  • No no no no non! I hope you have gotten a better teacher since you have posted this. Also, your shoes don't look like they fit properly. It could just be the camera or it could just be your feet (no offence meant)

  • please go on pointe when you are ready its all most time for me and your putting me off

  • Don't sickle your foot. You could hurt it pretty badly if you went up on pointe like that and your foot rolled over. Try winging it instead.

  • Make sure you snatch out in your echappes from both feet. Close into fifth for every closing and put both heels down or this will cause shin splits! Also try not to jump onto pointe! Don't stop practising! You will be amazing one day :) Have fun xx Love Monique & Julia

  • try not to jump onto point...

  • 0:37 now i am no expert bu you should never do that again!!

    1. you can hurt yourself

    2. its ugly

  • Be careful not to jump onto your platforms, use of the floor is very important. You're sickling your feet, and that's dangerous. You do it most when your warming up, so be careful. You should do some foot and ankle strengthening exercises too.

  • Please don't jump onto pointe like that...it is rilly bad for you

  • @cookiecrumbleheart sickling is when you rest your weighton the small toes instead of the big ones :D

  • what does sickle mean?

  • stop sickling so much!!!!

lol jk i don't know what the fuck sickle means.

  • you need to work on your turn out!!

  • When I got my toe shoes it was a right of passage. I went with my ballet teacher to the best place and was given the best shoes that were fitted for me...it was such an honor and I will never forget that day.

  • grishko 2007's are what i've been wearing for the past 10 years and i think they're great shoes if you know how to use them properly. you probably need something with a shorter box so you can get over it; you're also sickling your foot too much and it's not safe. have your teacher examine your shoes for proper fit :)

  • if theyre terrible why broadcast them to the world on youtube?

  • You're jumping into your echappes and it just isn't right.

  • Try turning out more and not jumping on pointe. Roll through demi, THEN pointe. Try to get over your box too, but i think the shoes are just new and need to be broken in a bit. Practice makes perfect! (:

  • @BlondeBallerina108 I agree Blonde...break those shoes in and don't jump into your pointe. Echappes should be more of a roll, less of a jump.

  • you jump to much going into your echappes make it more of a slide

  • I'm lylasax. I just changed my name to Lyla Ballerina. And like I said, the echappes weren't that bad but you sickle WAY TO MUCH!!

  • your echappes werent bad you just sickle a lot.maybe you are just unsure of yourself on point.do some strengthening exercises so you can be more confident and not sickle

  • i agree w/ lylasax. good echappes, really bad sickling. make your foot the shape of a flagship. and don't bounce into an echappe, it should raise from the calf muscle, not from jumping into it.

  • Tho only problem I've seen is the sickling of your left foot, other than that the rest is okay plus you have really nice arches. I'm flatfooted so my pointes looks flat when I go up. Sucks to be me. (Sigh...)

  • dont sickle ur foot too much.

can u critique me on my pointe video?

  • ask for your teachers' help, hurry!!

  • I feel that you need to build more strength in your ankles. You make me nervous, and don"t sickle your foot. Please don't hurt yourself.

  • Please work on your turnout. I also suggest using Grishko Maya or Gaynor Minden. The tips are larger and can improve your balance. They might be a little more expensive but trust me, they're worth it.

  • your left foot is 100% turned in which means that all the turn out in your right foot really isn't there either. your going to hurt yourself. please stop.

  • my girl............. omg ...... Τhe pointe shoes arent a game you will be invalide if you keep doing this thing!!!

  • te salen muy bien los echappes a mi me pasa algo parecido te recomendaria q talon del pie izquierdo lo hagas mas adelante bueno espero q t ayude

  • ahhh!! how did you get put en pointe!! you sickle so much im scared!

  • Don't worry, you will most definitely improve with time. But for now practice slowly, I find it helps, and when your doing steps on pointe, analyse your every move and make sure you are always on top of your box, your feet are turned out ect, before moving on to another step or position. And ignore the hate about you not being en pointe, your feet will grow stronger :) <3

  • i think you need to break them in more, because they look stiff.

  • you haven't En dehors, and, you're not ready for pointes

  • ewwww oh god my instructor would have killed you you are not ready for pointe

  • ¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿

  • u are not ready for pointe shoes

  • your sickling way too much, try to break in your demi pointe more.

