The game is actually a lot less scary then it looks. Its just a surprise fest, ghosts and paranormal creatures jumping on you from every which way, and the occasional appearance of Alma. The first time she spooks you you'll feel like jumping from your chair, but with time, her moves become predictable up to the point where it becomes more of an annoyance then a scare.

That said, this is a VERY good FPS, best that I've played in quite a while.
