That's not the reason why people, such as LeeClaxton, dislike Tiësto. Those people obviously haven't heard Tiësto's compleet work. Because if they did, they only have deep respect for the man. He's more then a decade a top DJ and top producer. Tiësto didn't become nr 1 DJ, 3 years in a row, if he was such a rip-off artist. Btw, many upcoming DJ-s are operating under his name, giving new talent a chance. People hate him for his succes.

I have to say I am a bit disappointed by this release. It starts off pretty good but the main theme is not great, you can do better. Your melodies are always very uplifting and have great original trancy sounds. Here I immediatly thought of Armin's Serenity at 3:41 and Tiesto's Elements Of Life at 4:19. The melody itself is somewhat boring compared to tracks like Garden State or Medusa. Sorry to say this release is not very Airbase worthy.

I think it was his intention to replicate the classic trance music of previous years. In listening to this song, it brought me back to the "old school" when Tiesto was no.1 and Armin was up and coming. And well, the song is called "Back" for a reason. I think the concept is great, and this type of innovation is exactly what the trance scene needs.

Yeah I know his intention was to bring the classic sound back, but I don't actually recognise the classic trance in this track. Jezper's melodies are usually much more uplifting and remind me of the peak years of trance (98-01) much more, that's what I always love about his songs and why this one is a bit disappointing to me. Good anthem trance like Vincent de Moor and System F is rare these days, and Airbase is one of the few who still make it, so I hope he won't change his style too much.

and yea the melo sounds like a clash of the two tracks, but that doesnt mean it isnt good.

I find that theres not enough keys on a keyboard to make some unique and unheard of melody, so overcourse somethings are gonna overlap with others, but i do not believe it was his intention to do so

I think there is a lack of big, melodic, riff driven trance these days... its too much layer upon layer.... so it's nice to see this from you. Love it.