  • sickle, try toavoid it(: Try to work your echappes scrapping the floor, i mean use the floor do not jump! :D

  • Try using the floor instead of jumping. And also, don't flex your point by turning it inward. It get your foot accustomed to it and you then have an turned in foot. Hope this helps!

  • Try working through your foot more, use the floor instead of jumping. You have to break in the demi on those shoes. You do sickle quite a bit too. And don't pratice over pointing, it's a bad habit. You want to rest on flat part, not leaned past it.

  • Try working through your foot more, use the floor instead of jumping. You have to break in the demi on those shoes. You do sickle quite a bit too.

  • You are not ready for point! U could hurt yourself!!

  • Your holding on to the wall

  • You're jumping onto your points so use the floor more. And you need to work through your demi more :)

Use a técnica certa, sempre.

  • primeiro compre um sapatilha compativel a seus pés, estas sao muito fortes e seus pes sao fracos. Ah e tambem quebre a sapatilha esta nao esta quebrada ainda

  • dont jump into positions, try usin the floor more.

  • How long did it take you to get on pointe and what kind of pointe shoes are those?

  • not ready for pointe shoes

  • your pointes look pretty new in this video so I am guessing you have only just come on to them? if so then don't panic, echappes and releve's and whatever you do on pointes will not come straight away! It's a slow process! When I first got my pointes at the beginning of the year I felt as though I had started ballet all over again because I couldn't do much on my pointes! I have been doing ballet since I was 3 and do quite well in competitions and exams so I take it I am an OK ballet dancer!

  • be very careful not to sickle, however your echappes aren't bad - i think you just have a stronger right foot, and so you think that your left foot is going wrong

just think positive and work on strengthening your left foot :)

  • use your plie more ,be careful not to sickle, and you'll be good :)

they really weren't all that bad

  • yopur gonna BRAKE an ankle !! please please be careful to not sickel ! other than that ur doing great!!! keep going

  • que desastre

  • rather than focusing on stretching the outside of your ankle, focus on the inside so you don`t go pigeon-toed and end up tearing ligaments. (:

  • waste of time

  • Just try to get your heals forward and brush up onto your box. Also those shoes don't look quite right for you. try a shoe with a shorter box. I think you will be able to get over your shoe better. Hope this helps! Keep on trying! :D

  • youre jumping on <-- dont be so hard on your feet

and try not to break your shoes so much with your hands

it doesn't seem to match your arch

  • i think you are kinda jumping on your toes make it mor of a tondué jeteé kind of thing.. maybe that helps ;)

  • you have fat legs

  • your teacher haves to tell you important stuff like DON'T SICKLE!!!

  • You have to work on your turn out :)

  • oh my god. you will break your ankles! be careful! try not to sickle your foot. makes me nervous!

  • @acerin123 yea ur gonna break your feet! use the demi pointe more, then rise, climb on top

  • slow down a lil and try to sickle less

other than that GORGEOUS FEET :D

  • you're sickling and you're not on your block when you go up. Try taking it slower and working through your feet as opposed to jumping into the echappes.

  • that's bad! :S nice feet! :)

  • i love grishko 2007's that's what i have, you just need to keep doing strength exercises and stretching your feet and turn out, they aren't terrible!!!!

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww you suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think you need to strengthen your ankles and when your doing echappes do them slower and try and get right over the block instead of doing fast straight away and try to not sickle your foot

  • how long have you been doing pointe?

  • your feet are lovely. Not a scary arch--just enough. Try rolling through them slowly to break in the front part a little. :)

  • Your only major problem is that you aren't turned out.

  • jaja esto es un insulto a la danza clasica!!

  • Oh, and turn your feet out! Great job!

  • try not to sickle your foot and make sure you're over your box at all times, but otherwise, really good!

  • lol i love how theres another pair of pointes :) lmao, but your really good ! <3

  • you can tell your pushing your feet into the ground to make your arch bigger....... i have been danceing since i was 2 1/2 i should know and i went to a FAMOUS ballet school..................................... BUT THATS BAD

  • Some of that stuff I think you made up. Some of that I've never seen O.o

Btw, you need to work on your sickle. Also you said you just started, you shouldn't be doing echappes yet, and if you still really want to, do them super slow it builds strength and eventually you'll get it. And on your echappes your hopping en pointe, you can break your toes and ankles doing that.

