  • Myshkin is a loser.

  • Homage - 30.October(1821-1881) was born FJODOR MIHAILOVIČ DOSTOJEVSKIJ - Immortal Russian Novelist, who influenced all modern literature.

  • This is the best adaptation ever. Fantastic casting.

  • aglaya is mi waifu ugguu~

  • Best writer ever!

  • Is it only me that notice how people fix both their eyes on each of the person eyes that they are looking at, and then vice versa in a quick sucession? It looks really weird, BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH.

  • The prince could be played b Quentin Tarantino.

  • @FatherWarhol

with tarantino in the role of the prince a movie would have a completely different look. i don't say it's bad, i even think it would be interesting to see. but i think something important will be missing.

  • i've read the book and it was amazing tbh my favorite characters were ippolit and keller are they in this movie?

  • @dangerminks1

the movie is done by the book, meaning the director didn't cut anything off from the book.

  • is there an english version?

  • @dangerminks1

no :( as far as i know

  • This is a great book indeed. Oh, Birubirfilms, where art thou, Birubirfilms?

  • There shouldn't be a movie about such a beautiful book. No director on earth could capture the character of Prince Myshkin in the way Dostoevsky presented him to us.

  • The film is actually good. Well, not the film, but Evgeny Mirinov (Myshkin).

  • Tarkovsky might have done a good job. He was interested in filming a version of it. Watch his "Andrei Rublev" to see his power as an artist. The young Solonitsyin, who plays Rublev in that, a not-disimilar character, could have done a fine Myshkin.

  • I think they did a good job.

  • have you watched the series goddammit? its great. the vid here is from that series. watch first.

  • @deliibrahim19 where can i find it online? (except on veoh.com, which can't be opened where i am right now) i've been looking for this series for a long time

  • break a leg! dostoyevsky is the best!

  • какая истина!

  • кстати.. изобревший гильотину врач был казнен с ее же помощью.

  • ирония судьбы :)

  • одна из лучших сцен.

  • Are there any clips of the final scene in Rogozhin's bedroom?

  • yeah, there are two parts. you can type Евгений Миронов & Владимир Машков в фильме "Идиот" in the search bar on youtube

  • I think it's the moment when Myshkin arrives in Sint Petersburg and went to General Yepanchin House and involved in a conversation with the lackey of Yepanchins.

  • yes. exactly that moment. it's when myshkin talks about execution.

  • Its really worth watching.

It's not a movie, but a serie. It has about 10 episodes, each one 1,5h long.

It's played in polish TV last year.. between 2-3 AM. It's insane that people can't watch this kind of art in normal tv, at normal time..

  • God, I'd love to see this whole movie. Wish it was available somewhere!

  • i'm sure you can download it from emule or something.
