Hey guys, thanks for all the great comments! I truly do appreciate it.  For those of you wondering how to do it...it's been almost 5 years (I think) since I did this so I don't truly remember how I did it. I do know that there was a little bit of tricking the system to let me put the camera anywhere I wanted. There are tutorials all over the internet for doing machinima with the sims. I'm sure the Sims 3 has much more robust video integration. Good luck to you all.

I'm a casual sims player, but how do you do something like this? Can you direct them, or just do a series of actions and hope you get the camera/angles and actions you need? Ah man, I'm such a n00b.

Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C during game play to display the console window

use this code:

boolprop testingcheatsenabled true

then right click on the plumbob and click on force error and delete

They won't allow me to put in a URL but if you go to Sims99 they have a forum with lots of help with cheats.