  • you sickle a lot

  • You have a bad endehors.

  • Please be careful and do ankle strengthening exercises. While you're not at all bad you have a sickle and don't quite get over your pointes. But you're so close, keep working at it

  • ur not actually stretching ur left foot... and u have to make ur point shoes more soft cause its too hard for u!! ;)

  • you may have tendonitis... it happened to a friend. =S

  • and careful your not jumping or hopping into your positions.. use the floor :)

  • apply pressure as you go out into your echappes! it will help with the strength in your feet and having stronger pointe work.. echappes and releves are similar in the way that your feet have to move about as much as your big toe is long, before going up onto pointe. what you are doing is actually called a press up because you are not moving your feet, just going up... also work on your turn out. it will help immensly!

  • you're not crossing your fifth all the way and you aren't getting all the way en pointe. I have a pair of grishko 2007 but im switching because they just don't form right to my feet. Maybe trying a different brand of shoes might help as well.

  • Keep your legs straight and your upper thigh+ butt engaged. I know this may not sound like something that might help your foot, and I know those weren't even visible but you can tell. It is the surprising root of wobbly ankles and turnout, even getting over your pointe. I would just say work with your foot a lot--massage when watching a movie, stretch while waiting in line--I used to have a weak right foot but its fine now! :)

  • shes right somethin does look kind of weird with those echapes

  • well, go trough ur foot more, and break them in a bit more. maybe u should be stronger in ur ankles? idk, good luck

  • its not terrible its look nice

  • i had grishko 2007s also, but all they did was help me sickle more! i switched to capezio glisse, and boom! most of the sickling was gone! I definitely recommend switching shoes!

  • what i find helpful is doing a lot of forced arch combos and really focusing on rolling through your feet the entire time. also . breaking them in with my hands.

  • guys, she wants constructive critisim, not just "oh ur sickeling" or "you have bad turnout". don't say wat the person below me said, cuz it dosent help her...

  • where the hell is your turnout girl! if you're enpointe then work it! haha and stop sickling those feet

  • Oooo 2007's. Hard to break in huh? :)

  • Not bad, just don't jump onto pointe. That will cause you some problems. And watch so you don't sickle your foot and you'll be fine! Pretty good for a beginner

  • Don't sickle!!

  • dont sickle when you stretch with your shoes! YIKES! careful, you dont wna to ruin your pointe for good.

  • you're sickling loads. but very pretty feet!

  • Try not to jump on to pointe in the echappes and don't sickle...great job though!

  • Push into the floor instead of hopping onto the box of your shoes slide your heels and roll through your feet =)

  • Echappes are like the only thing I still can't do right, and I've been en pointe for nearly a year and a half. xP

  • When you came close to the ribbon of your other shoe I was like...OMG she's gonna fall :o

    Hahaha

  • you knowsomething you are realy perfect do you think you are a bad dancer you are not i am the worst dancer has ever excisted thos awful georgia balet solos are mine i shame for my shelf for uploading those ballet tortures was the worst idea

i had in my 12 years old life i will be regreting for lifetime for uploading them but you can watch if you want to and comment too

  • You need to be careful of the sickle! Once you get that under control I think all you need is just some "tightening up" and a little more lift and turn out through you knees and your legs. This will make it easier to pull up. REMEMBER the string through your body !

how long have you been on pointe?

  • Turn out... and sickeling will make you have an injury

Slow echappes, properly done will help you improve your strength but only if you ondt sickle, turn out, and work on how you come down from the echappe

  • what kind of pointe shoes are they?

  • In the beginning are you trying to sickle

  • Awful turn out. and ur sicleing.

  • Don't hop onto pointe during your echappes. Other than that you were great.

  • you sickle a lot .

  • Yeah, TheSierra is right. You've got to work on our ankle muscles so you don't sickle your ankles because if you keep doing that, you will end up with an injury. Good luck! Dancers Unite!!!!!

  • alright hun... you sickle your feet ALOT!!! and your super duper noisy... think light like a pretty ballerina!!! :) hahahaaaaaa keep on working! your gonna get there

  • your not on your toes properly sometimes

  • you have to work on that turnout!,

  • they are not terrible at all :) , but practice makes perfect :)

  • Some day I need to find out what is meant by "sieklling" other than that what caught my attention is how far back the ribbons are attached. This does not look traditional from what I have heard.

