I've got a standard Dana model. That tri-force pickup is bitchin. Strangest guitar I've ever had an I got it for free. Some guy was moving from an apartment and said "Hey you want some free stuff?" There was the Alvarez... The wiring inside was completely annihilated and it took me a couple years to find someone that could wire it up for me. Clean clean clean clean clean sound... No mud when in overdrive either. Has locking Floyd Rose as well and never goes out of tune. Pick one up if you can...
Don't bother reponding , since you didn't know anything either as per your respond to my comment " looks great , what else would you need to know " what kind of shit is that . How about the feel of the neck , action , weight of the body , differant tones you can get with pickup settings etc . FSH
@powerman5000ca I've had mine since 1993. Fun guitars. The second knob is not tone it mixes in the pre-amped signal which fattens the tone hugely. It has a great distorted tone with stuff like pinch harmonics really singing.
The clean tone is nothing to write home about.
Neck is pretty good. Quite thin and a short scale length so comfortable to play for long periods. Obviously action is a function of setup but mine is fine and low. The body is VERY lightweight but the sustain is excellent.
Should of had someone actually playing it to demonstrate it's capabilities instead of someone just wanging on it making a bunch of harmonic wammy noises .
I left this just the way I came in , not knowing crap about the instrument .
I first saw your guitar on ebay and liked the unique look but I have had strap malfunction before and was wondering about durability because accidents will and have happened.
YEah, I wish I still had this one. the neck was fine, if you can find one, get it. they set up nicely and play like butter. Thanks for checkin it out. P.S. I never dropped it so I'm not sure how it would take something like that.
The scoop is not in the same league for silliness tho.
A truly fantastic guitar with a short guage length so easy bending and whammy work - Fantastic neck for shreddy stuff and the active circuitry makes for a tone that is nothing less than wild.
A truly amazing guitar if you want a reliable LOUD shred guitar for stage work. If you want a subdued guitar with a nice clean tone there are better options out there.
The 2nd most charismatic guitar I own after my 67' arbiter soundmaster vn2 which is tottally unusable in a live contaxt due to chrome scratchplates and a huge amounts of void under them and the alsmost completely microphonic pickups.
It's possible to shout into the vn2 and and understand the output thru the amp. :-)
@edshift
Thanks for the Details

Looks neat but the neck connection area seems like it would be weakened because of the cut, just my opinion.

Hate the reverse comment situation.
(Comment too long - Go down 4 comments to read properly ini reverse order... - sry)
The harmonic boost will overdrive almost any conservative amps input stage (but you can always dial it back...)
A great rock guitar with the best stage presence of any guitar I've ever seen.
Gratz - Big Props for the Dana Scoop - A Quirky Classic.

It's silly but I love it.

Got one of these - One trick pony - but I've never owned a guitar with easier access to pinch harmonics.
And it looks so cool in a live situation.
Your playing had me thinking of Eddie van halen in a big way.
Perhaps this Guitar is more suited to a more metal sound.
