@cajunsoaper It could be argued that certain pitbulls have certain genetics that may make them a bit harder to handle as dogs. I think the problem is the bad image associated with that kind of dog, and the people who are actually appealed by that bad image and work hard to reinforce it. We need more science on the matter and less personal opinions :/ it's hard to be objective when you love your dog so much... :(

(Wild Bore, Bear, etc.) The jaws don't actually "lock", they are fully capable of releasing at any given time. i rescue pits in indiana. im a clinical lab scientist & let me say these dogs are the intelligent, dilligent, devoted & loving. they also have a lower crime report than many other breeds however they don't report that statistic. some breeds like labs are known biters. it doesn't make front page,but monster pit : ripped an arm off sells! the monster is the human that teaches this. if you ban pits, those monsters will come after your breeds next! any breed can be a monster if you teach it too.
