@DavePhillips1234 ~Good point, although I don't think it applies in this case. In a sense, the Pilgrims began with a socialist vision in that they intended to cultivate the land (and reap the harvest) collectively. The switch in 1623 is a radical shift towards a more capitalist system of private property. Your point is that in a capitalist system they would have had to pay for the land. But that would have been impossible, because there was no one "owning" it in the first place.
@Objectiview Yes, and most of the world still faces this political issue: millions of acres of land are still in federal hands in the US. Air and water space remain a Tragedy of the Commons. Little imagination is needed, especially with the aid of modern digital technology, such as GPS, to work out ways of establishing initial ownership. This should also be done with all Indian Reservation land, & given to the Indians as multiple, small 'starter' parcels.
You're right about how murderous they were, but not if one goes by books written after ~1970. Modern Indians choose only to believe the recent rewrites of history, but if one reads just a few of the hundreds of first hand accounts from the 1700s, the Indians were insanely vicious. E.g. they did NOT learn scalping from Europeans!
There are exceptions, such as Pocahontas & Sacajawea (I cannot think of a male Indian here), who should be lauded.

@RnBramwell Fuck the indians. I mean really, they were the biggest murders and rapists of them all. Barbarians.
