The hybrid disks are stupid. If they are going to have anything, they should have a player that plays both. What's the good of buying a disk if you can only play one format? With the hybrid player, you can have both HD DVDs and Blu-Rays and play them both.

Xbox 360 has longer loading times. The games are not as bright and clear. The games freeze and have many glitches and bugs. The system itself breaks constantly. The HDDVD which they hoped would compete with Bluray has been dropped. If you want quality, go with the PS3 because it has a 0.02% failure rate. The Xbox 360 breaks ALOT more. And the 360 only outsells PS3 in USA because Americans do not realize that it sucks yet. PS3 is a much more capable system and you will all realize soon...
when both systems first came out...xbox 3shitty was 500 plus wireless internet adapter is 70 so ur at 570 plus a ugly outer hd dvd player is 200 so ur now at 770 compared to 600 for a better quality blu ray ps3, overall ps3 is less wxpensive and the better system
don't forget about when the 360 first came out they sucked ass when i got my 360 it broke on the first day that i got it. last Christmas my dad got me a ps3 it works great and i never had any problems with it and blu ray is way better than "HD dvd" or plain old dvd

Actually the Xbox 360 is still far ahead, yes the PS3 is finally selling well but the Xbox 360 and PS3 have both proven to be equally powerful systems, to be quite honest I have yet to see a game that proves that the PS3 is more powerful. I don't care about resolution, it's the quality of the games that matters to me and there is really no difference. As far as the Xbox 360 breaking is concerned, the same can be said for the PS3, which has also suffered its fair share of technological problems.
Metal Gear Solid 4 was the only ps3 game so far to use most of ps3 potential and is only possible on the PS3 because of size, power (uses more than 3 cores) and graphics

Yeah, AppleTV is cool but it is more of a threat to Blockbuster or NetFlix than the disc. No matter how big they areh ard drives will never have enough space so the disc will always be the way to go if you want something that will last forever.
HD DVD is dead. They only have 1 1/2 studios support, Universal (witch is out of contract)and Paramount that is looking for a clause. It's ovbius that just have to wait a few months to watch Universal leaves HD DVD. Time says all, take a look to Warner. It is DONE, Blu-ray WON this format war. There's nothing they can do.

What a dumb idea. Movies on a hard drive? Sure if you dont plan on keeping the for very long! Im a student of film and I have alot of movies(375) that I plan on keeping until I die. Unless someone builds a hardrive device with 4 or 5 yodabytes of space and 2 to 300 teraquads of RAM, I will just hold on to my Blu-ray disc's!

I could care less...there is no noticeable advantage Blueray has over HDDVD. Wow Blueray has 50GB and HDDVD has 30GB, the average HD movie is only 3 GB anyway. Wasted space anyone? Remeber those points you brought up when your trying to get 20 dollars for your MiniDisc player and Buray player on Ebay. Or when your using your 'unscratchable' discs as beer coasters at your HD DVD swap meet in a years time.

Yeah, AppleTV is cool but it is more of a threat to Blockbuster or NetFlix than the disc. No matter how big they areh ard drives will never have enough space so the disc will always be the way to go if you want something that will last forever.

HD DVD is dead. They only have 1 1/2 studios support, Universal (witch is out of contract)and Paramount that is looking for a clause. It's ovbius that just have to wait a few months to watch Universal leaves HD DVD. Time says all, take a look to Warner. It is DONE, Blu-ray WON this format war. There's nothing they can do.

What a dumb idea. Movies on a hard drive? Sure if you dont plan on keeping the for very long! Im a student of film and I have alot of movies(375) that I plan on keeping until I die. Unless someone builds a hardrive device with 4 or 5 yodabytes of space and 2 to 300 teraquads of RAM, I will just hold on to my Blu-ray disc's!

So what, there are more extra features on HD DVD. And I'm a prick for not being a Blu-Ray fan? Just take a movie, compare the back and you'll see A BIG DIFFERENCE. This is a fact, movie studios with Blu-Ray use BD 1.0. Also, it's cheaper...and has combo DVD/HD DVD. I don't know what people would want more...it's clear that 30Gb is enough for an HD movie, because Blu-Ray movies are written on the one layer 25Gb discs. Shut up, you're the prick.

dude....blu-ray is a failure....it fails more than the SONY BETAMAX did...you remember when sony anounced the BETAMAX ?...well i do...first of all betamax wasnt in high quality...back then VHS was even in more high quality then betamax did and VHS wasnt even in high quality...that betamax was like 3 times the VHS player...yes it was HUGE !!!they were saying that they were HR and HQ (high resolution and high quality) but it wasnt...their technology is the same thing for blu/ray....HDdvd wins

A disc is as good as it gets, next step is downloadable HD movies until TVs and Computers are made to hold hundreds of movies I doubt one will win and one will loose. Facts are HDDVD has been around longer has no bugs to work out "blueray has loads of issues" HDDVD is cheaper and easier to manufacturer "blueray is a difficult technology to work with as is the PS3 how has that worked out so far" HDDVD has double format DVD and HD on one disc.
