"heart" is so important! We need it to have the courage to tackle the business side of the artistic path as well as the emotional creative side of it. And, with practice, maintaining heart becomes easier. I'm not a singer but writing requires the same "heart." I've read technically good books that lacked heart and the courage of conviction and they were nothing compared to books that were not so technically perfect but which showed the writers' heart. We've got to trust where our heart goes.

Thank you from my heart dear brother for this most inspired delievery about following our hearts. Being in this space of heart truly leads to a most fulfilling life. I too am first and foremost a singer/songwriter. My voice training was based in Indian classical music, but as much as I love Indian classical, I had to follow my hearts melody living my truth through my songs, my voice, etc.that's quite different from pure Indian classical.
