My Name Is Bruce is just as much of a joke about the fans as it is Bruce. The movie is supposed to be outrageous. Some of it's based loosely on truth (as Bruce mentions in the commentary), but at the end of the day it's just a movie. It's not meant to be taken seriously.

I love Bruce, and honestly I found this movie hilarious. Not humbling or heartbreaking.
