packages.

  • Fine video clip, but I have a question and will state a difference with the bottom-side of the DVD. For the question, is "Made in USA" always invalid? What about when buying in the U.S. and, for me, more specifically, Canada? It's not then going to say Puerto Rico. I have bought what I believe to be counterfeit, but the bottom-side of the DVD has reflection like the authentic dvd, nothing like the counterfeit shown in this video clip.

  • I was reading at Microsoft's website yesterday that you can get a free replacement from Microsoft if you report the software as counterfeit.

  • @NOSboy2012 Yes, they used to do that for XP, but not for Vista or 7...... Now they have "Get Genuine Online Kit" that you can get cheaper than original price.

  • Mine was downloaded and fully cracked :P works like a beast.

  • @gdfschimpi007 Can you download Windows updates?

  • @TT01RCDrift Of course I can. Ever heard of Windows 7 Loader? It preloads the required SLIC activation data into memory before Windows loads. Which fools Windows into thinking that the BIOS contains this information and therefore that the machine is a legit OEM branded box. :)

  • @gdfschimpi007 Yeah, I've heard of that before, but didn't know what actually that was. You are a smart guy. :)

  • When you buy windows your buying a serial number, if this is fake it will deactivate, the box and disk are irrelevant.

  • @MrPoxman Yes, it was deactivated. The product key only worked for 3 months.

  • Who cares they work the same!!

  • @LiverpoolStGerrard You won't be able to get Windows updates and these counterfeit copies might contain some viruses.

  • are you a japanese

  • @ongchorcool Yes.

  • ty soo much. JWS Computers screwed up my comp
