So did you figure out the tricks that you know yourself or did someone show you? Or did you buy them online? All the tricks that you can buy online, it's because someone revealed it. I get it now. It's ok to reveal magic for money, but it's not ok to reveal it for free. Just sounds like a bunch of bs that amateur magicians say. Want a trick that people won't reveal? Become a real magician and invent your own!
I think "magic exposure" is definitely not a good thing, but there are certain instances where I think it's you know, like "okay" or whatever. Like, card magic. Not a lot of people like it, especially not basic card magic. So teach all the basic sleights and stuff to get the learners practicing, then let them go from there, you know, that way they can learn to build their own style and effects from the moves, sleights, and misdirections they know

Real magicians respect the art of magic. You will never see one of the masters post tutorials on youtube. Why would you want to teach someone something when you yourself say that your videos "may not be good"? I personally like to learn from masters.
@erk13z honestly some masters do post on line. like dan and dave buck for ex. but the main reson they did that is because they put the jones change in the triligy but it was wrong. so to make up for the messed up tutorial. they posted it online for free.
But it is not ok to reveil tricks that the creators worked so hard to develop and perfect. Think how they must feel if they teach this trick to someone, then that someone posts it online, for all the world to see. The magic is gone and all that hard work is lost. Remember. I kinda agree with you but disagree in some ways. Yes people should not expose really good tricks that magicians like Criss Angle or other popular magicians use but what about those little kids that are just looking for inspiration. A few years ago I was about 11 and just getting into magic. I mean I was still in 6th grade and didnt have a penny to spend. Im still not old enough for a job to buy tricks but I make up tricks and use birthday money for tricks. Its the free that got me started.

No dude.. When an art is learnt the hard way, it has its own value. I'm a magician n I've learnt it the hard way throu books, as I didnt have internet that time. I know its value. When its easily available, people wont even have inspiration to practise it. I guess u can understand

I agree with you. Exposing magic is fine as long as you dont over expose. If you over exposed then you wouldnt be able to show your tricks because then everyone would already know them

I think u have the wrong concept. If people keep exposuring magic too much, it will ruin the art of magic. Magic has existed for past thousand years, it never end. People still can find the way to learn magic, so you don't need to worry about it.

I kinda agree with you but disagree in some ways. Yes people should not expose really good tricks that magicians like Criss Angle or other popular magicians use but what about those little kids that are just looking for inspiration. A few years ago I was about 11 and just getting into magic. I mean I was still in 6th grade and didnt have a penny to spend. Im still not old enough for a job to buy tricks but I make up tricks and use birthday money for tricks. Its the free that got me started.

Oh, my bad:) I usually just go through videos posting that response! Rock on dude:D If they can stop people from revealing tricks on youtube, it will be that much better. Professionals worked hard on those tricks and then these people just give it all away. Magic is supposed to be mysterious, not just simple tricks everyone knows. My bad about that, should of watched it first!
