God those are beautiful. If I had to make 170 track links, there is no way I'd put that much effort into them, given they're just going to get mashed up on the ground anyway.

That track looks absolutely superb, but damn that takes a lot of work! It got me seriously thinking an alternate approach; make a mold out of a single track link, and cast the rest out of hard polyurethane resin (80-90 Shore A, about the same as rollerskate wheel) with some reinforcing embedded metal framework.
