I remember the days (1996) my husband had to call people on defaulted loans. there were ALWAYS elderly women who could not make a payment because they had to pay their tithe. Their names went to collection...so sad. People need to understand that they have to be a good witness. Not paying your bills is not being a good witness. I've never paid 10% of my income to anybody and the Sovereign Father sees that all my needs are met!

Excellent video series. It's been my experience too that tithing is a curse and a bondage to those who practise it, as well as being a cause for division in the church.

How absurd too, the notion that a loving father would threaten to withhold blessings from his child unless the child first paid him a bribe! Yet this is what false tithe teachers teach!

Maybe if people started to reread the bible about the tithes they would know it was never about money and stop relying on just what their pastors/ministers say and take it for gospel. To me thats just laziness. We are called to test everything we hear Acts17;10-11.search the scriptures, I wised up wen i did and it was a blessing.

Ok to tell the truth a friend of mine sent me this link saying you go into scripture but i heard not one, just opinions. do you have a video with scriptures as to why we don't have to pay tithes. i would love to know about what happened to the lady who had her house foreclosed on to this day.

I'm actually going to take the time to review the scriptural evidence as I've not dug in this category of drama yet but it seems to be an increasing issue among us

That's pretty much what their book does, too. I paid $12.95 for it (+3.95 s&h) from amazon.com (the only place to buy it, apparently). And what I read was 75 pages of opinion with almost NO scripture.

I agree with their opinion, but I was sad to see almost nothing to back it up.

The scriptures cited in the book support the FACT (not opinion) that ancient Israel (not Christians) were the only people in the Bible that were commanded to tithe. There are many people who are confused about tithing. So the book presents the biblical truth about tithing in a clear, concise and straight-forward manner.

To make my position clear, I know that the Tithe as the Church teaches is a lie.

Lev 27:30,32 clearly define that the Tithe was food. Lev 27:34 plainly says that the Tithe was a command from God for the Israelites. Deu 26:12 tells us who received the Tithes. Matthew 23:23 tells us that the Tithe was part of the law.

I was a bit disappointed in your book and said so on your website as the user Wes. But I do applaud you for seeing the truth that we do not and cannot Tithe.

@blueskunk12 Saying there's NO scriptural support in the book is not accurate. There are approximately 75 biblical verses cited/referenced in the book. Furthermore, the book is NOT 75 pages of opinion. Specifically, part 2 & 3 of the book explains/clarifies tithing/tithing-related issues using biblical scriptures. The truth in this book is simple and helps breaks the cycle of confusion. Many people who've read the book now have a TRUE understanding of biblical tithing. That's what's important.

I agree. I purchased her book last summer, and I was pleased and edified. She did a pretty good job with citing scripture to support her stance. I had no complaints.

we give to the things of GOD? the bible says to be a friend of the world is to be an enemy of GOD, do we not owe everything to GOD. the bible also say's to put your seed into good ground, and that you would know the tree by the fruit that it bears.

giving the last of your money or bill money is a sign of faith, if one does not truly

I believe tithing is what one is willing to give. What one can give without hurting themselves and /or their families. If I were living below the poverty level. I would go to that pastor and ask him/her for some tithing in my direction.

@PentacostalPreacher: Excellent repose! My problem with this whole issue is that we have been psychologically duped into referring to tithes and offerings only in terms of money. People should be able to give whatever they want to give such as: boats cars gold silver napkins, paper towels cakes pies toys refrigerators bicycles motorcycles, books, their time, their talents, great advise, the imparting of spiritual gifts, clothes laundry soap jewelry, etc... WITH NO GUILT ATTACHED WHATSOEVER!

...and where is the church that this woman was paying tithes to? Where were they? Did they step up and help her keep her home? Something tells me that they did not. This is the sad tragedy of this false doctrine, people pay their money into these ministries and get nothing out of them, even though the tithe was meant to do just that, help the Saints in time of need.

People are afraid to talk about it because besides fear of wrath, they're afraid they're going to mess up a supposed promised blessing. The harder times get the more you think that the blessing is closer and satan knows it and he's just trying to stop you. It's a very serious issue.
