i have bad scares ): my dermatologist gave me clyndamican or whatever its in a yellow & white tube. & he gave me a prescription for retina a but i can't use it because i got pregnant. i don't want to take accutane because of effects on the liver, is there anything else they can give me? like a face wash or something ,?
Hi there! I've watched a few of your videos and I think you are fantastic! When I was growing up,
(many years ago), I struggled with acne. The way you are talking so openly and honestly about these issues is more than helpful. You are such a beautiful, positive, and caring person. Please keep sharing your experience with everyone.
How about indented scars?!! Since cystic acnes form deeply under your skin, they tend to cause indented scars, in my case at least. I am sooooo self-conscious about my scars.. I wish I had known you earlier :(
How about indented scars?!! Since cystic acnes form deeply under your skin, they tend to cause indented scars, in my case at least. I am sooooo self-conscious about my scars.. I wish I had known you earlier :(
Great video! I used to get a lot of cystic acne on my cheeks and jawline. I'm dealing with the scarring now, which has reduced drastically in the past year. I found glycolic acid helped a ton (I use Neostrata toner 10%) followed by oils (tamanu, tee tree, essential oils for dehydrated skin from Clarins) -- mix them together and use every night. Never tried olive oil though. I also use a cleansing oil by Shu Uemera to take off my makeup every night. I found microdermabrasion to work great too!
Hi ladies, I would recommend St. Ives Natually Clear Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control . It works not only to keep your face clean but it helps with all the flakey skin & it also helps with my scars. But yeah, then again, thats only me. Everybody is different & has different conditions.
@aprillate86 no it's been used over hundreds of years as a treatment for the skin and doesn't clog pores usually. it has never with mine. supposedly the size of the molecules that olive oil is made of is different from the sebum we have on our skin and therefore won't "fit" into the pores. also contains a lot of vitamin e. :)
Wait, so after puttin on all of our skincare, like moisturizer, lotion then cream and then skin lightening lotion . after all of that has absorbed into our skin , we can still put olive oil on our skin? Really?
Can you put a list of the products or chemicals you mention in the description. It would be nice to be able to have them all listed together instead of having to scroll at random throughout and try to remember one you mentioned. and THANK YOU btw :D
@dimondsandheels14 can you tell me how to tell the DNA not to go back to a scar i really didn't get what you were saying and you said allot of helpful things please tell me i really want to get rid of some scars i caused from picking :(
I have started using rosehip oil, I felt like I broke out more, but the pimples are healing much quicker. I am also trying to go dairy free and have started drinking almond milk and taking an allergy tablet each day, I am feeling much better and my skin is looking better too. I love your videos you always make me laugh!
@beforzo noooo!!! dairy is good for you, try raw milk. (: from sprouts, its sooo good for you, and coconut oil can help to! sounds scary to put oil but obvi u already do and it really helps! also try a egg white mask, they have awesome reviews and personally...they work so good and an egg is only like $0.20 !! :D even tho putting raw egg on your face seems gross... would you rather egg/ or acne?!
I'm sorry but I can't listen to a girl talk about how to get rid of acne and how to treat acne and how to apply makeup so you can cover up your acne when she has terrible acne herself and all the makeup she applies is probably just adding to the problem. If your solutions work so well, why haven't they WORKED? (I'm not making fun of her acne, I have it myself which is why I can't listen to this)
@passionbowl hey... some people just have really bad acne and its really hard to get rid of. maybe what she means is that it will make the acne better. which, it did. you should see how much her acne has actually improved.
i have bad acne too,it just improves but it doesn't really go away. Anddd also, the make up, its just a way to cover it when you need to. i mean come on, having bad acne everyday? you got to have a way to cover it on some days right.
@passionbowl Er, she's in the process of treating her acne. Like most people, it will never truly be "cured" She'll suffer from it for years to come, maybe for her entire life. Also, Cassie is careful with what makeup she uses so that it does not make her acne worse. If you've seen her first video of her showing her acne for the first time, you'll notice a huge difference! It has gotten better. But again, she'll most likely have it till death; like most of us.
my beautician says to hydrate your skin a lot. moisturizers, hydrating masks, everything hydrating. it'll help reduce acne scars. works for me, but my problem is i get addicted to zit popping so yeah....
@sharingan6686 that's exactly my problem too! I just can't stand the acne bumps on my face! -_- I'll try to hydrate my skin see if it can help to reduce the scars..hehe
HEEEELLPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!SO I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING BUT I CANT REALLY FIND ANYTHING. I STARTED USING BIO OIL AND VITAMIN E OIL CAN YOU USE ANY OF THOSE AS A MOISTURIZER AND PUT MAKE UP OVER IT???
I love tazorac!! I've been using it for 5-6 months already and I seen improvement to my skin. I also exfoliate my skin every day (Salicylic lactic and glycolic acids) Murad AHA/BHA and Indian Aztec Healing Clay mask 1-2 days a week. I still break out here and there... but I seen much improvement to my skin.
I doesn't have serious acne on my face but I do get acne easily on my back! I exfoliate/ scrub my body atleast twice or thrice a week.. And I also use tea tree oil on those acne.. As for the scars, I actually use SOOOOOOOOOO many products but it doesn't work.. I even use Bio Oil before but still nothing.. My hubby bought for me Egyptian Magic and so I try it on.. To my surprise, it fade away bit by bit.. I'm on 2nd tub now.. Maybe it help for some of you.. ;)

