  • Aloe is a great laxative, moisturizer, and antibiotic.

Why buy it when their "pups" grow like weeds? Just plunge 'em in the ground, and you'll be amazed at how fast they self-propagate.

  • Aloe is not good to ingest! Only for outside the body purposes!!

  • i know that there are hundreds of different types of aloe vera plants...are they all safe to eat or in this case drink??? i dont wanna go buy a plant at walmart or something and have it poison me! lol you know??? just want to make sure.

  • I kike that you spent some time feeling the aloe and exploring it.

  • That's a fifteen-incher you have there, madam.

  • Actually, when you break off a piece of Aloe, this yellow substance will seep out. It's a little bitter, but you don't need to eat it :P. Also, the yellow stuff is what acts as a laxative...rofl so make sure to wash it off before eating, unless you need it :D

  • @Blooberry95 OH LOL.... thank you for that advice.

  • nice video cheers from melbourne australia

  • The other day I just cut off a piece of the aloe with the skin and all and put it in my smoothie...it made it bitter but I got it down.

  • thats a big ass aloe vera ahahahahahahahahhaahhahahaa

  • i like ur tattoo and thanks for posting up this video =] ps nice background music

  • do you wash the aloe vera after you apply it to your face?

  • Instead of washing the gel, you cut off the edges of the aloe leaf and let it sit for a while, and a "sap" will drip out from it. This "sap" is what causes diarrhea. You don't need it to experience the nutritional benefits.

  • @ocdan that sap i used to cover up wounds and scabs. makes a great sealant and moisturizer for the scab too. of course, it has its healing nutrients in it too. the best thing u can put on a new cut or skin abrasion is the yellow sap from a freshly cut aloe leaf. i just did and it helps stop the oozing.

  • does it have to be that kind of aloe plant or the smaller ones will work too?

  • Hi,I didn't know that you can buy the leaves only instead of a whole aloe vera plant.I have a small aloe plant that i got from someone but i'll like to buy some big leaves like that.Where you can buy the leaves please? I'm going to use it on my curly hair=).

  • I get mine at Market Basket Demoulas. Google it maybe you have one near by. If not I would try an ethnic store like an Indian or Central American convenient store. I also heard that specialty stores like wholefoods can order it for you but that will be pricey. I would first try Market Basket. Mine has them for 99 cents.

  • Thanks for the info=).Wow only 99 cents.

  • Good luck I hope you can find them =) when i go I get 5 of em :)

  • lol the inside looks like a jelly fish :P

  • Hey Lady! I lived in Venezuela for a year... there was SO much aloe there in the open markets. I can't believe how big it can grow! Branches as big as my arm. People there make juice with it for cleansing and detox, usually with pinapple juice to cover the taste. It supposed to be good for skin, inside and out, and bowel regularity, but it can also potentially affect your menstral cycle. Venezuelan women are beautiful... so there you go! Keep it up! - New Raw Foodie Girl, MN

  • Youre playing Devendra Banhart in the back...KUDOS

  • devendra way upgrades what i thought music was/could do!

  • @Rawmodel yea! lol great song

  • Im not sure what type of aloe that is, but here in the Bahamas, we grow our own and it is the most bitter thing you have ever tasted....I assure you, you would not be able to use that much natural aloe in a smoothie and not be able to taste it...

  • maybe the more msm in the aloe the more bitter it is. I remember that smoothie not being bitter though every time since there has been a strong taste of bitter. so I'll guess it was a one time thing. how awesome that you grow aloe!

  • I'm not surewhat msm is....I have also heard the whole leaf is best...i'm no expert, but i think you were slightly incorrect when you say the skin serves as a laxative...it definitely aids in the digestion and elimination process...I think the word "laxative" gives off the wrong impression as if it will have you running to the bathroom...I don't find that to be the case...Where did you buy it from?

  • mexican store, not the best ever. I'm working somewhere where we'll be ordering organic! so I'm upgrading.

  • @24Adrian24

The yellow sap is what contains the laxative, by rinsing the plant it removes the sap.

  • It looks a lot like cactus.

  • same family right?

  • I was thinking that.

  • no apparently its not a cactus. its a "suculent" whatever that is...

  • wat was that brown stuff u put into it?

  • cacao?

  • I WANNA SEE YOU DRINK YAGER AND REDBULL

  • okay child you've got my attention, what else? I love you

  • Love how you just but that blender to your head and drank. No airs or graces, just pure enjoyment. Thank you

  • how long have you been on the raw vegan lifestyle?

  • I luv ur vids I actually just got an aloe leaf like that the other day for the first time and I rinsed the aloe fillet but if I knew it had laxative properties i would have not rinsed. I added it to my green smoothie. What as the other stuff u put in? the stuff in the bags?
