What happens if u catch a trainer pokemon and it says bad egg for the name. Is it a bad egg or a regular pokemon.

I've never actually caught a trainer's PokeMon before. But, I'd say, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, but is called Bad Egg, it's probably still a duck, so to speak >.> If it gives you problems, just make a code to overwrite that slot.

@ilovecheese26 If you already have the code, you do not need PokeSav. If you want to make a new code, you will need to download it. PokeSav for Diamongd is the same as PokeSav for Pearl. Aside from those two, codes from one PokeSav will not work on another game than intended. You can press L + R at anytime during the game to activate it's effects. Be careful not to activate them at a time when it might put you in a spot, such as overwriting HM PokeMon when you need them to get out of an area.

@djpdr Only if you intend to use the Action Replay Code Manager to add the codes to the device. You can take the code from PokeSav and enter it manually into the Action Replay but that takes forever and it's a pain in the ass!!

@TheSurrahChannel Recheck Pokesav. Make sure that you have a pokemon in slot one when making the code in Pokesav, and that you change the "Party Members" number accordingly. Also, Make sure that you Check both in when exporting ARDS code. In case the code doesn't work, make sure you save the pkmn file you created in pokesav so that you can just reload it later. Just hit the save button next to it and the load button to load a pkmn file. You can also download pkmn files from the internet.

I had 4 of the question marks but with this I managed to only delete 3 of them, I read that you can use some code to make your slot one pokemon change into another one, but I tried that and it didn't work

You can download pokesav from projectpokemon (dot) org. It's on the left side all the way at the bottom. When opening it, go to the party pokemon section in the main menu. Click on edit for slot 1. Make a poke. Make sure everything has been set. Click OK when done. If you think you might want to use this poke later, click save and save as .pkm file. Set number of party pokes you'd have after using the code. If you have the glitch plus 1 poke in slot 2, number'd be 2.

Click export ARDS code. In the new menu, check all the items the code will change. For this code, check Party Pokemon slot 1 and Party Member amount. When you save it, you should get a working AR code.

@jbjnklkjnbhk That's the beauty of it!! It's capabilities are not confined to hat was shown in the video. You can make anything you want!! Any PokeMon with any stat set, moves, OT, ID, anything!!

It gets even better when you can get a NDS Backup Adapter to copy your entire save file to your computer, make your modifications in PokeSav, then copy it back to the cartridge. You can make all the changes you want at the same time without the need of Action Replay.

I only copy/pasted because pokesav for DP, for some unknown reason, left out every other 0. Since it's hex, they have to be sets of 8 characters. We're replacing with empty slots, so the data is going to be all zeros, so it's safe to copy and paste one to the rest.

Make sure this code is for your version.

Make sure the code you made is generated from pokesav for your version.

Move pokemon around after editing data before saving. It keeps the file from corrupting.

i tired the code but it just got rid of the other pokemon and it didnt go away.

@lilanimefreak90 Try making a code that instead of deleting the pokemon slot, puts one there. I guess since there is capsule data in the slot, a pokemon MUST exist. And since the code deletes a pokemon where one has to be, it fills the spot with bad egg. Make a code that will overwrite the slot with a pokemon of your choosing. You can make it any way you want with pokesav. That's the beauty of it!!

So.. if i dont have action replay on my ds, will this work? and how? I use cyclods and it has built in cheats. I used the fast egg hatch and immediate egg cheat. I grabbed my first egg (not a bad egg) then i talked to the guy again and he said he has an egg for me again. so i thought i can get 2 pokemon. so im like sweet but then a step later the egg hatched and it said would you like to name your (blank) and now i have a question mark in my pokemon inv. (whatever it is)

@saav25 PokeSav, as far as I know, can only generate codes for Action Replay and save files for flash carts. If you don't have either of those, you'll need to go some other route to remove bad egg/missingno. I'd recommend Action Replay or flash cart. Flash cart more so than Action Replay but AR's portable.

I will not. I made this video to show you how to use it. Please download PokeSav and generate your own code. I guarantee it's virus free. Make your own code. Remember that you need to also activate the party member amount value. Use the party member appropriately to delete bad eggs.

Very simple fix. Use PokeSav to write a code that will overwrite the first party member. As you MUST have a member to come first, any code that modifies the first slot must result in a pokemon for slot one. A code that makes slot one empty will result in a Bad Egg or Missingno. ( ? Glitch ) Use PokeSav to completely customize your very own poke, anything from Magikarp to Arceus, with any stat set you want, and put it first. Now instead of having the (?), you have your own custom pokemon.