  • the think the echappes look awkward just because you aren't going back completely into fifth and you kind of hop into second instead of pushing your feet through into second. Keep working fellow dancer! :)

  • whats with the turned-in foot when you lift it up at 0:33-0:40 ?

please fix that by pointe-ing your foot even when the focus isnt on that foot

    thanks

  • dont sickle. /:

    eww.

  • Look at :24 Your right leg is sicklling horrible!

And at :33 to :38 and alll of those other times!!DONT DO THAT!

  • Seriously! Your echappes are the LEAST of

Your worries!!!!!!! Talk about sickle city!!! I mean, I'm really trying not to be rude, but I find it hard to believe that your teacher let you en pointe with your sickling. However, you look Like you have wonderful feet. Keep on practicing and I know you'll do great! :)

  • Try your hardest not to sickle your feet!! It's not very attractive!(:

  • for one, try not sickling. it may be why you started to get tired at the end, and it will really affect your later pointe work. Also, because you're not pushing fully onto your box, which can also have a large negative impact, you're jumping into your echappes, instead of pushing into them. I recommend you keep on strengthening your ankles, as you really need to push onto your box

  • looked pretty good to me

  • dont sickle your foot!!!!

  • ur echappes look better than mine!

  • Very good but if you push more on the box forward and push more on the heel backward you will get a better point possision :D

  • Try a narrower style with a lower vamp. Also make sure you roll down . And make your second a little bit larger. Also make sure you have a very deep plie that is very important!!!

  • u did not balance well

  • Oh hun, they're not that bad, trust me, you should see mine! Just make sure you're getting your heels down every time you land, and don't jump onto pointe. Also, try and get up over your box, I noticed you weren't quite making it, particularly when you were doing your echappes to fourth.

  • I would try a shoe with a lower vamp. Right now you are jumping onto your box without rolling through demi-pointe at all. It's forcing your calves to do all the work. You also need to strengthen the outside of your left ankle, it's sickled. Break out that theraband!

  • you're not turning back foot (;

  • your feet sickle. sometimes. and work on breaking them in more at the 3/4 part. and plie more.

  • Very good! I have grishkos and a way to improve is when you go to echappe, pointe really hard on one your foot and go on your box, i sorry its hard to explain

  • what pointe shoes are those they seem really good there nice

  • They're Grishko 2007 pointes

  • These echappes are not that bad. Just try to get over your box more and extend your pointe. You're tending to sickle just a little bit. Other than that, though, you had very nice form!

  • that isn't terrible;) but you must put your foot(?) more on the floor

  • I think these shoes look beautiful on you! Just plie more in your echappes and you'll have them beauitfully! Good work :)

  • plie plie plie durring echappes and you will have them in no time!

  • you're holding youself up...

  • They really are not that bad. you do not need to be as hard on yourself.

  • They're not that bad i think you're okay* but you can do it better : ]

  • i think you're fabulous. :)

  • wow, your feet are gorgeous! Your echappes really are not that bad, just try not to sickle when on pointe and just pointing your feet. As for your echappes, try not to jump onto the box so much and you could make them a little bit wider so they don't sometimes look like releves. Hope this helped! :)

  • Try not to sickle, but otherwise good.

  • Did you break them in by hand/other method apart from your feet?

  • by hand for the most part

  • Yeah I could tell, try not to do that though it looks like you've broken the arch in the wrong place. I made the same mistake with my first pair.

  • @Italianfouette you really shouldnt do that. that can ruin a pointe shoe...

  • @balletfreak97 if you know how to do it right sometimes it's necessary

  • I started pointe a few months ago also. I like your shoes. I think you are doing really well. I had a hard time with the whole jumping onto pointe too. I'll tell you what my teacher told me...make sure your heels land on the floor. I think you're off to a great start! Have fun!

  • thnx...

can i have your email for a private chat?

  • when you started doing "echappes" fast, you weren't actually doing an echappe. you were just releveing and switching feet. you were also "jumping" up to releve. you need to think of pushing through the floor and sliding your feet out more. you need a wider second position, unless it was choreographed to have a small echappe. just remember to keep lifted and use your core (abs). that helps too.

  • nice legs!!

    i love your music!!

  • Thanks!!! the song is jane, by jefferson starship,

just in case you didnt know!
