I play this song too, but you are so much better!

    Girl from Norway!

  • this was great! i actually looked this up for a band audition, because i have to play this, and it seems that everyone else does too! great job though, you're amazing!

  • ohmyword. that was absolutely amazing. playing it for band class, and it's just such a fun piece to play. you juss play so well. though, i must say, i didin't really hear much dynamic change. aha. but what do i know? i'm only a freshman in highschool. aha. but, yes, continue wiff your amazing playing. :D

  • very good. ; )

  • :) very good job, but arent you holding the dotted quarter note too long? because doesnt the dotted quarter note and the eighth note have to equal only two beats?

p.s. tell me if im wrong...i just want to make sure because im being tested on this.

  • overall a very nice presentation... i have been working on this piece for a rectal in a few days and you play it very well. However in m.#31 you miscounted a rest and jumper ahead. keep up with the flute dude and good job!

  • awesome!!!!!! i wish i could play this good :))

  • great sound! The only thing is that some of the parts weren;t tongued quite, but thats still amazing!

Fun sounding song and I hope that in the time for my audition that I can play just as well as you did!

    Great job!

  • wow man, you really rock! in a good classical way =) I've been trying to get it up to that tempo, but I haven't been very successful, at least not like you play it

  • Wow! This was amazing! I am trying to learn this peice for a band thing. I needed a recording of it to see if I was playing it correctly. It turns out i was, just not near as fast as you play it. You are absolutely amazing.

  • mmm this a great sonata for Benedetto, but i prefer play this song on a altflute, because, this is the original instrument for play this sonata, but the sound on the flute Trans, its very good, excelent!! and congratulation for your work

  • in measure 2 in this video, did you tongue the 16th notes or slur. i want to kno because my fingers move fast but my tongue doesnt so i have to develop double tonguing. do you know how to double tongue? im having a really hard time.

  • i love playing this song because it is so easy on the fingers that after a month or so i was on muscle memory!!

  • Bravo!!

  • wow. you are really good. the only thing i noticed is that because you played it so fast you didnt tongue some of the parts that were supposed to be tongued. but other than that, it was pretty good!

  • How do you do the trill at 35 seconds? I can't seem to figure it out and I have an audition coming up.

  • For that trill, you might want to try a technique called "half holing" What you'll want to do is hold the key that your first finger on your left hand operates halfway down, while trilling from D to E with the ring finger on your right hand. Don't worry about holding down the Eb key while doing this. I hope this helps:)

  • ahh thanks for posting this

    it helped a lot

    i have this as a solo:\

but i play it like 5x slower

  • i need help with the articulation...how did you get to go so clean at 120?

  • thnx

    that wuz a big help

cuz i gottz to play this for solo n ensemble

  • wow you are so good! how long have you been playing for?

  • that is awesome. Thank you so much for putting this on youtube. I have an audition coming up and i have to play this piece. Once again thank you.

  • nice, now i kno how to play both Sonatas of Marcello's that you have on here for trumpet, i was clueless thnks, its gonna be a bitch to get the allegro goin though...lol

  • collie dude! very livley

  • the trill is from the note above!

  • That's something I've been told is something you do for baroque period music. Is the composer of the tune from that era, because I honestly don't know:)

  • Great job Eric! good to see you again! -Dennis

  • ::grins:: Yeah, I haven't done much lately, my wife and I bought a place, and we've been packing and getting ready to move. It was nice to put something up again:)

  • Very cool! Moving is a great Pain, but also an exciting time. Good luck with the new place. :-)
