  • I can't see what you are doing the beginning twist.

  • Thank you!!! This looks wonderful and relatively easy--especially for someone who doesn't normally crochet or knit.

  • wow i can wait to try this.

  • I learned so much from watching your videos!! You are so blessed!! A great tip I learned while watching a "Hemp cord Video" was, when braiding cords or in this case wire, use a clip board to hold the top together, it made it so much easier and it didn't tangle. leave more wire at the ends of each crocheted strand, you can always cut wire off but you can't add on...lol One more thing is, I used a few odd shaped beads and the look was amazing! I wish I knew how to upload a video or a picture!

  • Love it!!!! Thanks!!!!!

  • I make a lot of various types of Jewelry, crochet included... and I hold my wire ends down with a clipboard. It gives me a flat surface for braiding and it holds the wire in place. It makes it much easier for beginners. This is a great piece. Great video.

  • I have been crocheting for over 20 years but have never ventured, until now, into the world of bead & wire jewelry-making. These designs are so pretty and you would never guess how simple they are to create. I am also crocheting a single strand of embroidery floss alongside the wire, which helps to add a touch of color and charm.Thank you, Karla, and Merry Christmas Everyone!

  • This is really cool and useful.. Thanks!

  • I watched your video after wanting to make my sister something nice for her birthday. I made a pretty similar looking necklace and she loved it. Much better then just buying someting.. Took me like 6 hours till i got something I was happy with:)

Your video helped me a bloody awful lot..

Have you noticed how getting that random look is so hard to achieve!

One slip of concentration and organization slowly creeps back in:)

    Great video..

Oh, and I find you attractive..

    That is all..

  • Very nice... and you make it look so quick and easy. Thanks!

  • NICE!

  • i like it. havent learned crochet yet tho...hopefully someday.

  • Great idea! Thanks for sharing this with us. I've already developed some ideas while watching it to modify the design to my own tastes. I love all your Karla Kam videos... keep 'em coming!

  • ok, why would you say something so mean and hateful? Are you a beader? Do you know us? We work very hard, we are real people trying to get through a tough economy. Are you just extremely childish, or have we done something to you? I try to treat people as I want to be treated. Please think before you do things like this.

  • this comment was for my1995life

  • what? i loved that necklace and ive been watching all those beading videos too since it gives me an inspiration and something fun to do. i wasn't commenting to the video and i thought i left another comment saying it was adorable (but it failed to post i see -.-). I was replying to "r0flpr0" for saying something like 'that necklace looks like shit' and even though it was his oppinion, i bet i shouldve have said that.

I was only commenting to r0flpr0... unless

  • well, you don't know her do you susiebeads???? what right do you have to judge her? has it ever occured to you that she wasn't commenting on the necklace? Ok? My gosh... I apologize for my1995life because I know her, you don't. And I don't think she commented on the necklace, so don't judge her...she's going through tough times too, don't think you're the only, besides her, everyone is...going through so much so I appreciate it, if you kept that to yourself, and it's not hateful either....

  • Thank you very much for the simple, clear instructions. :-)

  • COME BAXK KARLA KAM.WE LOVE THE LOVE YOU GIVE TO US. PLLLLLLLEASE. Oh yeah, you're such a sweet lady..and a beautiful one too.

  • furgerlicious

    Imelda

  • where to buy all the adorable beads in affordable price?

  • Beautiful!!

  • cant wait to statrt beading can anyone suggest a bead shop where i can get all the materials that i will need for this project in the united kingdom at a reasonable prize

  • it's so beautiful !!!

  • Beautiful!

  • Absolutely fabulous. Just made my first one. I learned a lot and is gorgeous as it came out, I know they'll get better and better. Thanks for introducing me to my newest hobby. I just love it.

  • That is awesome. I am so going to try that with a bracelet.

  • This is such a good idea. IT makes glad that I made my mom teach me how to crochet.

By the way your nails are very nice. Couldn't help but notice them in the video.

  • Can someone please tell me what in the world a size I hook is? I've been crocheting for yrs but never heard of letters before when using a hook...?? also what gauge is the wire. I have a few that I have been using but they all seem to be too stiff so I bought somemore that was easier to crochet with but it's not stiff enough to twist at the end which means that I can't use a clasp like the one Karla has, figured it out though. I love the look and what a great way to get rid of my random beads

  • The larger hook are lettered E-Q and she says to use 26g wire. I just started making this necklace and have also used 28g. It's a quick and easy way to use up beads.

  • thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, I find the video very informative.

  • wow! ive been making the single chain necklace for years and kept trying to figure out how to make it thicker.... thanks! I would have never thought of braiding them together.

  • I made the necklace from supplies I had around the house, and it came out darling. I used old craft and beading leftovers (mixed sizes of faux pearls, mixed sizes of gold beads, purple beads and purple tubes...) I was just learning a technique and didn't care so much what the supplies were. It took a little over an hour to make because I used a cheap claw clasp and broke it and had to pull it out and redo it. It came out darling! Who knew such an odd assortment could look so cute!

  • Great Idea, I think this may be my next project. Thanks

  • THANKS

  • Very neat idea! I'm learning to crochet and this looks like a fun project for down the road.

  • I love this idea and it's such a great video!! I just started crocheting and made this no problem. The wire was tricky to start just to figure out exactly how you do crochet with wire ;-)

The necklace was a little big on me, I'm going to cut back on chains and beads next time.

    Thanks again!

  • wow! i'd never thought about crocheting wire before!

  • Wow. I've tried making a crochet necklace before. But it never came out looking as good as yours. You did help me out though on how to put the clasp on.. Thanks. Great video by the way.

  • Oh, i really love this necklace... it gets my mind in 'creative mode'.

Thank you so much for all of your clear tutorials... i love them all.

  • excellent!

  • holy cow.. karla that is awsome.. brenda

  • i just made a necklace using 26 gauge silver coated copper wire..

I am pretty pleased with the results!

this wire I really wouldn't reccomend..it's kinda a pain to work with

  • I'd never heard of crocheting with wire. This is a fascinating technique! Thanks for the clear explanation and the good filming!

  • Karla, I love all of your videos. And this one is just perfect help! Thank you so much

  • Excellent vid! Gotta try that one!

  • You are awesome Karla.

    Thanks for the video.

    xoxo Selma.

  • Excellent...Thanks :)

  • anyone know how many yards it takes for one necklace?

  • great video, I have just started crocheting with wire and beads! I love it! :)

  • wow that's really pretty! i haven't crocheted with wire yet.. i should try this out :)

  • awsome, karla kam..thanks a lot!

  • good

  • Also, can you tell me how long approx. this necklace is... I need to make this at least 22' long.

  • Thanx so much for posting this video... I love the necklace especially since I crochet. I was wondering if I could use a 24 gauge instead... my closest craft place is walmart and that is the only size they had. Thanks so much for this lovely free pattern!

  • I don't know about the 24 gauge wire, but I've tried this project using 22 gauge wire and
