Jhureina, your correct. Drawers were a thing that came when women began wearing hoops in the 1850's. How embarrassing it might be to catch your hoop against something and the front or back lift up, exposing everything for the world to see! Before that, depending on the station, women sometimes only wore stockings and a long chemise for modesty. Pantalettes or pantaloons was a thing for children (boys included until the age of 3-5). :-)

Great video! Only one thing...ladies wore drawers. Pantalettes were just for children, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

AWESOME!!! So very, very nice to see there are people who research and portray a correct impression, from the clothing, corded petticoat, corset, day cap, hairstyle, quilt and children's wear down to the transferware dishes! With nary a coke can in sight! Huzzah!! Thought I'd died and gone to heaven...and by the way your children are beautiful! Wish all reenactors had your devotion.
