The option wasn't ran here. It was pass play, scramble like hell unless somebody is open by a mile. True, a wins a win. But it is kind of cheesy if that's all you do. The actual triple option is deadly enough. Then, when they start run committing with the motion, trap option, daylight to the end zone if your blocking is good. Offense is deadly for run committing defenses.
