As a Ballet fan only, I have enjoyed many "live" productions here in Los Angeles with the world's finest artists on stage. I saw this production on TV & never forgot the excellence of Merle Park. I cant remember the year & wish I could buy a good copy. My favorite "Sleeping Beauty" ever. Imagine those days with Park, Shearer, Fonteyn in the same company!

Park's adagio is light and swift. I love it. The de Valois production looks pretty good too. Wonder why they scrapped it?

Such language is quite unnecessary. Merle Park danced beautifully. Such a shame picture quality so poor.
