  • It's so beautiful. Thank you. I keep returning to it and it always stirs me deeply.

  • the 3 girls in the video grow up in my home town Castlegar BC Canada or at less one of them did if i remember vary nice girls

  • my favoriate band.....i just love these girls. They just ROCK!

  • That permanent Yahoo ad is really gross. Fucks up a beautiful video.

  • That permanent Yahoo ad is really gross.

  • Frazey's solo Cd is amazing. It's called 'Obadiah'.

  • Superb song - I never knew it had a vid., let alone a lovely one like this. Great group obviously; should have been, should be much more widely known.

  • It's not happening for 15 soulless people.

  • They are at the Winnipeg Folk Festival,in July.Tell anybody you know up that way. It`s their first date since '08 !!

  • Absolutley underated, but also under-produced and very much under promoted. It takes more than raw talent, sadly. But if you're lucky and get to hear them, then you are lucky!

  • Wonderful video. Thanks so much..!

  • These gals and Great Lake Swimmers are two of the most talented and soulful bands I've heard in a long while that are terribly, terribly, underrated. Heavenly...

  • Norwegian female group Katzenjammer Rougher version of Be Good Tanyas?

    They are both good.

  • 14 people (and we can feel free to call Les Misérables) with no soul sad :(

  • my kind of girls.

  • FACT>>>Lady Gaga would have to climb on her momma's shoulders just to kiss Frazey's butt.

  • @BGwinetteMulroney1 It`s nice to get the facts.

  • @BGwinetteMulroney1 that would be an offence to Frazeys Butt lol

  • I love her voice!

  • Simply the best, so beautiful.

  • Probably one of my favorites! Love the passion. Curious about the lack of smiles. Pretty girls' like this wear them easily. Perhaps, part of their message. However...GREAT!

  • yeah, they seem kinda miserable. joy vibe: it's not happening. i've seen them live a couple of times, its the same scenario. the lead singer = scary vibe.

  • Enough with the no smiles discussion !...Bob Dylan wasn`t exactly a laugh a minute...Nobody said "smile more,Bob"...The music requires a certain feel and they take it seriously...like good musicians do.

  • I love them too.

  • I love the vintage wardrobe, and the clips. They add a another layer to the feel. LOVE the scene with the girl hanging her lingerie, not sure why but thaat image sticks with me. Reminds me of a bathroom in a really old house we used to stay in as a child, a relatives. That's what makes art work, bringing emotions out-memories, desires, whatever. Anyway,lol....I love this video.

  • They are so good, No one even knows about them ? :( love em

  • IM in love with them. Im here in tiny New Zealand and well, they give me soooo much nostalgia. I wish i was like them. Definately one of my favourite groups

  • Hell yes, no words, brain melted, pure awesomeness

  • I've seen them live twice. The first time in North Carolina at a music festival and the second time on their Chinatown tour at the Iota Club in Virginia. They are fantastic and so sweet. They are truly my favorite group and I can't wait to see them play again.

  • How on earth these girls are not massive beats me. Absolute talent so beautiful to listen to. Should like to see them live. Sam Parton is a fox.

  • Appreciate the fact there not overly massive in music entertainment

becuase if they were, they wouldnt be as special now would they :]

  • @robsdad --because no one in Canada has a clue how to promote good artists--they sing better than the dixie chicks and are better songwriters-so now the band is no longer a band--it boggles my mind in so many ways--by the way i am CANADIAN!

  • Comment removed

  • @tervivjerbry do you think the US has any more of a clue on how to promote good music? that has very little to do with it. the reason a band as good as TBGT does not explode onto the scene has almost everything to do with the fact that its not popular music. this is considered boring to the target audience. it really only sells amongst the small group of intellectuals that still remains. its sad, but its just how the music industry works these days, regardless of where they're from.

  • yay

  • A musica deste grupo, é lindissima...

    faz bem à alma...alivia dores...

    lol

  • i spy geoff berner!

  • Great. I really like them. -Ron

  • Very beautiful!!

    thank you

  • This is so very beautiful...

  • well... I feel like I'm back home when I was a child, opening the doors of my grandma's and grandpa's secret places, filled up with a thousand of memories! This song is wonderful!!

  • Don't get the part about the hula hoops, bicycle, or the kids on the bridge, but I guess that's part of the song. I must admit Canadians have a "different" way of presenting songs to their audiences.

