Question. We has a 2009 C-300 Sport for 3 days while our 2001 E-320 was being serviced. While driving I noticed that there is no longer a kick-down function. Nor does the gas peddle have the same feel. It's like to peddle doesn't go down as far as the one on our E. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this new peddle just on the C or is it on all the MB models. Only ask because we a planning on ordering our 2011 E-350 or E-350 Bluetech come Oct. 2010, our family tradition to get a new E every 10yrs.

It's much better MB, i have a C63 AMG Mercedes and i love all on it!!.... My NeXT car would be a CLS or a CL y love that cars!!! Me too, i was saying generally speaking when comparing AUDI, MERCEDES, BMW that BMW is away from competition in many more ways than one, AUDI RS6 vs E63 AMG would be brutal comparing, where M5 is way behind and is not good enough to be compared.

Okay, my bad. I just think too many people, including car journalists, are very biased when comparing a BMW to a MB. I think the new MB AMG line provides more power, better looks and sound than the BMW M division line, in their respective classes. However, I don't think I really like the rear end of this new E63 AMG. But, it sounds fantastic. By the way, what do you think of the upcoming Aston Martin Rapid? BMW is good but not even close to what MB has in many more ways than one, put it this way not only BMW but all other productions. BMW is extremely loud, wants to get acknowledged for no proven facts, where many people are realizing that, even worse their own clients are changing their mind and going for trusted Mercedes or Audi, productions where they talk less and prove more with actions, move forward with more and better innovations where it equals to top notch technology results.

Don't get me wrong i am a huge Audi fan, truth and facts are there. Things can be imitated & copied as there is one original production in saying that, there is only one Mercedes Benz. Production where started it all. Rapide 6.0litre V12 470bhp 600Nm of torque, class performance=lot of money who cares there is lots of rich people out there anyway, compete with Maserati Quattroporte, Mercedes-Benz CLS, Porsche Panamera, upcoming Audi A7, Lamborghini Estoque will be very interesting.

Very nice. Personally, I'd take a C63 and do an ECU tune to bring it to about 510hp depending on the tune. Invest a couple grand more and you'll have a 575hp C63.

M Love this car the sound of the new AMG's are amazing no car sounds like it, only thing I hate is the Huge clock in the Speed O area that is a terrible place, it is bigger than than the Tach that stupid and there should be an economy gauge under the speedo like the late 80s early 90s benz. Dont know why they got rid of the economy gauge I thought it was cool

Do the shifters on the side of the wheel stay with the wheel when it turns or are they like ferrari where they are planted behind the wheel and stay in place. That is one problem they needed to fix with the older amg models with paddels.
