Technically it is now. Considering it's it's own game. Before it was just a Halo 3 expansion but now it's going to be it's own center piece. Therefore Halo 4 but in Cronological order taking place during Halo 2.

OMG THERES NO HALO 4! sadly :'( but i think that cortana wakes up cheif when then drift off and some how land on mabye doisac (if u dont know what that is then ur not a TRUE halo fan ^^ its the brute homeworld) and the crash kills most of them but cheif survives and the rest of the humans go out to doisac to finish them off and they found cheif but he was very badly wounded and so they kill like 1000 more brutes (remember the crash baicly wiped them out to the edge of extinction)and thy wnt bak.
