$200? I own its big brother, the C60, and I guess that model must have been more like $350. Eeks! But, 6.5" woofers, cone tweets, 5 watts per channel, Dolby + logic controls, and pretty sensitive speakers. It might look dorky over the shoulder, but one can seriously hear it from a block away. Made in Japan and weighs almost twenty pounds.
i wish i could go back in time and bring my ipod touch and my blackberry tour and my 52 inch lcd tv with a built in dvd player and my bluray player and my computer and laptop wow the people would be so amazed!! oh and take my 94 chrysler and 2010 mazda 3
Almost no use of CGI graphics, so advertisers had to be somewhat honest. Today most advertisements are just flashy shiney rollercoaster rides using computer graphics. Another reason to stop watching TV!
@szashnia well i cant agree more I hate TV it fuckin sucks unless im learning something by watching national Geographic, discovery, etc. My tv is on my wall and not connected to an arial i disagree with paying for a tv license in the uk £120 a yr fook that
In the broadcast industry Betamax tapes were standard until the revolution to hard-drive about 5 years ago. It shocked me.. but, I understood why.. the tape was wider... better video quality than VHS.. but, on the consumer end VHS won out instead.
199.97 for that nifty stereo that you can now buy in any thrift store for 3 dollars...let this be a warning to all people that are rushing out to buy overpriced 'iphones'...

The broadcast industry never used Betamax.
They did, however, use Betacam, which was based on Betamax, but that's still a different format in enough ways that they are not compatible.
A Betacam cassette is mechanically compatible with a Betamax VCR, but that's about it.
To give you an example, an L-750 cassette gives you three hours on Betamax, but only 30 minutes on Betacam.

It's funny how you never forget these old commercials even after 23 or more years. Seems like yesterday when they were new.