Hi Cassandra,I would like to thank you for being such a wonderful guru on youtube. i was so delightful when I discover your channel. You are so flawless and I love how your so comfortable & confident when sharing updates about your skin. I also adore how your videos are all so informative and educational. I learn so many things from you. This just shows that you always do solid research before displaying the information to us. Anyways, LONG comment, sorry! Much love XX
@BeautyGirl6795 i know most of the things she's talking about and i took anatomy/physiology this year in school. so she probably either researches this info or she took a class in high school or college. she's also a model, so that probably has alot to do with it as well.
@squelch9 okay........what are you talking about? i'm just responding to the person who asked why she knew so much, i said that she probably knows (or thinks she knows) all this information because she researched it. your comment was unnecessary.
Also, collagen is not a cell, it's a protein. Please stop giving people false information as though you are a dermatologist. Folks, get your advice from experts, not armchair doctors who think a "biology for non-majors" class at community college qualifies them to get medical advice.
@squelch9 she's doing her best to help. and always tells us to research it ourselves and never take her word for it. she's been through it and is just trying to help us all look and feel better. maybe you should be a bit nicer next time you have a correction to offer.
@haleyy713 No matter, it's false information. As much as she tries to come off being helpful, she might as well be selling snake oil. People should take their medical advice from educated doctors and scientists, not armchair scholars.
@squelch9 she's not saying to take the advice from her! she says it in every video. she says to talk to your doctor and research for yourself. so sorry she's not perfect. cause im sure you are.
Sorry, but scientifically, you don't know what you're talking about. Perhaps some biology, anatomy, physiology, and histology classes may help you understand skin, cells, DNA, and tissues better.

