@DirectorInLabor maybe ur right but i think its very fun to acomplish v16, to be known around the world, to win a lot of titles to be the best dont u think?
@shaharakirav Yeah, that would be fun, but the training this guy is doing doesn't look like fun at all. But maybe I'm wrong, I just know I'd get freakin' tired!
@DirectorInLabor u are right i would hate this trainings lol but im working hard as i can cause i dont have much time and when i acomplish something new its great
No rest day for 3 months... That has to be hell on your body. I mean, sure he does amazing things, but later in life it may have many adverse effects on him. Either way, this is CRAZY. Very impressive, but CRAZY. I think I prefer the training method of other climbers.
I don't know anything about indoor climbing but I'm surprised to hear that a top competitor trains 7 days a week for several weeks on end. Doesn't the body need more time to rest and repair itself than a good nights sleep?
@qwaszx3561 this guy was the first person in Climbing History to Onsight a 5.14c. And the guy strolls 5.15a. And you want to tell him how to train? You're an Idiot!
@qwaszx3561 To a point you are right. That being said this guys has a fucking monster base. If you have been climbing for a year, yes you need rest days. This guys base is big as fuck though, he doesnt need the rest days.
wow....i started climbing because i thought it was amazingly enjoyable and an adrenaline rush as well watching the humbled and simple lifestyles of climbers like dave graham and sharma and feeling inspired to be that happy with life. I guess everything fun can be turned into something painful...
@unchapulin , I dont speak english very well, but I'll try:
"Mi training is very scientific, I live for climbing, I love training. I never get out from the planning and all the objetives are insinde the plans and.... when i can´t get up from the bed... Is a hard way to be the best, but its a sacrifice. When I´m preparing for competitions with many time, I train 7 days per week. I do the power-training there, with a 3, 4 or 5 kg jacket. Anyone who trains could get his objetives, I think....
@anderillo1 .... I think the secret is in the head of each one, anyone can train, to be the best or not is inside each person. The training totally breaks me, and sometimes i finish the training dead."
This is the translation. This video is made with parts of a longer video, and that because some phrases have no sense.
Climbing to me is about evolving. Getting stronger. Being able to Train and do tomorrow what I failed to do today. To be able to climb to the top of the Hardest climbs I can possibly climb. And the harder the better. [Ultimate Goal, to be able to climb things No One else can climb.] (ok, i am dreaming here) getting stronger, and just improving in any/every way one can. And most people probably thing along the same lines. To me this guy IS what it's all about! Nice video!!
Any world champion wants the win really bad. He's no exception. Anyone who is willing to put in the most time and tenacity deserves to win. I believe that outdoor climbing is not about winning, but it's fair game for competitions.
@WeBeChillin420 I think what Chrispy ment-with what I agree with- is that climbing is not about wining a championship. It is about becoming better at climbing. Patxi wants to be a champion, win a title, Sharma wants to climb the hardest route without wanting to be respected for it.
thank god i'm talented.

Shouldn't climbing be about the fun of it? I mean, I don't care what I'm winning. I'd rather climb a fun V3 than a boring V16 any day.
