Maybe read a fucking book. The NSBM guy is right. Read Eustace Mullins, go learn about the Federal Reserve and who runs it. Its facts, all provable. Not "Shitty conspiracies." you just refuse to accept. You're scum. So get it right. capitalism, communism, 2 sides of the same coin. Hitler rejected them both and for 6 years before the war he had the most prosperous happy nation the world's ever seen. Fuck you all
Idiots... This song is totally ANTINAZI. Read or listen the fucking lyrics. The lyrics criticize the people that are robots and walk in a line that "strong" tell them to walk. IDIOTS.
You fucking Communist, along with your mother should have been shot when she was pregnant with you. Struggle against capitalism? Communism and capitalism, the Jews supported the money, now you're fighting against yourself? Completely stupid? You're an idiot. Ok, fight against yourself. Rockeffeller-Rotschild-Bilderberg group Warburgs the big capitalist and ILLUMINATI FUCKING JEW.
Ok,young people.Joy Division never was a pro-NAZI band.Punk rock stile musicians sometimes ironized Rightwing way of life, not like the hippies begging for love and peace, punk rockers ironized violence by using the violence speak against itself.Did you noticed the difference? So if you're a nazi, forget listening to Joy Division music. It was anti-nazi on its essence like all decent people in world, just like me.(laughing)

I dont really believe this band had any real political agendas. Just enjoy the music for what it is.
@MontanaOracle: yeah, but in 79 Ian Curtis voted for MargaretThatcher who succeeded in destroying Britain's trade unions, which Curtis wanted.
What she also did after destroying the country's manufacturing base was to neoliberalise, as it's now called, the financial sector and deregulate everything for, yup, smaller government.
By this she handed national power to our financial elite as Reagan& Volcker did in the US.Hence....
Check out the book 'A Brief History of Neoliberalism'. Crash course.
You'd have to go back to the burst of interest that happened in the 70s regarding Nazism/WWII. You had films like Shoah as skeletons were beginning to fall out closets in places like WGermany with R.A.F active - after the enforced hush of the 50s and 60s it was in the 70s young people discovered Nazism anew and it must have been a seismic shock to them, as it seems to have been for Curtis. It's the greatest rupture in the history of western society and it only happened 30 years before he wrote.

maybe its because we're seeing our whole society being taken over by the mob of low IQ, un-intellectual takers? Hmmmmm????
I LOVE JoDiv...BUT, they did have some weird Nazi fascinations, especially earlier on. By the time they got to New Order (also a Nazi allusion), they'd cycled through many Nazi themes, including the band name Warsaw (also a song an a Nazi 'goal'), Stiff Kittens (too long to explain), and of course, Joy Division. It goes with other Nazi threads running through the music. The surviving members later said elsewise; it's likely they DID have notions, until they got bigger and it wasn't appropriate.
@cynicallydepressed1 Please explain further why Stiff Kittens is somehow related to Nazism? I'm really curious about this. Or at least refer me to a link explaining it.
The band never officially went by the name Stiff Kittens; they did allow it to be used on a poster for a show because they didn't have any other name they could use, but the first official name for that particular band was Warsaw. Also a reference to it on the wikipedia page if you Google Stiff Kittens. HOWEVER, what I'm refering to is written down in what us old people call a 'book', in particular one that was about the band. There were two or three lines about it. I cannot link a book, sorry.
Its shame to see JD blended with nazi propaganda. You must understand that JD broke in a very conformist show business at the time that was dominated by high technically musicians from the hippie era boring "progressive rock" and on the other hand a punk movement that was essentially rebellious looking like. The whole concept with JD with no look and raw style was to express existential distress in its roughest way and show how conformism is an alienation. They meant the whole contrary of nazism

