adding points in holyshield and leaving smite at one will do more smite damage. It just doesn't show. That's why foh/smite chars have lvl 1 smite and max holyshield

There is no point maxing smite or even making a vanquisher, you might as well just use the standard hammerdin build and remaining points should go into charge as you have already maxed vigor to power up hammers and vigor is going to give a good bonus to charge, and on switch it may be good to put cta into a berserker axe as cta gives enhanced damage with the shield phoenix for even more ed, equipment is variable.

You obviously don't have much pvp experience if you discard smite. Smite is the most powerful skill in the game. Smite stuns, knocks back, always hits and is unsorbable. If you go on open bnet, the only way to hurt someone is to smite them.

Charge can be blocked and is attack rating dependent so in most cases it doesn't hit.

Unless you use a botd pike and don't mind dying a lot, charge fails in high end duels.

It's like, if you gain charge dam from using grief, that's great! It's like a bonus along the way. But the main point was to max smite.

this for pvp or pvm? I made a vanquisher a little different. Currently level 94 maxed smite, holy shield, hammers, fanaticism have 9 or 10 in vigor and blessed aim and 2 in concentration, 1 in zeal.+11 to all skill with charms etc. I added 1 in zeal at level 91 cause I was bored with smiting things unless they were immuned to phy bust out the hammers. Using either enigma/COH, Lastwish, Exile, isted shako, gore's, vendungo's, venom grip, raven frost, dward, highlords, HOZ and CTA on switch.

@ProxySpam not quite that much right now Smite after bo is 2136-2993, zeal is 1875-2188 (5 hits) and hammers are 2693-2723 definitely not a PvP character at least vs someone who knows what they are doing. But PvM No problem in uber Trist. I find with most characters in PvM once you break the 1000hp mark it's cake walk. other Characters I have are a 82 sorc fireball 4855-5326 Blizzard 2230-2336 and a 80 assassin attack 788-1072, death sentry 1-1951, fireblast 1702-2072.

For the bk health, my previous formula made it clear:

(2250 x 1.89) + 45 = 4298 life

The 45 is added to the boed life ofc. 45 life is 2% of base life. What you did was say that the 189% life was actually 100% so 2%/1.89 = 1.1%

This is because you assumed that the life after bo is 100%. It is not 100% it is 189% because bo adds 89% life. You would have a lot of trouble playing in open if you consider your life after %elife as being 100% life. In open I build a clone with..lets say 6500% life.

Let's say I have 3,500,000 life, I find the base life by:

3,500,000 - max life - (x * %elife)/100 say I get 56,744 life.

If your clone has 1,700 life in excess and has no max life or life on lvl (bad idea in open) and you want to remove 1,700 life to fix the break points, you simply do:

56,744 x X = 1,700

x = 0.03 = 3%

So you remove 3% enhanced life mod on one of your items.

If you had considered your 3,500,000 to be 100%, the 1,700 life would have been 0.05%. Makes no sense.

For smite...I chose random smite levels...doesn't matter because the proportions are the same. You can put 315% instead of 400, doesn't matter, the result will be, with hs ur smite dam is low.

Any % to life is applied on base life, not on max life. If you apply life % on max life like you just did, it is wrong.

+1 bo adds 3% life according to skill tree formulas. It is not 1-1.5%.

No, 20dex equals to 115 max life had those points be spent into vita. Relying on raven dex to have max block is not an option because when you use sorb your block will decrease by approximately 10%.

The chars I charge have under 1k defense, I have no problem hitting those and don't need more ar.

Like, if you got 2250 life before bo without any %life on your gear, and you lvl18 bo, your life is:

2250 x 1.86 = 4185 life

Now if you add a bk:

(2250 x 1.89) + 45 = 4298 life

For the rest of ppl reading this, don't do his mistake, any % life is applied on your base life. Your base life is NOT the life before bo, it's the life before bo AND without any %life on gear such as nigma.

Going from level 25 hs to 45 hs adds 3% block, not 4-5%. If you max hs you lose 500 smite damage:

Max smite: (300%+150%+570%+400%)530 = 7950 dam

Max Hs: (150%+570%+400%)(530 + 80) = 7442 dam

You can't out defense a 35k ar charger by leveling up to 99...it is a fact. The hidden def you get from leveling to 99 is negligible, I'll give you an example:

itube Lvl 66 pally, 35k Ar.

Pub Lvl 66 pally, 8k def

Pub has no shield, has 89% chance to get hit by itube. If Pub levels to 99, his chance to get hit by itube only goes down by a few %. In other words the lvl 66 with 35k ar will kick the shit out of the lvl 99 with 8k def.