  • There WERE no panty hose in the 40's when this was supposed to be. There was a WAR on and... wait a minute.... there were no silk stockings either.... silk went for parachutes. The Line gave the illusion of stockings. had nothing to do with "class". 'breeze

  • Yeah the paint line was a sort of "show of support" for the war and troops.

  • @ 2:16 is she supposed to be like a 1930's woman? drawing the panty hose line on her leg?

  • that's what i figured it as...seeing as then the lower class women drew a line for the pany hose seam....

  • Women drew lines on their legs during the war era since all material for stockings went to the war effort (silk and nylon).

It was during this period that first the line went away as women just got tired of doing it and then when the war was over many women didn't go back to wearing stockings at all. The 50's saw women starting to wear pants as well also due to the habit women got into when working in factories while men went off to war. Aint' war grand giving us bare legs and women in pants!

  • worship, agreed.

  • worship

  • Great song and extraordinary video. The Be Good Tanyas are geniuses. One thing:

I would like to see again the very lovely woman depicted about two minutes and ten seconds into the video, who, while seated in a chair, is painting a seam onto the back of her right calve. She's easily one of the most radiant people I've ever seen.

  • wow they are so beautiful <3

  • ty for sending me this link, my sweet friend, xoxo's

  • why we don't know her in europe? or just me?

  • Just gorgeous. I also love their version of the "Jt and the Clouds" song Scattered leaves performed on Jools Holland.

  • Friggin' love this band and this song. Their songs give me the greatest feeling... When songs can take you to another place and time, and make you really feel like you're there living it, that's classic music. This definitely is. =D

  • think they're all amazing and very talented.. love this song :)

  • I love this band. I would also have to disagree with the person who said Frazy sounds like Dolly Parton. LOL! I find Dolly's voice irritated, sickeningly sweet and insipid. She is also marketed in such a pre packaged country music t.v. manner that I can't seem to get past. These girls, are more folk, blues and bluegrass with other small doses of ethnic music mixed in. WONDERFUL and refreshing to them just being REAL. AMEN TANYAS! UNIQUE and inspiring. Frazy's voice is her own.

  • hey if you liked this video, watch the one where they preform on the Jools Holland show. these girls are so unique and classical, you become adictted to their talent. hopefully they'll preform at the Calgary folk festival, or on any show for that matter, i'd love to see them live.

  • Frazey sounds like a modern day dolly parton, interesting how sounds come back

  • sorry IDIDPERI, but i'm going to have to disagree. i think that Dolly sang higher and faster voice. she does remind me of a traditional folk singer but i just can't remember whom. Frazey still is very beautiful to see and hear.

  • ERRRR,,, MODERN DAY

  • I love this band... Its absolutely fantastic... Listened primarily to rock the last 29 years... Could never stand country... these girls are NOT country! (not modern country anyway) This is Roots, Folk, Bluegrass, Rock at itrs finest... the simpliciy and airiness of the music makes it a breath of fresh air... And Frazey Ford has a beautifully unique voice!

  • I love these girls but they are riding that wave....I'm watching ecstasy!

  • Once again, as always! Awesome!

  • where did you see them? and what did they do on their preformance? for me, just seeing the way they act on the videos is so natural and fluid that really makes you want to see them live where ever they might be

  • Great, simple tunes performed beautifully by this talented trio. Have seen them every time they visit the UK. They are great at engaging the audience. You leave the gig feeling the world is indeed a better place.

  • these are very attractive and talented. i love there care free classic style of preforming. does anybody know if and when they might be in Calgary? i'd love to see them live

  • Bloody fantastic . just love these girls.

  • I find them attractive, too. :D

  • Is it only me that finds them attractive ?

  • Just saw them two nights ago in Edinburgh/Scotland, great band.

  • Nice cameo's by Bocephus King, Geoff Berner, and Andrew Burden...

  • Fantastic

  • love it

  • I saw them in Vancouver last year, they were great!

  • they're great!

  • you're such a retard

  • yep. . .sweet, wonderful stuff!

  • I heard these ladies playing on NPR in NYC. They were great live. Thanks for posting!

  • I wish they'd come to a town near me....Trenton Ont. Canada.

  • Dude, they were just in Toronto... unfortunately, I was distracted by the opening of the new Mill St brew pub so I missed the show.

  • This band reminds me that I love the music being made these days. So not everything in the world is a mess.