@zian1977c Yes, he created a new world. An evil, fascist world which was inevitably crushed by righteous causes. Russia stormed and destroyed Germany with great speed and skill, and yet the tragic thing is that Russia has most Neo-Nazi parties and general sympathists in the world. It could be argued that Mccain is a nazi, but if not then America does NOT have the most Nazi sympathists in the world.
@Thecuregalore94 The problem is that the fascist government of back then in Germany is actually less fascist than the governments around the world right now.
@Sharangir That's a little exaggerated mate. Hitler is the epitomy of fascism, he is the first and foremost example of extremism and fascism. Yes, there are corrupt governments of elitist belief in our modern world, but none as ruthless, cruel and discriminative as the Nazi regime.
@cruentousmess No no no no, he claimed the Nazi party to be national socialist in order to gain more appeal to the people to exploit his public image. It was very clearly a facsist regime once power was seized in 1933 though.
@Thecuregalore94 Fascism is based on a collaboration between corporations and the state. Hitler believed corporations to be run by Jews. Nazi's hated Jews, therefore Nazi Germany was not fascist but simply Nazi Germany.
@cruentousmess Fascism is based upon the use of propoganda and fear to form the idealogy within a state that there is an elite social class/race. @PankRottana hey man or chic or whatever u are. Are you gonna be like these flamers? I made this vid cuz i like history and I love how the Nazi soldiers were just never believed in there views. So spare the BS.
nazi germany had the right idear. the total protection of its people and every country in europe and the world needs to think like them. vote for your nationlist party and protect your people and race before it gets wiped up through brainwashing.
@stokie1999999 hahaahah "wiped up" wiped out moron.you hateful little turd...maybe youre right ,stay in your country ,no-one likes people like you anyway
@12719386 i dont hate anyone apart from the corrupt goverments of the west who have compleatly destroyed it. its called the new world order if your to stupid to understand it and what it means and stand for. and in the process of it, it weakens nations and destroys identity. and the white race is being compleattly wiped out through it all and its controll of the media.
if you dont give a fuck thats your problem but dont attack people who want to do somthing about it. get an education moron.
@stokie1999999 sorry i didnt get my "education" off of you tube ,do you even have an education? I do....why do I even get involved in this shit?...I guess small minds just piss me off......
ARIOS JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA ME CAGO SOBRE USTEDES.
Yeah, and Sid Vicious never wore a hammer and sickle t-shirt, he wore a fucking swastika t-shirt. Their Post-War baby boom generation was reacting against crippling socialist policy in Great Britain the way the current American youth should be reacting against Obama brand socialism here in the states (give all these kids here a couple more years with broken promises and no jobs and then you'll start seeing a serious swing to the Right....
@yojimbe Why should they swing to the right? I don't agree much with Democratic Party policies either, but there are more political ideologies than the "Right" and the "Left." Don't automatically assume that people won't be equally disgusted with both the Democrats and Republicans in the future.
Definitely pro-Nazi the song and video because whatever your political bias may be you feel some kind of emotional response listening to and watching this. Hitler would have really liked Joy Division....
@yojimbe The song wasn't Pro-Nazi, and neither was Joy Division, you should really do some research before making unsubstantiated statements like that. If anything the song was vilifying people surrendering their individuality to their nation and becoming part of the war machine that was Nazi Germany. Giving up their free wills for the advancement of their nation and going along with the atrocities of the regime to make their country "Glorious"
Ah, like we have today, a greater illusion of a supposed greater freedom. Tell me, who is freer, the man who knows he is in jail and fights to get out.
Or the man, who has been conned into thinking he is already on the outside, and therefore, he need not struggle at all. A real life trumann show. That is what we live- it is what the Nazis fought against.
@CeltzKrieg The Nazis were a large and diverse group, and I'm certain that, yes, some of them were fighting for a different way of life for their nation rather than just too exterminate certain races off of the face of the planet. But that doesn't excuse the fact that the Nazis were genocidal maniacs, what they fought for ultimately boiled down too two things, land and racial purity, to laud them as some fighters of oppression is a pretty poor position too take if history is any indication.
True enough, but I doubt we would be that much better off regardless who won WW2. You would just trade one set of problems for another and in the end it makes no difference either way... Well to me at least... I would rather anarchy, and tribalism as we will revert back to anyway in the end just as nature would have it be. Don't worry man this won't last it's already beginning to fall apart now!
