Whether you say "Stillers" or "Steelers", or whether or not you say"yinz" depends on what part of the city you grew up in. I always said "Steelers" and never said "yinz". I never "worshed and ahrned mah close" but I have cousins on the Northside or "Nor sahd" who did. If you grew up there you understand "Pittsburghese". Even though I grew up hearing it, I realized it was a unique way of speaking.
truly amazing coach in the space of time hes been with the Steelers.. his command of respect from this team when taking over Cowher was incredible!!! just amazing
@SaMoaSix8Five the strength of the Steelers comes from the Rooney family, they support the coach and not the player unlike most owners. Noll - Cowher - Tomlin. different men but all respected and winners! people wanted a Pittsburgh guy as coach and they got one! Dungy learned from Noll and taught Tomlin! Noll was cold, distant and hard.Cowher was emotional. Tomlin is even keel....I like him! the one constant is the Rooney family! they are awesome!
there's always an argument over who's the best coah: Noll, Cowher, Tomlin. I like 'em all because they're all REAL football coaches and not game mangers like the majority of today's coaches. They each also have a distinct personality: Noll (reserved student of the game), Tomlin (animated players' coach) and Cowher (somewhere in between); But as coaches they all shared the same goal: getting the most out of their players in the most crucial of times.
there will be or ever be another Chuck Noll. Chuck Noll was Chuck Noll. I like Tomlin as Tomlin, he has developed into his own man. but he may just as well be noll in the sense he seems destined to win championships with this team.
C'Mon DUDE!!! it's STEELER!!!!...
