I remember this, I went with my father to buy a generator out of a tractor trailer at 3am lol it felt like a black market deal. Paid cash to some weird guy in his peterbuilt. I think we were without power for 3weeks or more. Walmart shelfs were empty. It was like the end of days.
@neilfaz10000 no it doesnt we just have really weird weather sometimes, luckly my powers didnt go out, the down side all my friends were at my house...
I was helping pull a damn tree off a rock wall, but the thing slide and hit me, then fell and broke my foot. My steel toe boot saved my life -walmart brand of all things.
wow it's horrible to look back on that 2 weeks of hell and now people are saying it looks like it's gonna be the same if not worse this year i hope it's nothing compared to that my family and i are prepared those have been saving up things since that happened just incase
it was all so beautiful until you actualy noticed how many people were dieing from it. i had power im my house so everyone in my family was at my house.
Wow! I'm from Colorado and I've never seen anything like this with ice. The damage is however comparable the hurricanes where I live now in Florida. I bet the gas stations were empty for weeks. Are you guys somewhat back to normal now?
we actually started getting fuel in about day 5 kerosene was almost impossuble to get for heat . back to normal now billions of dollars in cleanup . we have over 600 lbs of broken limbs in our yard alone ...massive destruction to structures and power lines it was crazy ....

That ice storm sucked! 16 days without power. The town was eerily quiet , except the sounds of generators and chainsaws. And of course falling trees!