@CeltzKrieg What? The Nazis fought for the fallacies of modern liberalism, collectivist crap, pseudo-science, and crackpot mythology. Sounds like you're believing what Nietzsche wrote, my friend.
Every heard of natural rights (look them up)? They exist in everyone, a priori. The spirit of freedom cannot be crushed and collectivistism will always fail. This is what the Founding Fathers and countless others throughout history have fought for (both on the battlefield and in the arena of ideas).
Amazing syncopation to the song. This must of taken a long time to match this up so melifudously. Yes, who don't like 'Hitlah'- but i think the song is as much an indictment of the LEFT as the Right. Now It's against the creed to not support the Mosque in NYC. I thought the RIGHT wing were all about promoting Religion. Suddenly 'tolerance' lectures in support of the WORST one...
Misguided fools marching. What a group to have the balls to captured the stupidity of following the machine. Ian really captured a moment in time. Well done Ian and keep on mashing it up with the big guy!
LIVE IAN CURTIS FOREVER!!!! FUCK NAZIS they would have been an elite if they hadn't been slaying innocent men, women and children, just for the ideas of an insane leader whose past was related with some judaism...
@tanpiltanpil Germany - one country - fought against the British Empire, the Russian Empire, France and its colonies, America etc. etc. etc. for six years, essentially on thier own - if thats not the best army ever I don't know what is. Have you seen the size of Russia? Bear in mind Russia recieved material from the USA and the people are hardly a pushover but the Germans got as far as Moscow in awful conditions, what other nation has fought such overwhelming odds for so long? No other.
These are Allgemeine-SS troops in the video. The Waffen-SS wore grey. The other divisions (save the Einsatzkommando and the SS-Totenkopfverbande) wore black.
I can't tell if this video is anti-Nazi or anti-anti-Nazi.
Keep in mind, I'm not a National Socialist, but the Waffen-SS were damn tigers. Possibly the best fighters that've ever set foot on planet earth. And on top of that, they, the Wehrmacht, most of the Luftwaffe, and the Kriegsmarine, never even knew shit about the death camps. The Allgemeine-SS and the Einsatzkommando, on the other hand, I can't defend. But the Waffen-SS were just fighters, not the political Nazi troops that ran the camps
This was a perfect video for a rivetting track... until the ending. It was completely unnecessary considering what came before, and while it kinda works as cautionary warning/omen, it will only confuse those who may not fully understand the song's point about the evil stupidity of war in general and Nazism in particular. Nice job, nevertheless...
hey man, the shit at the end?...hahaha.....get a clue you fascist fuck. you missed the meaning, of course, as do all you fascist fucks.....hahaha.....embarrassing; it's like those pricks who thought "born in the usa" was some pro-american flag-waving bullshit...history shits on you.
@sinnerx923 I know a guy who was SS. He started out as a Red Army Cossack. Never wanted to fight but it was that or be shot.He chose to live. He survived Stalingrad but was caught. Slowly dying in a POW camp, he was given a choice: die or join the German Cossacks. He chose to live. The German Cossacks later became a regiment of the SS.He didn't choose the SS.He chose to live.Partisans tried to kill him.He killed them.He didnt choose to kill.He chose to live.Life was not as simple as we are told.
@harryf200 how about standing up for what you believe in? your friend was nothing more than a fucking coward...."he chose to live"...don't make me laugh.
german cossacks were nothing more than cowards; an embarrassment for russia and an embarrassment to themselves and the world.
@greenfish88 Well, it's great to know there are kind and compassionate people as your self in the world who will gladly lay down their lives on a point of principle. How courageous are you to judge a 17 year old boy, not to mention a regiment of men fighting what they felt were the murderous Bolsheviks. I take it you mourn the passing of the Bolcheviks, then. I salute your human perfection.
@phenethylaminedreams Yeah, I'd like to think I would have done the same as you, but I'm not sure I would. The choice was easier for him because the new Communists had expropriated his father's land & animals into a Collective Farm, all managed by someone who didn't know how to run a farm. He didn't know anything about the Fascists except they hated the Communists, too! "My enemy's enemy is my friend." Life ain't simple, is it! :o)
i remember when i first heard this song at my friends. she said that i was crazy for not liking it. I know totally understand why i was crazy. this song is Amazing!!!
punk music stems from the 30th anniversary of ww2 in 1975 post punk is joy d saying to sex pistols the music can have more depth and doesnt have to be "bollocks"
ian curtis and joy division on a whole were highly influenced by other cultures including reggae and rhythm and blues, in no were near Fascists... ian curtis simply had an extreme interest in history etc, read his wifes book about him.

