Is it only me that notice how people fix both their eyes on each of the person eyes that they are looking at, and then vice versa in a quick sucession? It looks really weird, BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH.

with tarantino in the role of the prince a movie would have a completely different look. i don't say it's bad, i even think it would be interesting to see. but i think something important will be missing.

There shouldn't be a movie about such a beautiful book. No director on earth could capture the character of Prince Myshkin in the way Dostoevsky presented him to us.

The film is actually good. Well, not the film, but Evgeny Mirinov (Myshkin).

Tarkovsky might have done a good job. He was interested in filming a version of it. Watch his "Andrei Rublev" to see his power as an artist. The young Solonitsyin, who plays Rublev in that, a not-disimilar character, could have done a fine Myshkin.

Its really worth watching.

It's not a movie, but a serie. It has about 10 episodes, each one 1,5h long.

It's played in polish TV last year.. between 2-3 AM. It's insane that people can't watch this kind of art in normal tv, at normal time..
