People never lived as long they did as they do today which is why we see overpopulation and overconsumption problems occurring. You use technology everyday, it is just an inevitable part of cultural evolution. All species do what is necessary to proliferate and technology and medicine DOES help. Modern medicine keeps us on a dependency streak that is true but it actually HAS made us live longer, people during biblical times lived on average 20 years less than they do now. It's a show fact.