Yeah, and Sid Vicious never wore a hammer and sickle t-shirt, he wore a fucking swastika t-shirt. Their Post-War baby boom generation was reacting against crippling socialist policy in Great Britain the way the current American youth should be reacting against Obama brand socialism here in the states (give all these kids here a couple more years with broken promises and no jobs and then you'll start seeing a serious swing to the Right....
yojimbe 1 year ago
@yojimbe Why should they swing to the right? I don't agree much with Democratic Party policies either, but there are more political ideologies than the "Right" and the "Left." Don't automatically assume that people won't be equally disgusted with both the Democrats and Republicans in the future.

I love this song!
andybono10 1 year ago
Definitely pro-Nazi the song and video because whatever your political bias may be you feel some kind of emotional response listening to and watching this. Hitler would have really liked Joy Division....
yojimbe 1 year ago
@yojimbe The song wasn't Pro-Nazi, and neither was Joy Division, you should really do some research before making unsubstantiated statements like that. If anything the song was vilifying people surrendering their individuality to their nation and becoming part of the war machine that was Nazi Germany. Giving up their free wills for the advancement of their nation and going along with the atrocities of the regime to make their country "Glorious"
Hakudohshi 1 year ago 29
@Hakudohshi
Free will?
Ah, like we have today, a greater illusion of a supposed greater freedom. Tell me, who is freer, the man who knows he is in jail and fights to get out.
Or the man, who has been conned into thinking he is already on the outside, and therefore, he need not struggle at all. A real life trumann show. That is what we live- it is what the Nazis fought against.
CeltzKrieg 7 months ago
@CeltzKrieg The Nazis were a large and diverse group, and I'm certain that, yes, some of them were fighting for a different way of life for their nation rather than just too exterminate certain races off of the face of the planet. But that doesn't excuse the fact that the Nazis were genocidal maniacs, what they fought for ultimately boiled down too two things, land and racial purity, to laud them as some fighters of oppression is a pretty poor position too take if history is any indication.
Hakudohshi 7 months ago
@CeltzKrieg
True enough, but I doubt we would be that much better off regardless who won WW2. You would just trade one set of problems for another and in the end it makes no difference either way... Well to me at least... I would rather anarchy, and tribalism as we will revert back to anyway in the end just as nature would have it be. Don't worry man this won't last it's already beginning to fall apart now!
deviantcreep 5 months ago

ExplosiveSnowman 1 year ago
I can't tell if this video is anti-Nazi or anti-anti-Nazi.
Keep in mind, I'm not a National Socialist, but the Waffen-SS were damn tigers. Possibly the best fighters that've ever set foot on planet earth. And on top of that, they, the Wehrmacht, most of the Luftwaffe, and the Kriegsmarine, never even knew shit about the death camps. The Allgemeine-SS and the Einsatzkommando, on the other hand, I can't defend. But the Waffen-SS were just fighters, not the political Nazi troops that ran the camps
ExplosiveSnowman 1 year ago
Not anti-Nazi actually

This was a perfect video for a rivetting track... until the ending. It was completely unnecessary considering what came before, and while it kinda works as cautionary warning/omen, it will only confuse those who may not fully understand the song's point about the evil stupidity of war in general and Nazism in particular. Nice job, nevertheless...

@harryf200 how about standing up for what you believe in? your friend was nothing more than a fucking coward...."he chose to live"...don't make me laugh.
german cossacks were nothing more than cowards; an embarrassment for russia and an embarrassment to themselves and the world.
greenfish88 1 year ago
@greenfish88 Well, it's great to know there are kind and compassionate people as your self in the world who will gladly lay down their lives on a point of principle. How courageous are you to judge a 17 year old boy, not to mention a regiment of men fighting what they felt were the murderous Bolsheviks. I take it you mourn the passing of the Bolcheviks, then. I salute your human perfection.

I'd rather die than kill in the name of a monstrous ideology.
Not criticizing his choice. I'm sure he had his reasons, but I couldn't live with that.

You also know that nazis made slavs to slaves by more than adding a single letter?
Do you think a nazi would ever talk to you and look into your eyes without despising you?
Some would call your behaviour masochism, bordering to suicidal tendencies.
