Deion is looking where the ball is going, not going flat out until the end. McCutchen is crazy fast but I think if Deion goes full bore from the start I think he is clearly faster.

When asked, McCutchen just told MLB Tonight that he's been clocked at 4.28 in the 40, but that he believes he's gotten faster since then as he has also become stronger. Many in the Pirates organization and Pittsburgh media observed how Andrew filled out as an adult, just this past year. So who knows how low his 40 time might have dropped by now? I think the ghost of a younger Deion is runnin' scared, but it still ain't fast enough to escape McCutch!

God he is going to be one of the best baseball players in the MLB very very soon. He is already one of the top players in the NL Central, certainly the best CF in the division. Great to have him in Pittsburgh.

They run differently, look at McCutchen when he runs he uses all his energy it appears. Look at Sanders, he just glides and it looks better. McCutchen has speed, but Sanders had a quicker triple (yes he had an advantage hitting lefty) but I think Sanders might not of been running his best, since you can tell he's tracking the ball and not putting all his energy in. Both are great talents, and best of luck to McCutchen in the future. Quickly becoming a favorite of mine, lol.