Awesome videos and the Salicylic Acid stuff is actually suppose to help acne scars go away. In basically all of the washes/scrubs etc that we use for acne has salicylic acid to help them go away =] but awesome video
One of the most helpful videos on scarring I have ever watched. You actually explain things, which helps so much. And you do it in a really nice way. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
I agree, it would be very great if you could list the products, minerals or whatever you mention in your videos. That would make it so much easier to find products. Also, do you know how to diminish heels that have become discolorated, rough or how to reduce blisters? I think that'd also be a helpful video. Thanks so much for all your help, these acne videos are so wonderful
how about roscea..i have been using tree tea oil, which so far has been helping, plus a blue light nightly...abyways do you have any help with this problem...love your videos. thanks
Hey everyone- if you are looking for a cosmetic solution to hide the scar, check out Dermaflage. It was invented by a Hollywood makeup artist and uses silicone to fill in the indentation. We're changing people's lives.
What is the one you take that is internal...and what is the product you use to lighten scars. My scars from acne are on my back and the are brown little circles. What do you think would be best?? You seem to know alot about this?
Is there anything over the counter that works? I am also curious about the ice pick scarring as a user mentioned below. I don't have health insurance so I can't see a dermatologist at the moment, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can do right now to help (even just a little bit!)
@lindseykaye1 try putting 100% lemon juice, I put it on my scars before bed and it take about 2 months to work but it really works! My mom got rid of her sun spots with it too.
you are a doll, i just had baby #3 and have had amazing skin my whole life until recently it's been awful. I think being pregnant with a girl messed me up. My cheeks broke out and that was a first. I had perfect skin in high school just a random zit here and there. so now i have scars on my cheeks and arms i need to get rid of. Thanks for this post! HUGS
Do you use DIY glycolic peel that stores sell OTC? If so, can you tell which brand do you use? Pleaseeeeee..I have tried chemical peel (forgot which one) but it did NOTHING and cost $200 per session. My derm told me to come back after 2 months and do a second session, I did it but it made no difference at all. I want to try the DIY peels
@trishiexoxo I think the main point of putting it on is to leave it so it can soak in.If you wash it off naturally it won't work..It is oil,not soap or something alcohol based..
I have a question, after you've done a peel/microdermabrasion session/etc. should you apply olive oil just after you've done the treatment, or should you keep using olive oil for a while afterwards too?
I think that you are very kind person! It took a lot of guts for you to do this. Btw, you are beautiful, with or without the make up. As an adult woman who had severe acne in to my late twenties, I can relate to the acne pain. I modeled early on, but later my acne got so bad that I lost a lot of self esteem. I now know how to apply my make-up to cover up the few scars I have left. However, I found that a deep plant enzyme treatment did wonders for me. Thanks for what you do!
I have a lot of Mary Kay products. Do you think the microderm abrasion and the Serum C (collagen product) would help my pigmentation scarring. I think I got it from salicynic peels. Definitely not sun damage.
I love your videos but I have a question (maybe you have answered this before or maybe I am just missing the point of it) but why do you always insert a random picture of yourself in the middle of your videos I have seeing a couple of your videos and it always happen? Again love your videos but I was just wondering :)
As a child I was run over outside my nan's house by someone on a bike and have a scar beside my right eye as well as acne scaring. I was wondering if this advise will work on non acne scars?
I was on Accutane during high school and I experienced depression and suicidal ideation. To say the least, I am not the biggest fan of the drug. While I did have the clearer skin, I was not in any way able to enjoy it. To say the least, I decided I'd rather take a shot at being happy with acne than suicidal without it. To anyone thinking of taking this medication, be sure to TELL YOUR DOCTOR if you experience any depressive symptoms. Your happiness is SO MUCH more important than your skin.
Hi! What was that you said at 3:52? My mom has bad facial discoloration and she's tried a myriad of products but none of them worked :( I want her to take your advice on the subject to help lighten pigmentation.. what was that again? Hydro..? Thanks.. Happy New Year!!
this has helped me so much! I did a little more research after this but you basically summed it all up perfectly. I can go to school some days with no makeup on! although I love makeup much too much for that:) as you can see in all my videos I'm makeup free. I feel so much less self conscious now, like I can go out and be free! thank you for giving my life back:)
This is so true. I have scares that are just now showing from my teenage years and I am 47. One night I rolled my hair with curler using the plastic hair curling pin. It left a permanent indentation to this day. It is better but it is still there. So your given great advice.
Heyhey! You made this much easier for me to understand! I am struggling with acne for almost 2 years now, been to the doctor and got a lot of stuff tohelp it. Its getting better and better this time, but you helped me a lot! The only thing is that im afraid without foundation on, like in the swimming pool and stuff. Could you make a vid of how you can get comfortabler with your acne? Cause your always so confident! Would really help me, and i think a lot of other people too! Loveyouu and byee!
Hey i'm so happy I found you!! I have been suffering from acne scarring for years now. I went for a glycholic peel a few months ago but its so expensive! Where did you get yours from I dont want to buy from a dodgy place online. Thanks x
stop saying this stuff is changing your DNA. because it doesnt.

You seem to know alot about this?
prettynpink2021 1 month ago
Is there anything over the counter that works? I am also curious about the ice pick scarring as a user mentioned below. I don't have health insurance so I can't see a dermatologist at the moment, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can do right now to help (even just a little bit!)
lindseykaye1 1 month ago

As for the olive oil, do i leave it on or do i wash it off after?
trishiexoxo 1 month ago 40
@trishiexoxo I think the main point of putting it on is to leave it so it can soak in.If you wash it off naturally it won't work..It is oil,not soap or something alcohol based..
TTHeavensent 1 month ago
@trishiexoxo i leave it on and it absorves to moisturize too

I have a question, after you've done a peel/microdermabrasion session/etc. should you apply olive oil just after you've done the treatment, or should you keep using olive oil for a while afterwards too?
garoofiya 1 month ago
I think that you are very kind person! It took a lot of guts for you to do this. Btw, you are beautiful, with or without the make up. As an adult woman who had severe acne in to my late twenties, I can relate to the acne pain. I modeled early on, but later my acne got so bad that I lost a lot of self esteem. I now know how to apply my make-up to cover up the few scars I have left. However, I found that a deep plant enzyme treatment did wonders for me. Thanks for what you do!
lifeisgood1024 1 month ago
I have a lot of Mary Kay products. Do you think the microderm abrasion and the Serum C (collagen product) would help my pigmentation scarring. I think I got it from salicynic peels. Definitely not sun damage.

Your happiness is SO MUCH more important than your skin.

this has helped me so much!