Just for future reference, this is not going to solve EVERYONE's specific problem. And it's also not the only solution to the given problem. This was meant to introduce PokeSav so that people will learn to use it for their own specific purposes. If you're going to use this very code, (which is Plat only. D&P take different codes which I used to have. Only 1 will fit in description If you want D&P get it and make your own.) read and make sure the shoe fits your purposes. Happy learning, people!!

@Xjreme18 Nope. :\ Bad eggs aren't actually eggs. They're just what the games decides to put there when a mistake happens and you're supposed to have more pokes than you have. Sometimes you'll get 'em or you'll get MissingNo. or something to that effect. And, so, you can't get bad eggs from messing up an event egg.

Anyways, no. It doesn't. If it did, I'd been screwed a long time ago. I used this to get rid of bad egg. Like I said, It's just a glitch that happens when the tag that tells the game how many Poke'mon you have in your party doesn't match the amount of Poke'mon you actually have in your party. The game freaks out and just fills in the slots with bad eggs which don't want to leave. This just overwrites the bad # tag with a good one and no more eggs!!

Oh gotdamnit people! Read the fcuking description! Stop asking for different codes or DP codes or shit. This vid provides a basis of knowledge for making codes and using the code manager to put them in AR. If you want something additional, got to the damn site, download the program and make them!! It's not all that hard. Pretty much self-explanatory. Experiment a little for Christ's sake! If it doesn't work, you may not have copied it right. Just make your own! You can do it!

If you buy the AR device new from the store, it comes with a CD that will install the Action Replay Code Manager, a program with which you can write, delete, edit, etc. codelists. It also comes with a USB cord you can connect your AR to your computer with in order to use the codes. As for getting the game on the computer, that is not portrayed in this vid, albeit, possible. You can download the ROM online. Google it. You'll also nee dan emulator. You should read up on them.

Did you watch the vid or read any of the comments? Take this code and put it into AR. Activate the code with L + R and slots 2-6 in your party will be gonzo. If they were bad eggs, they're gone. If you need the code for D\P, msg me and I'll get it for you.

Yes. Do you see when I start out, right above where I change the "party members" value to 1. Those six slots are your party members. Bad Eggs and Missingno.s are cause when your party members value doesn't match the number of pokes you have in your party. It thinks you should have more so it fills with bad eggs. Usually caused naturally by a glitch or delay in data writing or accidentally by trying to hack with pokesav. But that's irrelevant. . .

If you leave the first slot empty and check the box to modify your first party slot with the code, it will delete your first poke. BUT!!! I've never done this. Seeing as you HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING in the first slot at all times, it might result in a bad egg. Instead make your own poke with pokesav and put it in slot one. This will delete slot 1 and overwrite with the custom poke you made in pokesav. Yay!

You cannot move bad eggs into a PC. You get rid of them with this. If bad eggs, missingno.s, etc. are in your PC, put them in your party. If you can't move them, msg me with which box and which slot its and in I'll make another code. If AR Code Manager has stopped working for you, uninstall it and reinstall it. If you don't have the cord, the USB port isn't working, etc., that sucks for you. Go to a friends house and do it or type it in by hand. (Which sucks more. . .)

Your game has messed up beyond just bad egg. It might not accept many changes made by AR. My Contra 4 did this. I can fix it by doing a hard reset and erasing all saved data, but the moment I put it back on AR it stops working and I have to do it all over again. I wouldn't know what to do for yeh. Like I said, it's beyond just bad egg, and this won't cover it.

You do not need pokesav as long as you already have the code. It's posted in the description. BUT!!, you can use pokesav to tailor your own codes. You can modify every aspect of your current gamesave with pokesav. P.S. Do not try to change too much with one code and do not activate too many codes at once.

1) It will still kill Missing Number. What is does is erase whatever's in slots 2-6 and tells the game that nothing is there. That's where problems arise. Sometimes people make codes and leave this step out so you only have one, but the game thinks your supposed to have more. MissingNo. But it really doesn't matter. This kills it.

Hope you're not trying to use it on Platinum. This is for the Diamond and Pearl Versions. Platinum codes have more differences than just a couple of character changes. I'll put the Platinum codes up in just a second. Check the entry and try again. If it still doesn't work, comment me and I'll tailor a new cheat for you.
